i have an ATI 5750, i think mine is faster than this one right? or what do you think? this one has 256 bit yes, but mine has GDDR5, and 720 Stream cores, this one is 640 ( 320 x 2) soo not sure i think mine is faster...

pretty good. that rig would probably be able to hit 40 fps, mabye higher if run on 1280x1024, which is all the higher my monitor will run

With Max Strength you loose health while shooting.

Anyway, Crysis don't realy support 3870X2, the game run as if it was only a 3870. Your framerate is close to one 3870.

With maximum strength your aim is more stable, so you gain precision while shooting and aiming ;) However, I have a 3870x2 and my fps are higher, generally between 35 and 40 in this level; in this video the performance are very low for a 3870x2...

May be, but try this: take your weapon, choose maximum strength and shoot anywhere. Your health will down very very fast.

I think it was quite useless, 'cause your were very close to them.

Anyway, i never use Max Strength for shooting, and i've no problem to put one bullet in the head of a korean that is far away or close to me. So i'm not sure Maxmum Strength give more precision. :/

@Meuh974 you dont loose health you only loose suit energy its the same as when you puch or jump in strenght mode , you lose energy and yes you have lot more precision you dont have recoil when shooting in strenght mode

I think the GTX260 is better.. or at least at crysis. I got the 3870X2 for 570$ when it was released. ( I'm using a GTX 280 now )

Not really. Get a 4870 instead. 3870X2 won't use both cores in most of the games because ATi doesn't support so many games.

I have Powercolor Radeon HD 3870 PSU overclocked on:-core: 820 Mhz and -memory 1200 Mhz... Running crysis, all on very high, 1680x1050 0xAA something about 20-25 fps... Maybe its slower to you because of the fraps...

The radeon 3870 is comparable to the geforce 9600gt. So having a 3870x2 is like having a 9600 gt in sli.

Wow, I never tried that kind of vcard,that's an out of budget here, but I am very satisfy with my atlon 3000+, 8600 gt 512 mb runs great on CRYSIS even on all high settings @ 1024x768 (which my old monitor can support). NO lags and no delays okies, only great graphics and a very nice game experience just the same what I see on this clip.

1680x1050. It runs better than 3870 X2 on high. I watched only the beginning of this video. His FPS is dropping much when he's near the buildings. I get at least 25 everywhere (minimum FPS 25 with 1680x1050 very high).

4870 X2 is pretty good for 1680x1050 monitor. But truth is that on 1920x1200 monitor will be better for using 4870 X2 with it. I'm getting new monitor soon.

The 3870X2 is 15% slower than 9800GX2,but the 9800GX2 costs more(3870X2 = £150 ,9800GX2 = £217)

Is it worth paying roughly an extra 40% on a 9800GX2 for an extra 15% gain in performance over a 3870X2?Hell no!!

You can even buy a 4870 for £175,still alot cheaper than a 9800GX2 or GTX260/280

And its only 11% slower than the 9800GX2 and 13% slower than the big bad GTX280(costs £250 btw),isnt it glaringly obvious who is giving better value for money when it comes to graphics cards these days?

you should look up a vid where they compare the gtx 280 with the ati 4870 on crysis. the gtx is slightly faster but more then double the prices of a 4870. so if you put in 2 4870's the card gets kicked ass ;)
