It's not really that dangerous. The waves are pretty small, not breaking, and the fact that the seawall is reflecting the waves back out to sea means that it is unlikely the swimmers will be washed against the wall. I love how the waves being reflected outward from the seawall meet with the incoming waves and make that big upward splash of water. Looks like fun!

I've been swimming here when I was a kid and the currents are mega strong, today health and safety would prevent us. What they're doing is potentially dangerous but lots of things are, just walking into the sea is in some places - you dont want to tread on a stone fish or get bitten by a blue ringed octopus but you shouldn't let the 1 in a million chance stop ya!

The only danger is the experience of those in the water to read the conditions - which you cannot tell simply by trying to judge over a video.
