You are totally on the money. It was so unbelievable I had a hard time watching it with a straight face. Put it this way: T.J. Hooker was no "Hill Street Blues." Everything was so "off" about that show. For example: In the pilot, It's supposed to be the"LCPD" edespite the uniforms, cop cars & the academy are clearly LAPD. Also if you notice the bar scene where Hooker is putting away a few drinks: If the bar is in LA, why are you showing the outside of a bar in The Bowery in Manhattan??!! LOL!!

You hit that on the nose. Blues was the incredibly serious, cops out to the sexual assault suspect and Travanti as the far too aware of himself and his stat sheet administrators. Hooker was the show, regardless of Captain Sheridan and his dance fever star, Adrian Zmed, as his rookies partner. Looklear was nice, but as what the world would like to see in a cop's uniform or short shots. Fun stuff, though!
