@sharlet08 Yes, i do have a tutorial for the mapmaker. Check out the other videos made by me. However, to make a quest, you're going to need to do some scripting. It's going to require a basic knowledge of coding and familiarizing yourself with the scripting language daimonin is using (Lua, i believe). The best way to do it is to grab a quest that's similar to the one you want to make and duplicate it, then open it in an editor such as notepad++ and modify. Good luck!
Hmmm, i could try that. I really wish that the upload to youtube was faster... the whole thing takes a good 10 minutes at least :/. Still, it's not the movie that has the problem; the original runs fine in winamp or any other player. I bet it's the format for some reason :/
Well, i'm afraid i wouldn't be able to fulfill your request. It's a preference of Michael Toennis, the maker of the game (and a preference shared by most developers and players alike). It is just a simple way to keep out a Unislash100 or Micht0en, or just the general elvis54 (where we have multiple people using the same name). Thanks for the comment, though :D
I'd apreciate it if this comment board doesn't contain comparisons to other games such as RS or WoW. This is not the place. I hate to come across as serious (cause i'm not), but i will not hesitate to delete comments. I really do appreciate comments such as Adamdowson's and puresplz, though :).
Just to follow up on anything that may sound (indeed, be) a bit... uncertain or general in sr4jes's comment:
-It doesn't look the same. RS is running (or at least says) it is running on a 3D engine. Daimonin is simply running a 2D engine, altough we have made progress with out 3D Client.
-Daimonin has way less people, and consequently a smaller population of newbies and idiots.
-Daimonin is a completely free game; it is open source. Daimonin has more items, and probably more playing area.
That's a really nice comment. You try making a free MMORPG and you'll find that it takes tens of thousands of hours of work from more than one person to get to the point we did years ago. Please, go to runescape and ask them how much they spent on the development; I'll tell you now as a developer of daimonin that we have spent solely the one thing you can't get back--time. So, think a bit about what you are dissing before you make a fool of yourself.
Killestthemaster shouts: hey _person_ where do you think Unislash has been?
_person_ scripter of raas shouts: rotting his brain, trying to make you a tutorial on quests for the mapmaker.
Killestthemaster shouts: oh.

Just a comment on the picture going faster than the sound as well as the really bad picture in some spots:
It's not my fault :P. If anyone knows how to eliminate the problem that YouTube has created with my video(s), please tell me. Cheers :)

I think that it pretty much looks the same as runescape, except that it probably has more ppl and waayyy more stuff for free or sumthin like that.

Yeah man, MMORPGs take extreme skill... and extreme hours! Runescape had hundreds of bugs at debut.
