@Mrfreeworld1000 It was a recurring joke in the episode where some shoe company would call one of the characters in the sketch and ask their shoe size.
squirting Timothy White's sun cream all over their puffy raw swollen.....fat german business pretending to be acrobats......tiny emaciated dago with 9-inch hips....hairy bandy-legged,,,waiters named Manuel....and then he throws up all over the Cuba Libras......
....SHUT UP,,,,,,,,SHUT UP!!!........SHUT UP!!!!........SHUT YOUR BLOODY GOB!!!
After about thirty seconds of Eric's...whatever...I just sat there with a blank look as it all went in one ear and out the other. Poor Michael, he looks so desperate to make it stop.
Annie Elk is John's recreation of Peter Sellers' character Bluebottle from the Goon Show, complete with voice, dialog, and the entire "what it is, which is mine" routine.

i love this sketch! john bleese and erib idle are the funniest, but mibhael palin is funny, too! i love watching him trying to stop erib from ranting!
Mike is irresistibly cute in this... I love his hair and sideburns.
And Eric is bloody amazing. Sure it was him that wrote it... but remembering all of the complaint and saying it without a hitch is insane... Even more so when he's running around the Hollywood Bowl.
It is not an omission. It was only in the Hollywood bowl version of the sketch. Specifically for Americans. It was never part of the original sketch as best as I can remember.
@AtheistEvolution It wasn't. If you take a look at the Hollywood Bowl version, a lot of sketches were edited to fit American audiences ("The Wink Wink" sketch, for 1).
Brilliant sketch but a slightly better version is on the Monty Python at the Hollywood Bowl video....The classic line..."What dont you use the letter K instead of the letter B"
According to an article I read ages ago, all the Python shows (and I would presume other shows as well) had to be' OK'd by one of the bosses at the BBC, who could make the decisions about what was acceptable for broadcast and what was not. Apparently on this occasion he thought the "silly bunt" line had gone that bit too far, so even though the show was recorded with the offending line in place, it had to be cut for showing on BBC television. Unfortunately the cut master is all that survives.
I remember something about that. I think I read in palin's diary that there were a lot of occurances like that. there was one where graham was asked what his hobbies were..he said golfing, killing cats, and masterbation, maybe that wasn't exactly what he said but everyone laughed when he said masterbation, but it still had to be cut.
That line has quite an interesting history. The line "strangling animals, golf and masturbating" was shown in the original broadcast, but on repeat showings the offending line was re-edited so that Graham now said "golf, strangling animals"... followed by a very clumsy cut in which there is a very noticeable "jump" in the picture and a sudden burst of audience laughter. This edit is what was used on the American DVDs of the Flying Circus, but the sketch did make it to the UK releases uncensored.
The "m" word was removed because of, once again, "those upstairs" at the BBC. Strangely, though, this cut master tape was used in the 'Best Of' Monty Python's Flying Circus' UK DVD set, but not in the later 'Complete Series' 4 disc set. The sketch was also shown uncut on the 80s UK VHS releases.
I forgot what the sketch was about,,,

That line has quite an interesting history. The line "strangling animals, golf and masturbating" was shown in the original broadcast, but on repeat showings the offending line was re-edited so that Graham now said "golf, strangling animals"... followed by a very clumsy cut in which there is a very noticeable "jump" in the picture and a sudden burst of audience laughter.
