What I love about Obama is that he makes sense. He is intelligent, knows compromise, and is DIRECT. With all the INDIRECTION in politics, it is so refreshing to hear him get real about the healthcare reform. It is certainly not perfect, but his efforts on both sides of the party line are commendable. And I was so happy to hear him get tough about "calling out" those that would misdirect with lies and fear. And his words on the character of America, and what it CAN BE...truly inspiring.

I saw a speech of his a couple of weeks ago on healthcare reform. He said that Medicare is "in the red", "it's gone off on it's own". Ten minutes later, in the same speech he says "the Gov. runs programs well, just look at Medicare". Direct? Commendable? ....right.
