As I'm sure, it's a fair assumption given how North Americans can be.

VIII, IX, X, XII and XIII are not mainstream, or at least not to the degree VII is. But to even qualify 8 as a decent game is beyond my comprehension considering how terrible and used the story was. Not to mention the transition in the game engine which resulted in a less than satisfactory attempt at quality graphics which, even at the time, were terrible.

You are correct, technically Nobuo Uematsu is a freelance composer, but he does come back to work on some songs here and there for Final Fantasy, and in the case for Final Fantasy XIV, Uematsu-san is composing the entire soundtrack. SO pumped!!

I'm pretty sure that I read/saw a trailer from Square Enix about FFXIV coming out this year and it would be for the PC like XI. I know Agito and Versus are coming out, but I don't know when they're coming out this year. I honestly think that maybe, if any of them do, it will be Versus. I think Agito will be out next year or so, but you never know. KHIII won't even be out for like a year or two and they've been working on that for...who knows how long! xD
