Louisville struggled early, but they have improved a lot. Cincinnati is good, UCONN is very solid, and even Pitt has improved a lot. If WVU takes it one game at a time, I think they will be fine. In fact, if WVU won all of those games handily, I think that would proove that they are as good as almost anyone. By the way, I miss 'Cuse not having a good team. WVU and 'Cuse used to have some wars!

Yah it's a shame about 'Cuse. As soon as Pasqualoni left, Rutgers and 'Cuse swapped roles. I like WVU's chances especially with the defense playing as well as they are. Last year we knew we'd score 30+ it was just whether or not we would stop it. Now it's all about execution. As long as WVU doesn't turn the ball over 6 times in a game, they will continue to roll.

That is so right about Rutgers and Syracuse swapping roles. Pasqualoni had a decent run all-together at Syracuse and did pretty well with recruiting. However, as a game coach, he was only fair at best. His teams had a few disappointing seasons and underachieved at times. Nevertheless, he did lead 'Cuse to several bowl games and he looks like a genius next to current coach Greg Robinson. Some 'Cuse people actually miss him. Without a doubt, 'Cuse will have a new coach next season.

In this day and age, such a big factor in recruiting is if the school is an easy sell for talent. And a fact that REALLY hurts Syracuse is that it is FAR from an easy sell for talent. Although Syracuse is a good college, they play indoors, the town isn't exciting, and the winters are cold and brutal. For Syracuse to be a consistent Top 25 team, they will need to get a coach who is very, very good and both COACHING and RECRUITING.

Now, back to West Virginia. Not only is their offense better than it has been in years, but so is their defense. I think that West Virginia's goal right now is to take each game at a time, win each game handily, and not be afraid to run up the score a bit. If they do that, I think they will be fine.
