  • Now there really is an injustice in Perugia

  • how come this gooh dee guy is going to get out in 8 yrs--sentence 16 but law usually gives you half .hhhhmmm .. rudee comming to a neighborhood near you

  • Amanda Knox is Innocent and so is her boyfriend

  • I believe that many, perhaps most, of the panel members' points were valid but there was severe bias in the delivery of each talk. I thought the issue of the stageed break-in was glass on top of the clothes strewn around on the floor. The speaker was saying that the basis for claiming a stage break-in was glass underneath the clothes and other items. Anyway, how could these speakers not acknowledge some of the things that suggested guilt. Very biased.

  • @mcallkrm completely biased yes, but i'm not sure they ever put themselves out to be anything but biased, with an agenda. The very first person to speak is anecdotal. They are all personally and emotionally invested and they don't pretend not to be. They believed in her innocence and wanted to bring her home and they had every reason to, made clear by this presentation.

  • @mcallkrm If she wanted to stage a break in why carry a rock inside, throw it at the windows with the shutters shut then go back outside to throw the rock away. She would have just thrown the rock from the outside. Like most of the prosecutions theories, it just doesn't make any sense at all. What does make sense is that they guy who's DNA was all over the crime scene who was known to recently break into multiple places and threaten people with knives did just that.

  • 1:06:44 worst case I've ever seen in a western country?...Where was this genious when LA police totally botched up OJ Simpson's investigation completely screwing such a slam dunk case?

I'm Italian and I think the investigation was definitely flawed but in the end the system worked and justice WAS done, at least partially, recognizing that the evidence wasn't reliable enough.

The poor victim's family in the OJ's case will never get their justice...

  • Perfect video. Amateur sound, recorded from somewhere in the back of the auditorium, picking up all coughs and grunts and whispering in the operator's booth (?) and randomn noises and what not.

    Why?

  • @bromchifray We'd like to tell you that we have the budget for a high end video and audio production capability but as a small newspaper our budget to acquire gear for video production (especially gear with the necessary range and sophistication to pick up only the amplified audio and no other sounds) is too small. We do the best we can with what we have. You might recommend some gear but frankly it will fail to persuade management that we should spend the money.

  • That was funny that the moderator thanked the audience for "coming out on this rainy day." What day ISN'T rainy in Seattle???

  • Reminds me of the tapes of tobacco executives lying to congress. There's no way that all these people can have spent so much time on this case and not realize that Amanda is at a minimum an accessory to murder.

  • @iestyn55 So..she killed her in a satanic sex orgy gone bad, with a drifter they all met that night. Anyone that believes that is a damn fool.

  • An open forum made up of only partizan / pro Knox speakers + a likewise Chairman. Good to see USA practices good democracy. Much of the deposition from this forum is heavily flawed - particularly the evidence presented by the former FBI agent about the staged break-in. This guy hasn't read the evidence.

  • @stefd321 On the contrary. They are among the few that DID read the evidence. BTW it's spelled p-a-r-t-i-s-a-n.

But being convinced of a belief in this case did not come BEFORE the evidence was viewed and weighed. There's nothing wrong with being in favor or opposed to one way of thinking or another but your comment suggests that these are universally incompetent people who simply accepted an idea with no thought. It's clear instead that most of those who believe in her guilt are simply wrong.

  • @WestSeattleHerald

I need no English lesson from the West Seattle Herald. Partizan is a variant of Partisan - both mean the same and either version used. However, the West Seattle Herald can perhaps brush up on basic English comprehension. My succinct comment basically highlighted the fact that the debate was heavily weighed in favour (English UK spelling) of Knox. Here in London debates are represented by both sides of the argument. This debate was Partizan or even Partisan. Regards Stef.

  • @stefd321 Then perhaps you should look up the definition of debate. The panel was clearly

correct. It wasn't a debate in which two opposing sides argue their case. It was panel of assembled experts who presented their views on the evidence that had been assembled to convict Knox and Sollecito.

The spelling you refer to is British. This was an American panel of American experts.

  • @WestSeattleHerald

Churchill was absolutely correct - Americans and the British have many things in common. However, it's the use of the English language that divides us.

Alas, the use of English has been flagrantly corrupted somewhere along the Atlantic.

  • @WestSeattleHerald Ah, I'm sorry! I misread your comment. For some reason I connected the "particularly the evidence presented by the former FBI agent" and "This guy hasn't read the evidence" in my mind. That part of my comment can be disregarded.

  • @stefd321 Whether "both sides" are present has literally nothing to do with the validity of what is said by the individuals in this panel. A panel on evolutionary biology isn't discredited due to the absence of creationists.

I just did a search for "amanda knox FBI agent" and found many reports of a former FBI agent that made the case that Knox is innocent, so I have no idea what you're referring to. Are you perhaps referring to the fake DNA evidence or misattributed footprint?

  • @stefd321 yes he has, extensivley, and so have I, including the Massei report. i love what guilters and semi guilters do. u say it is heavily flawed.. ok, where is a panel of scientific rebuttal? where EXACTLY is his view "flawed".. anyone can scream foul, prove it!! make your case with specifics based on experts in their field.. many of Amanda supporters are experts in their field... show me the recognized experts on the other side who argue for guilt based on the facts?

  • its also a fact that police managed to "fry-burn" Amanda's and Raff's Hard drives from their computers, which could have had exculpatory evidence to exhonorate them... I work in computer tech.. u can almost always get back info from a damaged HD using certain techniques in a clean room enviorment.. but where are the hard drives? the defense asked for them,, police said they were thrown away... these drives again, could have shown the 2 were on computers as they claimed. at the time of death

  • How convienant right? the odds of that happening to both hard drives from seperate computers are remote at best. the odds of not being able to extract the needed info are even more remote..this is just one aspect not covered in this presentation.. to the modern reasonable thinker, it is quite clear what happened in this case.. its a rail road job, all in order to get a conviction because of a preconceived presumption.

  • and police 47 days later sure seemed to be really obsessed in their video taping of that bra clasp, as if they knew they had the smoking gun.. so clear when looking at the whole case it was likely planted or contaminated. and where is a clear motive? the prosecution has changed that one a few times. staged break in? how lucky AK and RS must have been to know the exact M.O of Rudy Guede to throw rocks to break into to 2nd story windows.. Occams Razor has to be ignored to believe in the staging.

  • @iestyn55 After studying everything I can find regarding the evidence in this case, I would tend to agree with you . . . if there were any evidence that could even place her in Kircher's room. But there is none, not even a scrap of it. Which means it is impossible for her to have been there.

  • Interesting panel, though Steve Moore @ 55:55 makes a verbal blunder and completely mis-states facts regarding the case. He states the prosecution believes the broken window was staged because there were "clothes on top of the glass." It is the complete opposite. The prosecution actually claims that "glass was found on top of the clothes." The glass on top of clothes supports that ransacking occured before the window was broke. Has Moore ever addressed this obvious error?

  • @thetafarm It's a verbal misstep..that's all.

It's tantamount to claiming someone is wrong factually because of a typo. He's not aware of this inversion of phrase since he has never seen this video or read your comment.

    West Seattle Herald

  • @WestSeattleHerald Yes, but the rest of his argument after the misstep perpetuates that incorrect notion. He spends the rest of his argument proving that clothes on top of glass means a robbery/ransacking (which is obvious), when the entire time, Romanelli claimed that she thought it was weird that glass was on top of her clothes. He appears oblivious during that section as to what Romanelli claimed.

  • @thetafarm All the teeth gnashing, all the phenomenal amount of time, energy, and human emotion that so many have invested in this case will in all likelihood be exactly what it appears to be. One of the biggest wastes of time in recent human history. Stop wasting your time and life analyzing what you suppose to be a verbal blunder on the part of a peripheral character. Go outside, enjoy your life. This will proceed with or without your considered opinion. What you say here is MEANINGLESS.

  • @WestSeattleHerald Jeesh, relax. I actually think Amanda Knox should be set free. I just wondered if Moore had ever followed up on this. It's not even a matter of opinion. He's simply stating incorrect facts about that particular part. It can't be argued. He's wrong on that matter. You seem to be a bit sensitive about it though, so I'll just conclude that you hate your job as youtube video comment moderator person and not take it personal. :-)

  • @thetafarm In case you are unaware, there are several websites devoted to every last silly detail of every word ever uttered about this case in which meanings are parsed, debated, and batted about endlessly. What matters like this throw into high relief is that many people, with very little else to do, see uninformed third party debate as a high form of entertainment. As a news organization we've been repeatedly attacked, threatened with legal consequences, and had our personal privacy invaded.

  • @WestSeattleHerald An innocent girl is in jail, one of the best ex-FBI guys comes forward and starts publicly finding holes in the police case, in doing so makes a glaring error of logic and fact, someone points this out and you accuse him of nitpicking? If you think this is pointless discussion, why put up a vid like this? wtf

  • The Knox lobby is huge.

  • "I will only say of the interrogation, that if any FBI Agents I supervised had conducted that interrogation in the U.S., I would have had them indicted. I am not surprised that Amanda made incriminating and conflicting statements in such a horrible situation. I am more surprised that under that duress, she didn’t make more incriminating (but ultimately false) statements." ~Steve Moore FBI Agent

  • @sclgable This antogonizes anti-America people bc out of context Moore sounds like he is extolling the virtues of the American justice system. He didn't mean it that way, of course....

  • @stacerobin1 Good point. I believe the evidence Moore presented speaks for itself with a logical conclusion.

  • 4) The tiny, small amount of Meredith's DNA [not blood, it was tested and it was NOT blood] on the blade of the knife was so small it was inaccurate. It had 5 picograms on it. Anything under 200 picograms is considered "low copy number" DNA and can only be tested by the best forensic scientists out there. Stefanoni wasn't certified to perform LCN DNA testing. New testing shows that the substance could be starch, which could've come from lab gloves.

  • "Amanda would not even have been a suspect in any US investigation. A sex murder occurs and your prime suspect is the female roommate? Experienced, or simply competent investigators would have known that statistically, 90% of murders are committed by men. When women commit murder, only 16% use a knife, and close examination might show that the vast majority of those are gang-related." ~Steve Moore FBI Agent

  • "The investigators in this matter appeared to have decided upon a conclusion, and repeatedly changed their story so that the evidence would suit their conclusions. After the evidence came back that Rudy Guede sexually assaulted Meredith, did it not occur to the investigators that they had a simple rape/murder?The simplest answer is usually the correct answer. Crimes are only this complicated in James Bond movies." ~ Steve Moore FBI Agent

  • 1) Luminol doesn't just pick up blood - it can pick up bleach, soil, etc. The footprints of were only tested for DNA, not whether or not they were blood, and three out of six of them were Amanda's. None of them had Meredith's DNA in them.

    2) The knife wasn't the murder weapon, it was too large and didn't match Meredith's wounds nor the bloody imprint on the bed.

    3) Well, yeah, the knife is going to have her DNA on it. She used it to cook.

    [continued]

  • @MrVemola

    1. NO usable DNA on knife.

    2. Footprints NOT blood, NOT cleaned with bleach, NOT proven to be Amanda's, NOT consistent with person leaving Meredith's room.

    3. Shoe prints ALL Rudy's

    4. Ear witness too far away from crime scene, behind double glass, nearly deaf, and has mental problems.

    5. Eye witness "saw" defendants the day BEFORE murder.

Many more. Not enough space here to list.

THAT is how to make a point. Don't just say "mountain of evidence". Give examples.

  • @jmoult112

    It has now been posted

search on Amanda Knox Forum Q and A

  • Just curious, I have just come across this and I for one am not sure either way! But if I was on that jury, I would have had to set her free! The evidence that I have just scene in the documentary about this. And that is souly what I know as of now. But why is there so many Comments removed? If they are comments from he ones that thinks she is guilty. Let everyone state there opinions! If you want to argue and be childish go somewhere else! But the prosecution , n the jury were on crack!

  • @jasonbusuttil1 How would you know that comments were removed if you've "just come across this"?

The fact is that we shot a video of an event. People who want to attack US regarding this case are removed. We are not required to permit verbal abuse or nonsensical arguments. So, we remove those that serve no purpose in our view. The web is a big place. Comments are allowed on many sites. We remove those we find inappropriate and pointless.

  • @jasonbusuttil1 i agree with you...i been watching everything about Amanda Knox and i don't think the evidence they have are good enough to prove that she killed her....i think is pretty dumb and they should just let her go....

  • Wished they'd been able to cover more ground.

  • I notice from the comments that the "usual guilters" are doing their usual numbers. Hi to Norbert, Samantha, Farmer, Cesare, etal...do you guys ever sleep? Amanda Knox and Raffele Sollecito are innocent. The only forensic material found in or around Meredith Kercher belongs to Rudy Guede. Rudy Guede raped and killed Meredith Kercher all by himself. Mignini, who created the Amanda scenario in his sick mind, is psychotic and has no place in Italy's legal system....end of story.

  • @joancj1 Why is that all of you ( Knox's 'fan club' ) choose to IGNORE the evidence in this case? Do you even realize how pathetic and childish you look? You accuse the italian justice system of framing these 2 idiots, but you are fine with the same system when it's about Rudy Guede.

I hope you can sleep at night

  • @noraalex

No forensic material belonging to either Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito was found in Meredith Kercher's tiny bedroom. The ONLY forensic material found in the room and in Meredith belonged to Rudy Guede. FACT: Guede raped and murdered Meredith all by himself...period...end of story.

When I see blatant Injustice I don't sleep all that well, thank you, and neither should you.

  • @joancj1 Copy pasting the same lies will not make me believe you, you just sound like those religious fanatics that take the bible as supreme truth. If you want to prove something, back it up with FACTS not bedtime stories. There are people wrongfully imprisoned that really need help, but miss Knox is not one of them. She's just a bad liar that takes advantage on her looks to sell her BS story to naive people like you.

  • @joancj1 You really should study the trial itself, rather than rely on Mr Moore's hyperbole. Knox's DNA was found in five seperate places, mixed with Kercher's blood. Her footprint and her boyfriend's footprint were found using luminol. Knox's DNA is on the murder weapon, which had Kercher's DNA on the blade. The break-in was quite clearly staged. Moore's hypothesis of Guede as a 'lone wolf' makes no sense at all. Can you really not see the gaping, illogical holes in his arguments?

  • @tvdd1973

What gaping, illogical holes???...they only exist for those like you who refuse to acknowledge the truth. Rudy Guede raped and murdered Meredith Kercher all by himself, If it's technological expertise you want, I strongly recommend you read "The Monster of Perugia"....and stay tuned for the conclusion of the independent forensics team curently working on this evidence. All of the "items" you mention above either don't exist or were manufactured by the prosecutor.

  • @joancj1 The idea that Italy (a US ally since the end of WWII-there are US planes using their Italian bases to help in Libya right now) would 'frame' an innocent American woman AND (don't forget) an innocent Italian man is a nonsense. NO justice system is perfect, we all know that, and mistakes DO happen but judges do NOT send people to prison for 20-odd years with no evidence. Look at the EVIDENCE, argue against it if you like, but don't pretend that it doesn't exist, which is what Moore does.

  • @tvdd1973

Any country, including the US, can, will and has framed and convicted innocent people...watch any of the mutilple crime shows on TV these days. Steve Moore is a well-respected former FBI agent who knows whereof he speaks. What are your credentials? As far as I can see, you prefer to believe a psychotic prosecutor and a corrupt police force who manufactured a scenario and will do anything including lying and manufacturing evidence to support their crazy scenario.

  • @joancj1 Exactly. People would rather believe a nutcase prosecutor and investigator who said, "We knew she was guilty of murder without physical evidence." Common sense prevails and so will the truth.

  • @joancj1 Why don't you look at the EVIDENCE itself rather than relying on what Moore TELLS you the evidence is? Why don't you do some research on Italian law, rather than rely on what Moore TELLS you is Italian law? Moore says a number of things in this video which are demonstrably false and a look at the trial itself, plus a dash of common sense, would SHOW you where he's lying. What harm does it do you to at least CHECK his claims, rather than swallowing them whole?

  • @tvdd1973

I think you and noraalex would make a lovely couple. You can scream at each other...bye-bye...

  • @noraalex

Again, the guilter club at work. Busy, busy bees, y'all!

You people are great at insults, rants, raves, etc...but not so great at the TRUTH...and the truth is that Rudy Guede raped and murdered Meredith Kercher all by himself. Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are innocent. You can scream at me all you wish if it makes you feel better, but the truth remains the truth.

  • @joancj1 Not busier than you, i don't troll the forums and comment sections copy pasting an aberration ;). But i might start, seems it's in fashion between FOA. I have read all the reports, your rant is childish and you know it. I'll stop trying to have a discussion with you, but as i said in a previous post you're worse than religious fanatics. Ignoring a mountain of evidence to spread the same crap all day doesn't get you more credibility. She's going down no matter how much you're nagging ;)

  • @noraalex

I didn't start this, but I'm finishing it now. Unfortunately I allowed myself to "cast pearls before swine"...but no more. You can rant and rave all you wish, but you won't induce me to answer you again. I should know better..that's the game you guilters play all over the net and I usually don't let myself to get caught up in it. by-bye...

  • @joancj1 Agreed. It's so obvious from top to bottom. Millions of people are media sheep, they can't think for themselves. American, Italian and Brit alike. I'm frankly scared shitless to see how this plays out.

  • @WestSeattleHerald

So one person stays to film, one moves the car?

It just looks and sounds so convenient and shows you in a bad light imho, plus the fact that no opposite views were brought up at all, makes it all seem so stage managed.

  • The Q&A was shot by one or two other people, I am told, and that will be posted soon, and hopefully linked to by WSH.

  • @MonsterofPerugia

The Q and A is now posted

search on Amanda Knox Forum Q and A

  • I am attempting to check a fact about this case, and have the dubvious distinction of being blocked from both major sites (both pro and con) I have read the court reports both Massei and Micheli and cannot find an answer to a question. Meredith's purse was examined and found to have mixed DNA from eredith and Guede (Massei translation pages 191/192. Does anyone know if this purse was tested for blood?

  • MatrixMatrixMatrix: Can you please stop with this utterly frustrating "NO EVIDENCE" comment that keeps getting banded about. THERE IS A MOUNTAIN OF EVIDENCE, some disputed, some fact but your statement that there is no evidence is frankly disgraceful.

  • Someone should have asked that if the suits they were wearing were wrong, why they were the wrong ones? What are the right ones and why are they better for not transferring "contamination". Baloney if you ask me.

Also what he does not say is that the forensic team only allowed 1 person per room to collect evidence, and that the defense team reviewed their practices and procedures during the trial. Strange how that was not mentioned.

  • Amanda is innocent. There is absolutely NO evidence or witnesses to show otherwise. The convicted felon/prosecutor should be locked up. Amanda should be freed. Case closed.

  • Good stuff. Great stuff in fact. And now we find those morons in Perugia were using hazmat moon suits not proper equipment. It is like they never heard of cross contamination. If your average nurse displayed such ignorance he/she would be fired. The Scientific Police are just a bunch of fakers who think they can get away with anything. The case is falling apart. The emperor has no clothes. Prosecutor Mignini is running around in the nude. .

  • Interesting video from a completely biassed panel of people. Knox is guilty and these buffoons know it.

Hopefully the real panel of experts in Perugia will keep the murderers where they belong and exactly where they are now. In Jail.

  • Oh Norbert, you troll. Have you no life? Following this case around the Internet and spewing hatred at every opportunity. You are the pathetic one. I hear your Mommy calling, it's time to clean the old pizza boxes out of your room.

  • In the name of humanity, set these people free. Their innocence has been proved beyond any reasonable doubt. We cannot let this horrendous miscarriage of justice go on any longer. Keep fighting, folks and let our opposers see that we mean business. There is no evidence connecting Amanda and Raffaele to this crime.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I wish I could have been there! Thank you all for all the great work you are doing to expose this horrifying injustice! Anyone who still thinks that these two are guilty is purely delusional! The evidence PROVES their innocence!

  • It was recorded at Seattle University. In America we have freedom of speech. You will want to see the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

  • Astonishing! surely this is slanderous of the italian prosecutors. How can UW film studies department justify this?

  • Thank you for posting this. The video is extremely informative and very interesting. It is so clear that Amanda and Raffaele are innocent. There is no evidence of them at that crime scene - why? BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT THERE. Free them!

  • The evidence clearly is for innocence. I commend them for taking the time to try to inform others.
