  • Love how real she is, hope she never goes mainstream *cough* Nicki Minaj *cough*

  • @stephsym008 It's kinda hard to keep talent out of the mainstream spotlight

  • @Sk8t3B0ardT Yeah I just mean that she keeps doin the same style of music and doesn't conform to mainstream(pop) ;)

  • I want her to be the breakout act of 2012. Not Lana Del Rey. Another girl I would like to see breakout in 2012 is Dominique Young Unique.

  • Awesome music, but seems like a bit of an annoying stage-school kid.

  • i definitely agree. people from harlem are the coolest.

  • she's gonna be big, i can just tell......

  • i love azealia sooo much...but that jacket reminds me of an orangutan or something hahaha

  • Azealia is the future !

  • What's the very last song playing in the background? Starts at 05:00

  • @welovemayo It's her cover of Interpol's Slow Hands.

  • @TheWoozyFloozy Thanks!

  • She seems like she's an obnoxious arty theater-chick kind of girl who would be annoying to hang out with in person, but I hope she keeps putting out awesome music for years to come.

  • not hating either shes a hot rapper but her weave game is ICE COLD . :/

  • FIX THAT DAMN WEAVE GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no shout out for lazy jay

  • Wow, I thought she was British...anyway, she seems cool

  • fuck off, that jacket is fucking awesome

  • I really wouldn't mind seeing this girl make it but she's she thinks way to much of herself. It's ridiculous. Way to turn off the indie community. Jus Sayin.

  • @MusicViaTim who cares what the indie community thinks?

  • @MusicViaTim who gives a shit about the indie community??? bahahah Yes she has a ego but in the hiphop world you need it if you want to achieve some success. People will constantly be praising you one minute then trying to insult you the next. So if she has confidence she won't be affected by their criticism. It's good to listen to some criticism but not if people are just being malicious because they are jealous.

  • @Bonitaymorena

Makes sense; thanks for a legitimate opinion. The indie community did deliver her current fame. Confidence and inflated ego are two completely different things, mind you.

  • @MusicViaTim I know what you mean but she doesn't come off as super arogant to me. She's just hungry for success and so she not going to act all shy and as if it doesn't matter whether or not she blows up. I mean she finally found her passion, after assuming that she would go into theatre so now she doesn't want to waste time. It's a cultural thing to.. not every young black person gets the same opportunities that she had growing up so she should be happy that she had that chance.

  • @MusicViaTim it's also a harlem thing to represent where you're from. I'm sure she had pressure from her parents to be sure that this is what she wants to do in life and to be successful. I know most Carribbean parents they want you to go off to college/university or get a really good job after high school so she has to prove to them that she's going to be excellent. It's just a competitive attitude. She's not trying to be a snob or anything that's how a lot of young women talk. :)

  • @MusicViaTim Plus the Indie community spits out different hit bands all the time then they move on to the next thing. I don't think they rule the music industry though. The people outside that scene are just as successful. I'm glad she's so versatile and is doing different songs that are not like 212. She's better than Nicki in my opinion. I feel her and Iggy Azalea are going to help bring more variety to the female hiphop scene. ;)

  • @MusicViaTim

Well heres where you're wrong about her inflated ego, I think a certain level of narcissism plays an essential role in being a successful performer and especially if you want to stand out and make your presence known in rap music as well as the music industry in general. Plus, in the second part of this interview she talks about what a fragile state her career is in being brand new and having not fully developed a strong fan base. So her ego is not overly inflated just yet

  • Yeah what is it with that rug?

  • big bird got tangoed

  • I think she should prove to be quite interesting...
