So cool. I dig watching mike's videos as you can see how much he loves playing along to Rush. I recognized him right away in this vid. Great job all the way around. More please.
@CircusEnvy23 Those guys were already working together and thanks to the *related videos on Youtube, they came across one of my Rush videos and asked me if I wanted to play. Mike the guitarist organized most of everything. He's in Germany!
@fdeeptone We all record our parts along to the same mp3, usually try to record the audio/video together- no faking....except maybe the singer when he does scenes running around. Stuff gets mixed & synced- which is very difficult and then videos are synced with audio. :D Thanks for asking. Snowdoguk has more info on how on his site.
sounded great, minus the bass drum. sory bro... sounds like a card board box. I am sure a mic issue or something, but as a drummer that was hard to listen to. Especially this style of music. Peart needs better
you probably gonna cut off my #@&*% for saying this but Standing Up Straight is and will always BE the #1 lesson to perform/excercise your songs/tunes
I disagree. The bass should be positioned in a way that allows you to practice both standing and sitting with little penalty. It should be in the same spot regardless - if not, your strap needs to be adjusted. The Master, Billy Sheehan, will tell you this.
It wasn't meant to be offensive - I was simply stating that it's important for the bass to be in the same spot whether you sit or stand, so changing positions doesn't alter your playing. Totally neutral. :)
best rush tribute group i have ever seen, great combination, going to watch some of your other videos...... PLUS bass player looks a great deal better than geddy! excellent work.... would love to hear / watch some of snakes and arrows with the same line up! Armour and sword ? and way the wind blows?
Valerie, I agree that the record companies need to think more closely about the stuff they yank from YouTube.
This is free exposure for bands that aren't that popular, or for older bands, it can introduce them to an entirely new audience!
i.e. the Jeff Beck live at Ronnie's DVD we talked about - had I not come across the clips on YouTube, I wouldn't have bought the DVD, or Tal Wilkenfeld's CD (both of which I have ordered). They'll go right next to "Guitar Shop".
I just notice something really interesting, alot of you guys music sound like something from the late 80's to early 90's. Please tell me i am not the only one who notice this?
I guess thats why i love your music so much, and it sounds so cool, because back in the day, music back then was amazing.
Yes- you nailed it. This is a cover of the 1987 album from RUSH - Hold Your Fire - We are all fans of Rush and thought it would be fun to try and make one of their songs together. Thanks !:)
Forgive me for asking a dumb question, but whats new that you guys has release, or you going to put out a new album, are your albums sold at retail stores, like best buy and stuff? or cdbbay?
We are a *virtual band* . Our releases are videos on Youtube. Mike the guitarist is putting the covers we did on the VirtuallyRush myspace page and he is doing original music too, but I am not on those recordings.
Alright thanks for clearing that up, i will send a link to the myspace page soon, and yours and david already added me.
The music back in the day was amazing, music now has really change, nothing bad, but you know. I think the only band besides you guys that hasn't change much is the Smashing Pumpkins.
I love this song, but I have a suggestion: the parts when Geddy Lee plays bass are too low. We hardly can listen the bass guitar, and we know how important is the sound of it to the song.
I loved your version of this song, one of the best.
hey val EXCELLENT!!!....that singer really nailed the vocals and val you sound and look wonderful as always.and as i have said before its just a matter of time before we get to admire you on a grand stage in the big time. keep rockin val peace sis
How can it be "international " when only one is outside North America out of five?..
Still, like it. Can't fault it really and even if it's basically american, that's a few thousand miles to cover without even a country to invade.. hehe..
.... um, that makes us basically UK/European and very international with "only" 40% American participation... but hey, the 40% is worth it's weight in gold :-)
This Sounds Awesome! Virtual Bands is an Excellent Idea! Your part sounds great. CoolBear777 sings very good and has a voice very suitable for this kind of music.

Someone lays out a click track and you all record individually then mix and edit?
I would hope someday that it could be done live from all different locations without
the lag issues that the internet connections would cause.
Any input on how this was recorded?
Thanks:) and btw great show, was really cool to watch.

depends on your definition of "international." when last i checked... Holland and Germany weren't part of North America.
international (adj.) -
1- intercontinental
2- existing, occurring, or carried on between two or more nations
3- used by people of many nations (as via YouTube)
________
so, i pretty much stand by my original statement.
gmanjam 2 years ago
Mea Culpa..
Consider my mouth shut and my apology public.. I relied on inaccurate information and my own predjudice.. My apologies for inaccurate statements.
BWFSabian 2 years ago
snowdoguk.. band founder UK
hubandre.....band co-founder The Netherlands
pauliewanna.. Canada
Audio/Video production.. UK
Co-ordination and direction.. UK
.... um, that makes us basically UK/European and very international with "only" 40% American participation... but hey, the 40% is worth it's weight in gold :-)
