If you like PvP, you're in for a treat. There is so much open PvP, newbie bashing.
End-game content wont bore you for months (and getting there is really hard in the first place). Starting a new class will be a whole new experience. Each class is completely different.

I will agree with Naruto, WoW has a five year lead on Aion which not only gives them a greater amount of money at their disposal, but it has helped them to create a large fan base. I like WoW, but this game has more than just wings for a reward at level 10, there is also a vast amount of customization that has been integrated into the game, as well as a new combat system that allows you to link your actions in a fight based on what is happening in real time.
Almost every game has to use things like "For the Light" or something like that 'cause it's a genre like Black and White /Good against Bad/ Light against Darkness
So the Darkness would say "For the Darkness" or something like that just because it's EVERYTIME the same just a little bit different. it's every time one against another
so just think about it. every game has stolen something from an other game.and you know why?Just because it's almost the same.
So lets just all agree that both games will probably be popular till their companies cancel the game. They will both be good and each will have their perks but WoW will dominate Aion. True that Aion doesn't ONLY have wings. However, just like Warhammer online it is not completely independent of WoW. WoW basically dominated the MMO world and used every single idea that came to their minds. Nearly all of their ideas have been used in other games in fact. For example this trailer, a common phrase in several games is "For the Light!" and the dude in here says it. Also the serpent guy kind of resembles a Naga in WoW. I think we can all agree on that as i move into the third box!!

see that's going to be the trouble...everyone wants to be the cool dark race and (1) if you are light race, there will be hardly anyone to group with, and (2) if you are the light race, every 5 seconds, someone's going to kill you.
Conversely, if you are dark race, you won't be able to find anyone to pvp with....so it probably will balance over time, but yeah...initially, it's going to be 90% asmo.
Actually... it will be impossible to have 90% asmo because the developers made it so that both sides will have approximately the same number of people, or else you can't create a character.

i play on retail chinese and let me tell you this have nothing to do with stupid grinding....this is where quests are not so lame(kill 100000 mobs...or get 10 drop of 1/21020030%chance....) no its fun to level and there are millions of endgame contents as well(and there are not yet any expansions wich are the ncsofts favorites(l2 it still alive thanks to that even tough l2 is way to grindy.....) yet realy good things are not so easy to get so basically this is balanced really well :D

If you've played,both, WoW and Aion you would see the difference. I honestly like Aion better mainly because im a Final Fantasy fan, and this game reminds of it. Also the graphics are much better than WoWs dhildish looking graphics (looks like it was from a coloring book)---this is just a horrible trailer. The combat system is practically the same as WoW (slightly different). Everyone has wings for aerial combat. Your can dye your armor any color. Oh, and character customization is WAY BETTER.

I heard that you pay in that sense, I am not sure, since I know it isn't monthly payment. For example, you can pay 15£ for like... 400 hours of gameplay in a month. If you don't finish them in a month, you can continue using them until you finish them, making you pay less and still enjoying the game just as much.
You do play to pay, but the ammount of time you buy wont be used when ur not playing.
So if you have 300+ hours and you only play 2 hours a day, your not going to loose the remaining 298 hours because ur not playing. Unlike WoW where u are loosing time from the minute you activate.
This isn't really a trailer. It's the intro movie that plays when you make an elyos character. If you want to see a trailer then search for the cinematic one, or the patch 1.5 one.

I love the black wings but their five problems are:
1. Their wings look like bin bags which have had a rake put down them
2. Their feet are ridiculous, the talons would never work because it's basically normal feet with cardboard triangles on the toes
3. The back hair.......oh the back hair
4. They're named after that green alien that followed Fred Flinstone around
5. And five, the cliche, all purpose "badass" red eyes

True that Aion doesn't ONLY have wings. However, just like Warhammer online it is not completely independent of WoW. WoW basically dominated the MMO world and used every single idea that came to their minds. Nearly all of their ideas have been used in other games in fact. For example this trailer, a common phrase in several games is "For the Light!" and the dude in here says it. Also the serpent guy kind of resembles a Naga in WoW. I think we can all agree on that as i move into the third box!!

I kind of hate to say this since I will piss off both the WoW fanboys and the Aion fanboys but I'll speak my opinion. Aion isn't a WoW killer. Let's get that through everyone's heads right now. It'll be a cool game and it'll probably rock but 11 million people aren't going to up and leave all at the same time. We're all to damn lazy. see that's going to be the trouble...everyone wants to be the cool dark race and (1) if you are light race, there will be hardly anyone to group with, and (2) if you are the light race, every 5 seconds, someone's going to kill you.
Conversely, if you are dark race, you won't be able to find anyone to pvp with....so it probably will balance over time, but yeah...initially, it's going to be 90% asmo.
I want to play both to see all the content.

Actually... it will be impossible to have 90% asmo because the developers made it so that both sides will have approximately the same number of people, or else you can't create a character.

not rly, perfect world iz nooooooooo where near this, lemme tell u, i used 2 be a faithful player of perfect world and im being rly honest with u, i stopped playing becuz eventually it gets to hard to level, quest run out, and u have to grind for lik 10 hourz just to get 1% of a lvl, i got tired of it.....hopefully this wont b the same, but it sure doesnt look the same.....this actually looks lively, ur not just running around hitting 30 monsters for a quest that take 10 mins each 2 kill -.-"

i play on retail chinese and let me tell you this have nothing to do with stupid grinding....this is where quests are not so lame(kill 100000 mobs...or get 10 drop of 1/21020030%chance....) no its fun to level and there are millions of endgame contents as well(and there are not yet any expansions wich are the ncsofts favorites(l2 it still alive thanks to that even tough l2 is way to grindy.....) yet realy good things are not so easy to get so basically this is balanced really well :D

If you've played,both, WoW and Aion you would see the difference. I honestly like Aion better mainly because im a Final Fantasy fan, and this game reminds of it. Also the graphics are much better than WoWs dhildish looking graphics (looks like it was from a coloring book)---this is just a horrible trailer. The combat system is practically the same as WoW (slightly different). Everyone has wings for aerial combat. Your can dye your armor any color. Oh, and character customization is WAY BETTER.

I heard that you pay in that sense, I am not sure, since I know it isn't monthly payment. For example, you can pay 15£ for like... 400 hours of gameplay in a month. If you don't finish them in a month, you can continue using them until you finish them, making you pay less and still enjoying the game just as much.

You do play to pay, but the ammount of time you buy wont be used when ur not playing.
So if you have 300+ hours and you only play 2 hours a day, your not going to loose the remaining 298 hours because ur not playing. Unlike WoW where u are loosing time from the minute you activate.

This isn't really a trailer. It's the intro movie that plays when you make an elyos character. If you want to see a trailer then search for the cinematic one, or the patch 1.5 one.
