@superpwn2000 that's what it says. The hamilton 20k has had a slight color shift due to a year of use but it was always very white. I don't know exactly how aquarium lights do there kelvin ratings but a typical 10,000k car HID bulb would be way more blue than either of these bulbs.
@hugo2x The Hamilton looks like a 10k. A 20K would be extremely blue. I run 2x250w that are 14k and they're way bluer than your supposed 20K Hamilton.
@superpwn2000 It's kinda like the odyssea "15k" bulb that almost looks yellow and has no blue to it at all. I just replaced it with one of these phoenix 14ks and it looks fantastic.
@Zack07G Its just a nicer tint, the low wavelength light helps bring out the bright colors in the coral. in fact, puts out slightly less usable light than a whiter bulb. but this is a good thing cause algae seems to love light with more red (high wavelength) in it.
will this pheonix 14k 150Watt fit my biocube hqi as a replacement bulb???

why you have a yellow tang in there is beyond me.
Not cool at all man.

@emnityganker It was to remove a catastrophic algae problem I had, see earlier videos before blatantly judging my motives.
