I just recently went to Savannah to go on one of the ghost tours down there. Almost every building down there is 200 years old and haunted. Lucas theater is haunted. If you ever hear the bell ringing down in Savannah, the bell is haunted. The Moonriver House in Savannah is haunted. Even some of the allys in Savannah are haunted. I was down in the cellar in the Moonriver House and there was a sudden chill that went up my spine. Savannah holds a lot of history.

In a way, I feel kind of bad for Rene. That is, only if he wasn't the one that killed those children and ate dead bodies. It sounds like he had gigantism and human werewolf syndrome, and growing up in a time where superstitions were still strong, had to have made life hard. And if that's the case, he was probably bullied to the point where he started chasing people off. I don't know his full story, but judging from what I heard, I think that's a possibility.

Its very possible,to see things of unexplained nature,I visited Savannah a week ago,and while i was there,i visited ( The Moon River Brewery ) and while i was inside upon the second floor,I experienced the footage of floating light orbs upon the second floor of the brewery.I was able to capture good analog footage of the orbs.I wasn't affraid.They are not there to hurt anyone,they just want you to know theye are there.I also visited the colonial park cemetary and felt them all over the place.

So, it's no secret that she had no part to do with the story of Rene Rondolier. This show is hideously inaccurate! They are showing footage of both Colonial Park Cemetery, and Bonaventure Cemetery, on the other side of town. Colonial Park cemetery does not have figural, statue headstones. Those are in Bonaventure Cemetery. Little Gracie is in Bonaventure, not Colonial Park, and she died in 1889 of pneumonia. She was not murdered, and certainly not by Rene, who, had he not been deceased already at the time of her death, would have been 112 years old at the time of her death.

*** And I just noticed another inaccuracy from that snippet from his website -- Gracie died two days after Easter, not before. It looks like this person who gives tours of the cemetery needs to check and recheck his facts with the Savannah Historical Society. It's located at 501 Whitaker Street, if he happens to read this.

***Edit from 1st post -- who died** [not we died]. Apologies. There is a stone that tells Gracie's entire story that is at the left front corner of her grave plot. So, it's no secret that she had no part to do with the story of Rene Rondolier. The actual TRUE stories are so interesting, it's sad they had to bit and piece together a little truth and a little lies to try and make a story. The true story of both Rene, and Gracie would have been interesting enough, and TRUE.

From the Bonaventure Cemetery Tours website [Google it] -- Little Gracie 1882 - 1889 :While visiting Savannah, know that a little girl sits quietly posed in Bonaventure Cemetery awaiting your arrival. Gracie Watson died just 2 days before Easter Sunday of pneumonia. [Her birth year is inaccurately listed as it is 1883]. So, the same person that wrote that snippet is giving a completely different story on TV. Spin or no spin, it's disrespectful to the true story of Gracie and her family.

B. Gracie Watson's statue was erected in 1890 after her father commissioned sculptor John Walz to carve it. That makes this statue currently 124 years old, NOT 200 years old. I'm aware the people "spin a tale" to make things interesting, but if you know it's a lie, you compromise your ethics by doing this. Shannon Scott featured in this piece owns/operates Bonaveture Tours. The following snippet is from his website.

As a photographer who shoots Bonaventure, Greenwich, Laurel Grove, and Colonial park often, I've done much research all of the cemeteries named above. So, let me state the facts. A. Rene Asche Rondolier had nothing to do with the death of the child portrayed in that statue. She is Gracie Watson, of Bonaventure, we died two days after Easter in 1889, of pneumonia. Rene was born in 1777, so he would have been 112 years old when Gracie died in 1889.

Lies, lies, lies! All misleading crap! First off, the "little girl" is named GRACIE WATSON and was died of pnuemonia, and there are absolutely no rumors of Rene ever harming her becuase she lived over 100 years after Rene lived, which makes it nonsense. Also, Gracie is buried in BONAVENTURE cemetery, NOT colonial park! AND her statue is surrounded by a FENCE.
Hope this cleared things up a little for anyone foolish enough to actually believe this horrid attempt of a creepy film. Although, I will

i have ben to savannah and when you go to the cemtery and you see the statue of that little girl Gracie it says on the toomb that she was killed by pneumonia not by a hairy guys death....

This show is hideously inaccurate! They are showing footage of both Colonial Park Cemetery, and Bonaventure Cemetery, on the other side of town. Colonial Park cemetery does not have figural, statue headstones. Those are in Bonaventure Cemetery. Little Gracie is in Bonaventure, not Colonial Park, and she died in 1889 of pneumonia. She was not murdered, and certainly not by Rene, who, had he not been deceased already at the time of her death, would have been 112 years old at the time of her death.

This video is grossly inaccurate!! it's a shame that a world renowed show like "Scariest Places on Earth" can't make the seperation of some of Savannh's most historical cemeteries. Colonial Park doesn't have the staute of Gracie Watson (the staue they said the ghost of Rene allegdly murdered) Bonaventure is were the likeness statue were Gracie Watson is buried.

I actually took a Picture of Gracie Watson, and her grave is indeed Haunted my wife,son,and myself...went there and I asked my 6 yr old son to say hi to Gracie..
and when my wife took the picture..a full body spirit of a girl stood next to the statue..
looking sad like...like she was in sorrow...
Rene didnt kill her, Rene died years before Gracie was even born..oh by the way Gracie was 6 herself when she died..Its odd how a spirit child will respond to a living child..very intersting

I don't know the story of rene but I do know that the little girl statue is that of gracie watson - which is in bonaventure cemetery and not in colonial park cemetery. the little girl wasn't murdered at all but had a virus. this story was filmed in two differant cemeteries.

This video is kind of a fail.So they confused two different savannah ghost stories. The Gracie Watson statue isn't even in Colonial Cementery, shes at Bonadventure. Her statue cries or something, but she died of an illness, not murder.
This video totally freaked me out the first time I saw it, but the scariest thing about Savannah isnt it's ghosts, its the angry homeless men.

I live down in Savannah and i've taken the tour and all been in the graveyard you name it. Lot of history down south. i even got pics of wat looks like a ghost and some orbs. but there was this one place in purticular. me and my school group were on the tour one of my friends yelled OH MY GOD LOOK AT THE TOP LEFT WINDOW and sure enough a figure of a man looked down apon our bus i got pics of that but i looked at my camera and when i looked back at the figure it had gone.
