Yes very I have heard many stories like that. Like this guy came into my school, He was telling us a story. How he was supposed to go to his wifes moms for the weekend. But he got to sick so he stayed home and his daughter and newborn son and his wife went without him they got hit by a drunk driver. All 3 of them died he was left family less.
