Im a yank, but I hear nothing but praise about this guy and ITN work (though people say it's gone downmarket). His adieu was very abrupt though, in america newsreaders normally take up at least 5 minutes to say their goodbyes, and that's if they don't do a clip show, HAHA!

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. ITN has gone downhill now and his goodbye was very short, but he did do a lot of interviews and TV work after he left, which made up for it.

Hmm my opinion has changed of him since being in his own programme "News Knight". Maybe he wants to show a different side which is good in away being remembered for having a funny side but why spoil it for being remembered as a great broadcast journalist and lose some respect?!
