I usually boil the asparagus for 5 minutes before, tomatoe goes really well with this, as mentioned below. And a caeser dressing on the side is delicious.

I make this with cherry tomatoes in the middle and I use Italian prosciutto not bacon, and cook in the oven for 20 mins.
