Yes, that surge seems like the absolute top of the range. Even thought they both have too many screwdrivers because you already have the changeable bits, so why do you need the fixed screwdrivers?
thanks for the review, you just need to tend to those animals in the background. maybe they're hungry?
You put-up some nice, informative videos. Thank you for your time & efforts! Unfortunately (for me I guess), I have a hard time listening to them - as I hear in the background, what I assume to be caged birds screaming for attention. From my own experience there's a problem here that you're either not dealing with or dealing with improperly. Some folks just shouldn't own birds... but then again, I could be entirely wrong. I hope I am. Other than that; Thanks for the very well presented info.
Nice job. Great comparison. Love the tropical jungle sounds that's how we know you are the real deal. Btw nylon is pronounced nye-lawn not neon. Fantastic work helped me decide which to buy.
can you do a video using the diamond file to sharpen your knife point? i have both the Wave and the Surge, i know its not the best way to sharpen them but im curious on how well it might work! Great videos and keep them coming!!!!!
I own the Charge TTI, had it for 2yrs now and im wishing I got the surge! The removable sharpener, heavy duty scissors and larger pliers + straight blade make it superior! If anyone wants to swap with me email me on: inhisservice777@gmail.com ;D
@ColinOutdoors...WOW!!! I'm honored that you like my video. I love to watch your video. Thanks for the comment. Yes, the mossy oak surge camo is very beautifully design. I'm glad I was able to get one since they are only made in limited number and only available over seas in Great Britain.
@n9las...You are right. Each Leatherman multitool has their unqiue advantages, and some more than others for specific needs. I all boils down to personal preference. For me the Surge is not that heavy as a EDC because I'm a big guy, and I like the feel of my tool to be strong and durable. The Charge is a good EDC for average people. Thanks for responding.

Excellent review. I think I'm going to have to get a Surge to upgrade my Wave. I love the Wave, but the bigger scissors and the awl are really nice.

s30v isn't strong, it's hard which makes it brittle but, also makes it have better edge retention. it is also more difficult to resharpen.

Excellente vidéo, très bonne présentation ! L'idée de couper du papier avec un coupe-câble pour en tester la qualité est intéressante. Merci.

Each tool has it's advantages however, the surge is just to big and heavy for EDC.
