Most people's inability to pay for health care in the first place was a direct result of government regulation, lawyers, and general excessive government which is consuming all of our money.

A big issue that many individuals fail to examine is the fact that healthcare reform could be the death to American insurance companies which can possibly cause even more economic turmoil. With this having been discussed in several lectures that my proffesors have given, it seems to me that people are not considering the fact that the insurance industry will suffer, therefore further damaging the american economy because more jobs will be lost and businesses will be closed.

On one side we are sick of paying for illegal immigrants who get free health care by going to an er every time they have the sniffles. They bankrupt hospitals in other states I'll be damned if it happens here. We want our money to be spent for good reason. That is one reason many don't approve Obama care which will provide the care to everyone and even everything out. @Dahnje: how convenient for the federal government to blame the insurance companies, when the job of policing them is the responsibility of the government. had they let them be cross-state providers there would be competition which would bring the prices down. believe me, if this healthcare bill passes, it still won't affect the insurance companies. i can almost guarantee it. the feds go where the money is. period.

As of Monday morning, Republican Scott Brown has 76,538 fans on his Facebook page. With polls opening in less than 24 hours, Democrat Martha Coakley has 14,441 fans.
On Twitter, Brown has 10,187 followers compared to Coakley's 3,514 followers.
