  • So sorry for your loss. I lost my childhood friend several years back, chocolate heeler. She lived to be 9 years and was the best dog ever. I now have a 10 week old blue heeler that was born on 11/17/11. I started posting some of our videos if you'd like to follow our progress. RIP Zeus, RIP Naku...

  • I'm so sorry for your loss.. I know of I lost my Blue Heeler & my Aussie, I would cry my eyes out. Dogs are a blessing to us!

  • I am very sorry for your loss. I have a female blue heeler, named SKYE. The whole reason I saw your video is cause I'm going to upload videos of her. She's so smart & funny. Ffirst video is of her foot attacking her. She's 10 & on medication for k9 epilepsy. She's like our child, has to go BYE BYE in the truck with us everyday, I dread the day we lose her, Loves her RED ball!. please ignore the ignorant posts on here. You truly loved him for putting the effort into this video

  • Zeus was a gorgeous looking lad,x

  • I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Zeus is a handsome boy and I'm sure you gave him a wonderful life. He looked so happy. He's waiting at The Bridge.

    Something in my eye...

  • What a great looking face! You obviously made his short time on Earth the happiest ever!

  • So sorry to hear about Zeus. I now have a 12 week old blue heeler cross named Lucy! She remind's me so much of my of my old one! So much!

  • I am so sorry about the loss of your furry baby. My heart goes out to you!

  • Yes, a blue heeler *is* an Australian Cattle Dog, but all Australian Cattle Dogs are not heelers, though they share many traits.

In any case, they are all beautiful, SMART dogs.

  • @vcudnik your an idiot

  • V E R Y CUTE I'LL SEND YOU A VIDEO OF RIPLEY,OUR 4 MONTH OLD KELPIE/BORDER COLLIE CROSS HOPE YOU ENJOY...

  • Seu cão é muito lindo ...parece um pouco com a minha...bjO

  • PS. That looks pretty much like a purebred to me.

  • He's adorable, purebred or not, he's precious.

  • He's adorable, purebred or not, he's precious.

  • I had a blue heeler cross dog and she had no tail. She had 10 puppies and none of them had tails either. She was the best dog I ever had!! RIP Jabs....

  • @denncoa They are good dogs huh! Zeus died almost a week ago on 11/18/11....we miss him a lot. The house just isn't the same anymore.

  • Very likely that your pooch, while still an Australian Cattle Dog, is actually not a blue heeler, looks more like a Tri-Merle Koolie. (the lack of tail is the clue). Cute dog! My first dog was a red heeler mix, my current dog is a Koolie. I didn't know there was such a thing until someone saw a picture of her and mentioned it. The vet never said a thing when I told them it was blue heeler. Go figure.

Either way, they are SMART dogs.

  • @vcudnik Actually the vet said he is a blue heeler and his tail was docked by someone she could tell that and not born that way. We got him from the shelter so we never saw his parents. But the vet who has been in the practice for 25+ years said if he's mixed with something it's a VERY small amount!!

  • @vcudnik This is undoubtedly a purebred blue heeler.

  • @vcudnik

lol A Blue Heeler is a Australian Cattle dog

  • @vcudnik He was a good dog....sadly he just died recently...11/18/11 I miss him.

  • hes absolutely adorable!!!!! youre family looks so beautiful and happy

  • Was he born with no tail do you know ? because if he was he is a pure bred stumpy tail cattle dog

cute puppy by the way :)

  • He looks so much like a pure bred.. anyways love him

  • i don't know you or your dog but that video literally made me cry. it was so sweet. we love our heelers too. like our kids.

  • soo cute

  • AAh! i had a blue Heeler Female mixed with a lab, but she had more Blue Heeler than anyhting!!!!! Her name was Athena! I dont know if you know the Myth but supposibly Zeus was Athena Father, and Hercules was her brother (its a really confusing story) Anyways, thought id give you a little story. Next time i get a Blue Heeler, ima name him Zeus!

  • awww :) he looks just like my Puppy Angus, but Angus is really naughty :p

  • aw, brought back such wonderful memories of my Jewels. My blue heeler mix we fostered during the flood of 93. after a year we were able to adopt her and had another 12 wonderful years with her. She passed away about 4 years ago, but not a day passes that i don't think of her, see a picture of her or mention something she did! Your Zeus reminds me of her so much! How lucky your family is to have such a wonderful 4 leg member :)

  • kennedy i want to say your video is awesome on march 3 i lost my blue healer he was the best dog ever some day i will get me another blue healer he go hit by a car it put a smile on my face too see this

  • this is such a great video. my family and i have a australian shep blue heeler mix and its funny to see our dog have all the same mannorisms as your dog, they look very similar. great dogs, i cant wait to have my own when im older.

  • the best dogs in world !!

  • I don't understand why people put so much energy in to pure breeding of animals. There probably aren't any animals totally pure bred anymore..or humans for that matter. How do you know if your dog is pure bred back to 19 whatever?? For all you know..someone may have cross bred your dog with a tuna fish & pomeranian. Were you there to see every single dog bred?? There's no way you could've been. Get over yourself & get a life.

  • Aww...He reminds me of my friends dog Zeus at the ranch, who got either stolen, ran away, or lost...): Poor Zeus...

  • omg this was such a wonderful video! your little girl with your dog is priceless. x) song was totally perfect aswell. thank you for saveing a life from the shelter! im in the process of convinceing my husband to let us have just one more dog(we have 2yr old BC and a 11mth old Aussie). a BC i found in a shelter a few hours from us, hes about 2 years old and looks like such a doll.

Bless your heart, and many pawsome days head of you wit your wonderful fur baby. =))

  • Awsome Dogs! I have a dog named Valentine my baby girl and we are gonna get a red heeler for her this summer! :D

  • Aww! He looks so happy when the little girl is scratching his belly haha xD Cute doggy!

  • Why did you put ... Did something happen!?

  • @pinkgirl12345678901 I just put it lol no reason, no nothing happened he is sitting right here by my feet taking a nap!

  • its crossed!

  • @luisgus what do you mean its crossed?

  • @kennedy102906 it was a question.... its crossed? the breed? is pure?

  • Best damn dogs on earth, I've got one and it's the smartest dog I've ever owned. When he's lonely he jumps the back fence, opens my window and crawls in bed with me.

  • Aren't they just awesome? I've got two of them, and man they are just the most loyal dogs I've ever had. Great family dogs and most of the time too smart for their own good ;). I hope for long years spent with yours.

  • its tail might not be cropped there are two breeds of australian cattle dogs 1 australian cattle dog 2 short tailed australian cattle dogs i found this out when we got our one lol

  • Great video!!!!

  • I have a blueheeler. Her name is Zeva. Blueheelers are just so loyal and loveable.

There great for people and for people that have cattle. i dont know what i would do without my blueheeler.

  • He is a beautiful dog!! Thank you for sharing!!!!

  • Great video, we have a female Blue Heeler, named Dixie, she is 4 yrs old and she has been with us since a puppy

  • Great video, we have a female Blue Heeler, named Dixie, she is 4 yrs old and she has been with since a puppy

  • Well I'm Aussie and to me he looks like he's Aussie. Be proud of your lil man. You have adopted one of the most loyal affectionate smart dogs in the world. Just in case you haven't been told what breed of cattle dog he has in him it's Smithfield Heeler, more commonly known as Stumpy Tailed Heeler. Enjoy him :)

  • That's such a gorgeus dog! I also have a blue heeler, his name is Clyde and he is 5-years-old and we addopted him from ASPCA when he was 3 months old :) I couldn't believe how your dog's attitude is similar to mine! o/ The way he stops and turns his had, the way he gest up, hahha, that's awesome!

  • i have a blue heeler at least 7 weeks so adorable and playful almost looks like this 1 i love blue heelers there so loyal to there owner but we found mine in a garbage can...luckily its mine now :) she is so happy now and not scared:) :)

  • that's so awsome i got a red heeler with a natural bob named zeus he is a year old by july 14 2010 that's the same size as mine two i think it's weird how every other video has these dogs so much bigger than mine.

  • That video is just adorable. Just typical of a bluey that loves life. They are so loyal.

The music was so suited to the video too.

I own a blue heeler cross border collie and love him too death.

    loved watching your video.

  • Thanks! Yes these dogs are very loyal....I bet he'd do just about anything for my husband, myself and our kids.......he's a good dog.

  • Just remember these dogs were bred with the tenacity to deal with belligerent cattle and LIKE IT :) They are supposed to be opinionated and intense. And of course fearless (and seemingly impervious to pain as well). Enjoy Zeus and try to understand his drive to be a real working cattle dog. It's hard to make one into a couch potato. And as for papers and pedigree, there is an old saying in the horse world: "you can't ride papers". I'd have no issues with someone calling Zeus a purebred.

  • Kennedy102906 has nothing to do with his pedigree. She saved his life by adopting him from the shelter. Kennedy 102906 loves the pup, who loves her. Thank you for giving him the second leash of life!

  • Thanks paige...we didn't look for a heeler when we went to the shelter to get a dog...we just wanted a puppy to become part of our family. Zeus was there and he chose us I think, he's just over a year now and has thankfully grown out of his puppy crazyness and doesn't bite/chew anymore thank GOD lol He's a good protector and overall a good dog. Thanks for the nice comment!

  • oops i spelt heeler wrong. :(

  • Yes I just bought myself a blue heller pup last spring, she is the darlingest dog. The breed is most certainly a great breed. But I hate it when people are so judgemental about the breed. I had one person ask me what kind of dog she was, whule they where playing with her, and when i told them she was a blue heeler, they made a face and said that blue heelers are vicious, it made me soooo mad!

  • Fabulous dog you have there... and again a poo poo to the pure breed element of supposed dog lovers...if you have got a good dog thats exactly what you have... he looks adorable with your little girl too... funny how you can see your own dog in the antics of the same breed, so like watching my girl. Great video, thanks! H

  • These dogs are wonderful! Ziptie is either ON or OFF recharging!

  • LOVE the video! DONT love the rude and uncalled for comment by Tpap, totally uncalled for! I think you handeled just the way I would have! Dont mess with a mama bears cubs!!! And any good man wants his women to protect her family! We have a Blue Heeler mix her mom is a heeler and dad is a mountain fiest and our VET calls her a Blue Heeler,he says its her dominet breed! Tpap you should be banned from here!

  • Ok Tpap...heres the deal...she wasnt saying ANYTHING about her dog being PURE bread and the reason she responded that way is because YOU MESS WITH A WOMENS FAMILY YOU BETTER BE READY TO DEAL WITH A MEGA BITCH!!! You WERE offensive when you so bluntly made it a point that her dog wasnt pure bread! So what he is a family member and that is all that matters here not like this was a stinkin dog show!

  • when you look at this dog what charastics are a give away that these dogs are not pure bred.I am curious we have a blue heeler but I never really followed back through his ancestry to see if he is pure bred,he has the white patch on his head that someone told me is called a bentley mark that was due the fact that someone named bentley bred these dogs with dalmations at one time,is this true or false information? He is a very smart dog he loves to run after cattle and hates anything motorized

  • I would if i could but hubby won't let me!! LOL j/k he's a crazy and annoying dog at times but other times he's as sweet as can be...and now he's FINALLY housebroken and doesn't chew on things as much anymore. He wouldn't survive with another family, he protects my kids as though they were his...he's very loyal to his family, so I guess he's a keeper!

  • Anyone want him? They can have him, FREE!!!!!

  • Sorry to say but your dog is not pure breed. I know you probably love him but pure is pure and what has happened in the USA is the pure breed dogs get mixed and only Aussie can really tell when they are are not pure then people continue to breed with the dogs that have a slight cross in them. My dog has a pure breed blood line dating back to 1916. His dad was the Australian champ 05 and 07

  • Sorry to say that I never once said he was a pure breed dog did I....nope. And whoop-dee-doo that your dog is a pure bred dog...who gives a crap? I know I sure don't....don't put on airs about shit that no one cares about. So you can take your blood lines (that are probably mixed with cat) and shove them where the sun don't shine. Oh and have a nice day.

  • Zaus looked like he was about younger than 3 months there! What a cutie, and it is so nice that a kid and a dog have wonderful relationship! Enjoy him! You have to attend ACDCA national specialty and enter him in "Best Ears"! :)

  • Thanks for the comment!! I've never heard of the ACDCA before....we don't know if he's a pure breed or not...the shelter said he was a mix...but the vet said she'd bet her life he's a full Australian Shepard/Blue Heeler...except for his docked tail....He does have some great ears though huh!? :)
