on the other hand do you think anybody buth megadeth could redo their albums and still sound fairly good at dave's age? I don't metallica could redo kill em all for remaster.
vocals/backing vocals suck wet baby diapers but the drum are better/ remastered is better IMO vocal-wise, martys backing vocals are so bad there kinda funny in a way
@theroach10 yea i got the same ones that are the originals and they were hard as hell to find and i have cryptic writings the gray back, and youth, and risk and hidden treasure and the others are remastered and i have the original md45 album and the remastered one and daves voice sounds better on it
@dbg3006 I know that it has something to do with him not being able to find all of the original master tapes. He probably went to remix it and because of that, he was forced to remaster.
@icee489 The same reason why he released The System Has Failed as a Megadeth record rather than a Dave Mustaine solo album. It was in one of his business deals that he do so. (He continued Megadeth after enjoying being back in Megadeth so much and he thought his "solo" album sounded like Megadeth anyway)
@icee489 I dont remember which album he decided to remaster first, all I know is that after doing so he got a boner with the result and decided to remaster all the albums
well, the voice is much better here, but the sound is better on the remastered edition overall

I really wish Dave wouldn't have "remastered" (and wound up re-recording much of) these albums. They sound WAY better in their original form.

@poopmaster13 Its not that it was entirely his doing - they had lost A LOT of the tracks from the original recordings.

The only thing that needed mastering on Rust in Peace were the Five Magics. Nothing else.

I think the remaster is pretty good actually. apart from the drumkit sounding like a 4 year old is playing. old one is a lot heavier

@KillJoy353 he wanted to give fans music while he was in rehab for his arm/wrist.

@KillJoy353 I think he had to fulfill a contract with the record label, I'm not 100% positive on that though.

Call me crazy, but for some reason I prefer the vocals Mustaine did on the remaster.
Both versions kick ass though.
