  • Way better than NIN

  • Love it. Love all of the covers. But that's just me.

  • This is fucking god awful

  • this is absolute shit. fucking awful.

  • This is literally the hundredth Hurt cover.

  • @JesusSlice LOL. okay. Hundredth got me through the toughest times in my life. Kept me staying positive. Definitely suck cock, bro.

  • @VirtuesHardcore preach some where else

  • This cover is amazing, I actually love it more than the original. The little shits that hate it can go listen to the original.

  • I'm a NIN fan. I loved Johnny Cash's version, it was a perfect swansong for him. This cover has also a lot of emotion and energy, it is a very good cover, unlike the rest.

  • there is no emotion in this this song was about the drugs and the lies not ment to be played like this

  • @thebrightesteyes1 No emotion? really?

  • I see he had to sell both his crashes to afford that DHP kit.

  • This shit sucks. I'm not going to argue about it because nothing anyone can say could possibly convince me of anything except that they raped one of the best songs ever written into an ugly, trendy, castrated mess.

  • Nice. Good song.

  • This song is so awesome.. so weird too.. I mean.. Very slow and soulfull guitar.. but brutal but emotional screams..

    Awesome!

  • one of the greatest cover's ever made. Hundredth is so dedicated to the genre and is a powerhouse of a band. so much love put into this. its amazing. <3 HUNDREDTH

  • this gives me chills everytime. so passionate.

  • Solid cover

  • mediocre cover of a cover

  • @jokerxcore shut the fuck up, faggot.

  • @xTexasxHerox ya know or not? maybe if you come up with a more original insult?

  • @jokerxcore you should stop trying to insult a band that has more talent then you have in your entire existence.

  • @xTexasxHerox You have no clue if I have talent or not. this band is just another trendy shitty band cashing in on "hardcore" being in these days. maybe that's why you like them so much mister x Texas x Hero x. your argument is becoming increasingly weak by the way.

  • @jokerxcore they really aren't.. i would understand if you said that about another "core" band, but these guys really aren't.. just saying, no hostility.

  • @jokerxcore trendy shitty band? They're far from being shitty haha

  • Repeat plox.

  • This is why I love the genre. So much passion.

  • This is so fucking good, Love it.

I love Johnny Cash as well, no homo

  • what guitar does he use?

  • I love hundreth but this song is sacred. If it isn't johnny cash its bust. Not even NIN can do it like he did.

  • @stevengalleta NIN was the original

  • Finally, a good cover after Johnny Cash. Too much screaming for me though, but definitely not bad. This is what a cover should be like.

  • Johnny Cash choosing this song as a song to cover, says that he was aware of common heavier music (Nine Inch Nails.) Since he liked that song enough to cover it, why would anyone think he would not like this? Music is music.

  • Everyone is going on about how immature this is, but this is who Hundredth is. This is a cover and not a carbon copy. Hundredth has reached out to so many kids, it's unbelievable. Everyone has become a sheep and narrow minded because mainstream media will tell you that this isn't music or it's just 'yelling.' This is raw emotion. This is pain. This is what music should feel like. Sending chills down your spine with every note, making you feel what they feel.

  • Laughable

  • For fuck sake lets make this clear. Nine Inch Nails did the original song. Not Johnny cash.

  • @Omgimacow Nine inch wut?

  • @Omgimacow Yeah but, Nine Inch Nails sucks..

  • @7Gavin7Miles7 they don't suck, but this cover sure does.

  • This^^ is the shit.

  • @TheSunnyfront ..... Your a retard it not even a Johnny cash original it's a cover...... So nine inch nails would be proud!

  • HA as if this genre doesn't fit the lyrics and song perfectly. Love this..

  • Yo dawg, we heard you like covers! So we put a cover in yo cover, so you could cover while you cover!

  • the original version of the song is by NIN and its a pretty weird song (good but weird) and this is a really good interpretation I think. Raw emotion.

  • @DakotamusPrime uhhhh..... no.

  • @strengthwithinxx EAT MY PENIS

  • screaming vocal just doesn't work with this song.

  • are they endorsed by fender?

  • I'm so proud of you Michael Dean. Always looked up to you dude. Thanks for the clothes, by the way! They're sick!

  • Comment removed

  • gonna make this short and simple... no one compares to hundredth

  • i remember the first time i heard it i fell in love with the some then saw johny cash sing it i loved it people arguing who mad it better an now hundreth made it and i love it. people hating it because its different . go listen to the three versions its the same song song made differently... well what i see is one song 3 different meanings all 3 style ha different aspect of emotions.

  • Cover is rad. NIN does it flawless, Cash does an excellent cover in his own genre's perspective, Hundredth are badass and were right to cover this as they did. So much emotion is in this.

  • this is great !! =)

  • another amazing song from an amazing band.

  • When he said i will make you hurt he was obviously talking about the amount on butthurt on this comment section, you cunts need to calm down hahha.

  • fuckin awesome as fuck

  • I have listened to this it least 300 times tonight..

  • With the amount of emotion put into this song, Johnny Cash would have appreciated it alot, no matter whos genre of music it is.

  • @TheSunnyfront Agreed so hard.

  • @TheSunnyfront i feel johnny cash fans dont seem to feel that the yell is more powerful atleast to me but you have to really feel it.

  • @TheSunnyfront I bet Nine Inch Nails would be more proud.

  • @TheSunnyfront tru dat...but its originally by nine inch nails!

  • @TheSunnyfront so would have Nine Inch Nails where this song originated covered by Johnny Cash (also known as one of the greatest icons of this earth....ever, to live....ever...)

  • @TheSunnyfront It's Nine Inch Nail's song, but Cash's version in my opinion is better, and this is also an amazing cover.

  • @TheSunnyfront UHHHH IT'S ORIGINALLY DONE BY NINE INCH NAILS BROS. GET YOUR SHIT STRAIGHT. <3

  • @TheSunnyfront thats fucking right

  • Good cover, musically. Nice of the band to let that mentally handicapped guy "sing" the lyrics, but the screaming sounded awful compared to the good work everyone else was doing. And inappropriate. Also, the band wasn't hardcore enough to swear? Surprised they didn't credit this as a Cash cover. There are so many other NIN songs they could have covered where this style would have been appropriate. Mr Self Destruct and March of the Pigs comes to mind. Hurt is just not a song that works in punk.

  • @syntheticgod8 this is not a NIN cover. It's a Cash cover. And good job on trashing the vocalist. They're honoring a great musician by recreating a great song in their own style. Nice critique.

  • @Macackilwaine Thanks? 1/10 for your trolling attempt.

  • @syntheticgod8 that wasn't trolling.... LOL

  • @syntheticgod8 your an idiot they are a christian band and they are meleodic hardcore not punk so go hate elsewhere

  • @Buddyism1 First, it's "you're". Second, I'll admit that I did not know they were a Christian band, but that just makes the idea of a NIN cover even funnier, since Trent Reznor has never been big on God. That aside, I'm not hating, I'm giving my honest opinion. Did you miss the part where I said I liked it, except for the mutilated "singing"? Maybe I don't "get" this particular sub-sub-genre, but screaming the lyrics in a melodious song (well-performed, I'll add again) makes no sense.

  • @syntheticgod8

haha gtfo, you're talking a world of shit brah

  • @DizzyWalin91 Oh noes! Am I in trouble? What will the other bras do to me??

  • @syntheticgod8

They should rename this video Butt-hurt after guys like you

  • @syntheticgod8 Thats why its called melodic hardcore becuase its melodic music but still hardcore just like It Prevails and The Ghost Inside

  • @syntheticgod8 you sound like a complete fucking idiot. you should probably get your facts together and actually know your stuff before you try to state an opinion with as much negativity as yours. sure, you said the musical aspect of it was good, and then trashed a great vocalist, got the source of the song wrong, and then named the wrong genre all together. sooo why did you say anything again?

  • @DavidOverboard First, great vocalist? Nope. Screaming atonally the whole song isn't singing. Second, it's a Nine Inch Nails song, not a Cash song, even if they used his altered lyrics. Third, I read about it on Punknews.org that referred to them as a Hardcore band, so correct them if you're so keen. Fourth, as a NIN and a music fan, I know Trent Reznor can sing (and scream *when appropriate*) better than this guy. The complete idiots are the ones with one sentence crap reviews.

  • @syntheticgod8 Chill dude, I hate seeing comments like the one you posted even if that person is superfluous. Chill.

  • @syntheticgod8

its not meant to be singing you douche! they're a hardcore band. if you don't like screaming dont fucking listen. a lot pf people like this type of music and would disagree with you. if you wanna hear singing go listen to a song with fucking singing in it =/////

  • @syntheticgod8 You're an idiot. Why did you ever watch this video in the first place? And their vocalist is a really rad dude, you insulting him just makes you seem like that much more of an ignorant prick. Please GTFO.

  • @WeAreHumannequins I watched it because I heard about yet another cover of this song. How would I know if it was any good unless I listened to it? I'm sure he's a great guy in person, I just hope they release this song without his screaming over it. Screaming for the sake of screaming does not make one hardcore. You're just mad because you haven't realized you listen to terrible music yet.

  • @syntheticgod8 You find it terrible music.. It;s always hard to accept people have a different taste in music.... We ain't disrespecting your taste either, so just stop arguementing about what music is terrible and what isn't... We ain't hating on you, show some respect to us either then...

  • @syntheticgod8 Sooo you find the instrumentation in this song to be good, but just because there's screaming, you think the music is bad? Hahahahaha, you're probably one of the most ignorant people I've ever come across on YouTube.

  • @syntheticgod8 SHow me a hardcore band that doesn't scream. Please

  • @Tanbot0110 deez nuts

  • @Tanbot0110 Have Heart, Champion, Verse, Kids Like Us, The Mongoloids, Trapped Under Ice, etc.

  • Cash > this > NIN tbh

  • Not bad. First minute or so was boring as fuck, though.

  • The rest of the band looked board for that first minute lol.

  • Why is everyone hating this? This has a lot of emotion & dedication! Better than any other typical pop cover made by childish post-hardcore bands. Such a legit song wich was covered well. what kind of video did you expected? A party video? They are doing it naturally, they are showing themselves how they really are. this is hundredth, this is the music they make with all their effort, if you don't like this, don't talk more crap & get out of here. Can't stand people bashing on my favorite band.

  • @ReprogrammedToHate i wish i could favorite this comment!

  • I mean, this band IS shit but thinking NIN is good or even listenable is inexcusable.

  • Wait, there are people that actually think NIN is good?

    LOL

  • @Ragedhard haha xD *high five*

  • Put aside the fact that this is a cover, and the original and Johnny Cash' versions are very different, I think this song would get a lot less criticism if it was their original, imagine if they had written it. Try looking at it from that perspective.

  • I lost the times i have listen or playback this song in my car, computer, iphone, mp3.. this is probably the most meaningfull, melodic, ripoff hardcore song.

  • love everything about this!

  • Great song. If only the video did it ANY justice.

  • Good job boys keep it up, and fuck the hate.

  • I like this bands own music, but this is just a no.

  • This cover is horrible and immature.

  • @saaalut you dont have to like it, but how is it immature? They put so much emotion into this song it isnt even funny

  • perghhhhhhh.dasat!

  • Why do people argue about the dumbest things on these videos? This song is obviously amazing, if you dont like the video then leave and dont say anything...it doesnt make sense for someone to show hate towards a great band thats worked hard to get were they are and they deserve respect for it.

  • All of the people calling this Screamo, STOP. Also, all of this arguing over who's version is better was pointless before it started. This is a CHRISTIAN Hardcore band(Metalcore to some people), and one of the better ones out there. Cash, NIN, Hundredth, and any of the other people who covered this song all had there go with it. Leave it at that, and let ARTISTS have there fill. It's not like it's really hurting anyone.

  • gay...leave it to Cash, kids.

  • @Prezz562 He's not around anymore, man! :/

  • @Prezz562 actually NIN was the original artist of this song, Cash covered this.

  • 45 people are just hurting.

  • Man I love hardcore! NeetO

  • dislikin' like a boss niqqah

  • they need to sign with a bigger record label. now!

  • @philgecko HELL FUCKING NO. big labels are thr DEATH to good music.

  • I bet half of you don't realize that this song is by johnny cash.

  • @aTriumph4music1 originally its by Nine Inch Nails of which Johnny Cash then covered.

  • @aTriumph4music1 fail troll

  • If I hear one more person call this music "screamo", you're going to get curb stomped. Great cover, great band, perfect album.

  • 37 dislikes? what a bunch of bellends.

  • this version is way better then nin!

maybe not better then johnny cash though

  • The vocalist did a great job capturing the emotion of this song, which is of course what makes this song as great as it is. 5 stars. LOL

  • 32 people need to be made HURT

  • Definitely get mad props for this cover.

  • This version of this amazing song is absolutely terrible. Trent would literally throw up.

  • @angrystevefourtwenty All the more reason to listen to this version

  • This song is gold....

  • Didn't really do it for me

  • I wish Trent had the power to sue people for ruining his song.

  • @Hobohodou lol i didn't know they took the original song and magically made it horrible and impossible to listen to anymore.

  • @jmay14528 It's a sad world we live in.

  • @Hobohodou Yeah too bad Trent's version sucks donkey cock

  • @tomisblindsided Only a deaf-dumb mute would say that.

Oh wait. That's what all fans of this genre are! My bad. I shouldn't be making fun of people with disabilities. :)

  • @Hobohodou only someone with a severe mental disability would actually think anything reznor has produced is anything good

also, a passive aggressive smiley? are you 11 or

  • @tomisblindsided You're cute.

  • @Hobohodou I'm goddamn adorable

  • This is terrible. Screaming has its place, but it isnt always the most powerful choice. This is totally outta place. It reminds me of the KSE cover of Holy Diver. The guy did great singing the song until the middle part when he went all screamo. WHY?

  • @revsharp777 all screamo? sir go kill yourself.

  • @comm40k lol. enjoy your day, sir.

  • amazing perfect i can't think in other words to describe this song amazing

  • How could anyone not love this??? This song has so much power and emotion, and I feel the video captures that perfectly. The focussing in and out almost tells the story itself, of how much in life we lose focus. HUNDREDTH is genius, and they truly did this song justice. Made it their own. God bless HUNDREDTH.

  • the beginning is bland but i'm feeling the rest of the song... keep doing your thing Hundredth and keep representing good ole horry county and the grand strand.

  • @spitzndribble i always said crown of shit anyways.

  • Why would anyone neg this song? It's sad, this is pretty good.

  • @toyboxphilosopher their the same lyrics? The song was written by Trent reznor of his heroin addiction and then Johnny cash did his own spin and died like 6 months later.

Johnny cash had more of a powering effect though in my opinion. The video made it 10x more emotional.

  • @ENTERSHIKARIJUSTIN They're not quite the same lyrics. Cash's/Hundredth's version changes "crown of shit" to "crown of thorns."

  • @ENTERSHIKARIJUSTIN Johnny Cach changed one lyric "this crown of thorns" instead of "crown of s***" as NIN had it. and I agree about the Johnny Cash version: Hands Down the Best Version

  • So good, it has so much power and emotion behind it.

  • I appreciate their use of Johnny Cash's version of the lyrics rather than NIN's, however it would have created interesting discussion had they used the other version. Not my favorite song, not as good as Johnny Cash, but respectable. I really appreciate the use of one extended shot rather than the camera jumping around. No hardcore band should need to use camera tricks to appear more chaotic than they are.

  • @toyboxphilosopher i dont think this song is really chaotic to begin with?

  • @toyboxphilosopher they're a christian band, they're not gonna use that 1 pointless lyric. Cash made this song his own, and so has Hundredth.

Even though NIN were the creators, nobody listens to their version now. LOL

  • @TheBobaflex I understand your point of view, and you don't have to take my opinion into account, bu: I don't think that it is a "pointless lyric" I think they used it to describe something specific and it had meaning in it. J.Cash also had meaning in his version. I also don't believe it's fair to assume that a Christian band won't use a swear word if it more accurately and honestly portrays what they're trying to get across. Also, though I don't like it, there alot of ppl who like the NIN more

  • and i also hate how the cameraman thought it would be a good idea to go out of focus.

  • 1:49 they should've made the whole song like this. the first minute and 48 seconds are kinda boring.

  • This song is a flaming bag of dog poo, right down to getting all over your shoes when you stomp it out. Trent Reznor should drive over to their rehearsal space, with the ghost of Johnny Cash, to slowly torture these guys to death with Neil Diamond records. Can't you hipsters find something better to do than "making" music, like, say, juggling chainsaws or wrestling alligators?

  • next music video (if they do one) i wouldnt mind seeing carry on or weathered town..

the whole album has amazing songs that could potentially make awesome music videos ahah

  • I'm a fan of hundredth, but they should have sung the beginning, screaming just sounds off until it picks up.

  • one of the best cd's of 2011 HUNDREDTH rules

  • this is indie core :P ???

btw i love this song :)

  • @emilscreamsuhore are insane¿?! have you any idea of music¿?! this is hardcore grupie

  • Honestly, how can you make a WORSE cover than Leona Lewis? How is it possible?

  • Dear god this is awful

  • @sheepdean Why are you on it? Lol..

  • @watchmerise404 I can only assume masochism on my part

  • This song improved my night significantly (Y)

  • I liked the simplicity.

  • this shit is awesome!

  • This is golden. So much love for this cover.

  • I normally don't take much liking to bands that cover Mr.Cash but this is absolutely amazing! <3
