That's hilarious! My dog hates the bath but loves the drying off process, she's part corgi. She does something similar where she wiggles her way into our laps where the towels are to dry off, she'll only stay there so long though before it's time to bolt and go "IM CLEEAAAAN!!!" like that handsome guy.

@angelbaby6643 lol. ya im with u on that. i have a corgi, a jack russell, and 2 yorkies...3 of them hate baths, we have to trick them to get them into it, but they all 4 go rolling around, running into walls, jumping on the couches, running from room to room. lol. we've always thought they hate the baths themselves but love the clean feeling afterwards and thats why they do it. not because they hate being wet. (ours will play in water outside all the time)

My corgi, Addy-Bell, does the same thing! And so did Peaches, our old chihuahua/troll mix.

My theory is that it isn't being wet that bothers them, but smelling clean. Dog's are very sensitive to smells, and always rolling in something nasty to make them selves smell nasty (which they like) - so they can't stand smelling clean, and must rub the smell off on everything less than clean so they can stand themselves!

this dog looks a lot like my dog, when i got my dog i was told mine was a apple dome chihuahua but now that ive seen your dog i truly think my dog has to be the same breed as yours as mine acts just like yours and looks a whole lot like yours. and mine was always much larger then my other chihuahuas where, mine is same coloring as yours and almost same size too and same build.

dogs are descendant to wolves, the reason they do this is the ability to hide their scent and tracks when hunting by rubbing themselves to nature like dirt and trees and manure, in this case, he is using the carpet and furniture as substitutes :P

a bath "removes" this wolf like scent is what the dog is thinking.
