This is crazy. I am in Americorps and most of us are Med School bound. We are future doctors and public health officials. Do you really think we are an army? REALLY? A task much easier said then done. All in all the revolution will happen, but since it is a revolution it will eventually recycle back to a central empire.

Also a civil war doesn't necessary mean the central power will dissolve. All it means is the people or person in charge would be compromised or changed.

Anarchy only produces more anarchy, in order for peace to solidify is to create it with peace. Basically you reap what you sow. Violence as a means to peace creates more violence.

The central power does disolve because it's ability to govern and control is destroyed. The world then factionalizes back into nations that are able to get along with each other better.

No the ability of the central figure at the time would dissolve, but the power is still there to control the masses. People look to someone to lead them, because it lessens the weight on their shoulder. The nations will split like today, but will by under the control of a single control group through other means such as seen today with the third world under the control of the corporations who supply them with basic materials, or money.

That's another thing. Really powerful people often have difficulty getting along with each other. Their egos get really inflated. When the world nation splinters, it's more likely that you'd see powerful people trying to take each of the new splinter nations for themselves and not wanting to be subserviant to the former central power.

Just look at the Middle Ages. The King's energy was more often used keeping his lords in line than keeping his people in line.
