  • ja juz tylko czekam na ich koncert w polsce ;D

  • Just to mention it:

Wilhelm II. didn't want the war that early (He knew a clash with Britain would come sooner or later). He said he will stand side by side with Austria, when they asked about help, not believing they would invade Serbia and if the murder of the austrian heir is worth a world war is not for me to decide.

The murder of Ferdinand sure was the beginning of WW1, but if it wouldn't have happened another WW would have been started later on anyway.

  • This song an a whole is a masterpiece, although the lyric is the most depresive one i have ever heard... What's the price of a mile? There's no price for a mile

  • @TheRevisor yes there is a price, millions died in pointless assaults so thew price was millions of souls. think of all the hate here. we must strive to prevent this pointless slaughter in the future.

  • If you have a drinking game were you take a shot every time he says "men"

you will end up pretty shitfaced.

  • I think the ww1's history is more awsome then the ww2...

  • Ace of spades soundtrack.

  • wow nice comments

  • Comment removed

  • Old Ace of spade in a nutshell

  • I like the guy with the shovel in this video. He kinda owns.

  • Know that many men will suffer...

Know that many men will die...

Half a Million Lives at Stake...

    At the Fields of Passchendaele...

    Great Song

  • My name is Bucky hahahaha

  • John Boy Walton was a Nazi, how about that!

  • our european civil war started in 1914 ended in 1945 :( U.S came and take spoils of war together with CCCP

  • @MrAmerilias Hell, by that logic, your "civil war" started centuries earlier. WW1 was simply a continuation of actions taken in 1870, which in turn was made possible by the events of 1812 which in turn was a continuation of the french revolutionary wars which in turn happened right on the heels of the american revolutionary war which in turn immediately followed the seven years war which in turn...

  • @MrAmerilias

What the hell? If im correct, CCCP is russia?

And they were obliged to fight in WW1 by being allied.

And the germans atlantic warfare campaign ultimately brought the US into WW1.

And tell me, what were these "spoils of war" the U.S. took?

    Land? Nope.

Hell, the Entente powers like France and England didnt give two fucks about what the U.S. had to say when it came to the treaty plans. They completely fucked germany over by blaming them for a war they didnt start. no more room.

  • @MrAmerilias

    [continued]

Britian/France made germany take the War guilt claus, making them take 100% blame for the war when all they did were back up their ally Austria-Hungary.

They took all there colonies in Africa.

Leaving only a little bit for their other allies(Japan/Russia)

The only ones who got any real "spoils of war" were the cry babies leading France and Great britian.

  • Great song!!! Fuck war and war mongering politicians and Generals

  • Thumbs up if u love: Sabaton, ur country, and ur veterans

  • serbia started a ww1

  • @joijamesful a? More like the. Because things like WWI don't happen everyday or more than once

  • @noobstuntguy well world war 1 did happen again was a war that started in 1939 and ended in 1945 maybe youv hurd of it

  • @bradvssasha Sorry about the "more than once". Things LIKE WW1 actually DID happen a couple times, that would mean WWII and like Vietnam (the biggest ones). But "the" WWI will never happen again, that was my point. If there would be another war it would be WWIII as you possibly understand. And I replied to Mr. joijamesful just because he said "a" WW1 in his comment.

  • @noobstuntguy False. More people died in Korea(~4.7 million) than in Vietnam(~4.5 million). Secondly, those wars were entirely local and comparable in neither scale nor scope to the world wars, WW1(~15 million) WW2(~60 million).

  • @BlackMasterRoshi probably.. But where did you get that "only" 15 million died during WWI? Wasn't it more like 30+ million? Also In my previous comment I was talking about wars other than WWI, so I could have just said that WWI and WWII were the deadliest wars ever fought but I chose to use other wars as example. But actually I had always thought Vietnam was as bloody as the other wars but after checking out some articles I am very surprised of the little amount of total casualties to be honest.

  • @noobstuntguy vietnam only comes to mind because its one of the few wars they teach about in school or make movies about. at least in america.

as for WW1, there were 35 million casualties but that includes wounded. 15 million actual deaths.

  • @BlackMasterRoshi Yeah. I was going to put "(including wounded)" in my previous comment, but the damn YouTube 500 character limit fucked the shit up once again -__-

  • @noobstuntguy So basically what you initially meant to say was: " But where did you get that "only" 15 million died during WWI? Wasnt it more like 30+ million, Including wounded?"

Well, to answer your question, no, i dont mean 30+ million died, including wounded.

  • @BlackMasterRoshi whatever.

  • @noobstuntguy 'But where did you get that "only" 15 million died during WWI? Wasn't it more like 30+ million?'

    no. it wasnt. -_-

  • @Subjugator1866 yes. it was. -_-

  • @noobstuntguy

The total number of deaths includes about 10 million military personnel and about 7 million civilians. The Entente Powers (also known as the Allies) lost about 6.0 million soldiers while the Central Powers lost about 4.0 million.

    No, it wasnt.

You need to learn what a casualty is, it doesnt mean you died.

    35 casualties(!->WOUNDED<-! AND KILLED)

  • @vanillastien yes, wounded and killed, +35 million casualties. You know, there was something called the "Spanish flu" at the time which caused enormous civilian and military casualties, affecting the fate of the war (just because it killed so extremely many). IF there would not have been a such thing as the "Spanish flu" (the swine flu as we know it) the war could have kept going for, who knows, maybe 2-3 years longer.

  • @noobstuntguy oh well why dont we just add in all of the naturally occurring deaths of old people and miscarriages of pregnancies in the stats too if we are including disease in the technical numbers of 'who died during ww1' ¬__¬

  • @Subjugator1866 It totally depends on what source you read from. Some people possibly also count the deaths caused by the diseases and some do not. And it even states

"The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I were over 35 million. There were over 15 million deaths and 20 million wounded ranking it among the deadliest conflicts in human history." in Wikipedia. Although that might be wrong or incorrect. AND if you count the victims of Spanish flu too you get ~50 M dead.

  • @joijamesful I admit we have started ... Better death and war, then life without freedom..

  • @joijamesful Germany started fucking ww1. Like usually they do. It was war for power and territories and Austria-Hungary only needed a reason to start it all. You can not seriously believe that small country like Serbia started the whole thing.

You can not be that stupid ...

  • @OrionSupreme its difficult to say who started ww1 because the serbians murdered the austrian prince, then austria declared war to serbia, russia declared war to austria, germany declared war to russia and serbia, and so on...

  • @OrionSupreme /wiki/Causes_of_World_War_I "the immediate origins of the war lay in the decisions taken by statesmen and generals during the July Crisis of 1914, casus belli for which was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife by Gavrilo Princip, an irredentist Serb."

  • @OrionSupreme germany was once a proud country but for what ever reason they must get a jolly out of getting bent over by other countrys damn u germany u make me sad to call my self german

  • @joijamesful

Yeeeah and not Germany, how they say all!

  • @joijamesful Not really. Look into the history better and you'll see many factor lead to it, most notably German aggression.

  • @joijamesful Serbian nationalist started it, and all the other nationalist in Europe continued it.

  • @joijamesful So that's why everyone hates Serbia?

  • @catsareweapons not everybody hates serbia, only uneducated people like this guy who said serbia started it, austrohungarian empire started a war on serbia with germany behind it's back, after that great britain, france, russia and many other countries declared war on austrohungary and germany... serbia tried to avoid war but austrohungary had aggressive diplomacy towards serbia and declared war on it on 28.7.1914

  • @joijamesful you are an uneducated idiot or a child that has no knowledge at all about history

  • @YtAccNum123734732563

Is that why radical Serbian national terrorist groups threw a grenade into the Duke's car and then fired pistol shots? Killing not only Arch-Duke Ferdinand, but his family as well? You're right. Austria was the agressor.

  • @Saludism A terrorist group killed duke and his wife not his whole family.. and the terrorist group was from organisation young bosnia, they were serbs by nationality but they were citizens of austrohungary, austrohungary gave an ultimatum to serbia which was basicly to invade them... you should learn your history and eat your vegetables before you spread shit

  • @joijamesful Yes, but I do not think it was their intention.

  • @joijamesful Umm, close, but no. A serbian group DID assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand, but Serbia itself did not declare war. It was Austria-Hungary that declared war on Serbia and hence started a chain reaction. In fact, the assassination was only an excuse for Austria-Hungary to declare war. They were looking for an excuse and so they even liked that the Archduke was assassinated cause it got them THEIR war. Research.

  • @Kairyudragon omfg guys read the history books

Gavrilo Princip killed Franz Ferdinand but he was a Bosnian citisen and Bosnia was part of Austria-Hungary back then so Serbia had nothing to with it but they blamed Serbia because they wanted war because of territory and to whipe them out!

  • @OverlordAlex997 Princip was a bosnian serb and lived since 1912 in belgarde, serbia. he was trained and euipped by the serbian group "black hand" and serbian border guards led him over the border to commit the murder.

  • @derpatrizier maybe but he wasnt sent by the Serbian goverment because they werent complete idiots, they knew they cant win the war and their army was minimal because of the balcan wars

dude its like you said ,,Im from China and i live in Spain,, and if you kill the spain king or what China would be blaimed

    its plain stupid!

  • @OverlordAlex997 Where the hell do you think I got the info I just put down? Out of my ass? I researched it and to this day they say a Serbian Nationalist secret group did it. I never said Serbia itself did it. Only a group of them. I had to go through WW1 history many times over the years and so I have read the history books. Look it up yourself. Almost all sources and history books will say a group of Serbian Nationalists.

  • @Kairyudragon ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?!?

HOW COULD IT FREAKIN BE A SERBIAN NATIONAL GROUP WHEN IT WAS CALLED YOUNG BOSNIA?!?

  • @OverlordAlex997 Don't know why you are getting angry at me. I am telling you what I have read and researched. I am not the historian here. I only claimed to know about it because of what I have read. Also, groups can call themselves whatever they wish, that doesn't mean that they are exactly what the group name suggests. You should calm down. It happened in the past. I was only commenting on what I knew of it by what I have read on it.

  • @Kairyudragon dude im getting angry because people like you give a wrong image about the Serbs. You talk about something that happened in the past.Ok.But why blame Serbia for the ww 1?I think that that comment should be removed!

  • @OverlordAlex997 Umm, Read my comment. I said Serbia didn't declare war. It was Austria-Hungary. Therefore it was NOT Serbia who started it but Austria-Hungary. That was my entire comment to the guy who said it was Serbia. I was telling him that it wasn't Serbia. That it was Austria-Hungary who used the excuse of the Assassination to start the war, and in turn started the chain reaction of the defense treaties. Read my comment more carefully before yelling at me please. Thanks.

  • @joijamesful shame on you! how u can tell that even if u dont know a history?one tip for you:WW1 started Atanta(France,Russia and UK) vs Italy,USA and Germany-Austria! ww1 started with one quest:KILL FERDINAND! Ferdinand was killed by Gavrilo Princip, young Bosnian boy with one lane:To portect their land! AND ETC!!!!Education will be so good for u! Serbia is just a small land with courage and pride!remeber:Lord Dusan,Lazar,Stefan Nemanja, and all Serbian Knights :) Serbia defeated Germany at wwars

Let me say it like this: Respect to all who fought and died during WWI and WWII.

    Better?

  • With the Imperial Guard, heavy casualties is the price to victory. No defeat, only victory... FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!

  • LOL l just read both top comments after each other, first "remember th fallen on boh sides" and then"you forgot dragons and Gandalf" l know they had nothing to do with each other but still...:) happy new year!

  • i like it thumps up :)

  • this is not HITLER!! its not ww2!! ITS WW1!!

  • @ziga5250 Hitler fought as a corporal in WWI ;). I think NCMCOMMANDER meant that.

When the Germans surrendered he was lying in a hospital, being hit by a grenade. The surrender of the German gouvernant made him furious.

One of the reasons he wanted to go into 'politics' (if you can call kicking everyone's who doesn't vote for you ass politics) if I recall correct.

  • @Soldierlozer They were throwing grenades at him in the hospital? :o

  • @Henners1991

    ...yes exactly...

  • @Soldierlozer Wasn't he blinded for a while because of a failed gas attack int he trenches?

  • @Tarias678 He got blinded in the last month before they surrendered. Hitler laid on hospital when they gave up.

  • That's part of the reason the Germans did not make use of gas n the WW2. If the Germans had taken full advandtage of their technological edge they would have won. They had sarin and nerve gas but ol' swizzle brains neglected to use it. It was the same for the V2. jet planes, helicopters, the assault rifle, etc.

  • @Soldierlozer actually he was only a private the regional command didnt promote him because they said he lacked leadership

  • @ziga5250 Yeah but hitler fought in WW1....

  • @ziga5250 wasnt that pretty obvius? <- how do i spell that ???

  • @sharplyfast1 "Obvious." And I'm only correcting since you asked. :P

  • @ziga5250 Actually Hitler got Iron Cross during WWI for courage and saving his fellows during assault...

  • @WindOfTruth1983 And for capturing 15 or so French soldiers by him self. He was an extremely professional soldier and he got both the Iron Cross First and Second Class.

  • @ziga5250 hitler was a soldier in WW1

  • @ziga5250 the kiser

  • DEUTSCHLAND

  • Really? Who would dislike this? "Oh yeah, thousands of lives for stupid reasons." No, none of those lives were a waste, in fact, numbers helped them win, at a HEAVY cost though, a great charge and a fantastic army for even attempting that move. Many lives (soldiers) to save that many more, (civilians).

  • @ericrhere117 What most fail to realize is that the advances in War Tech preceded battlefield tactics. The trench was nothing more than an upgraded version of marching across the field in large units 4x20. Not to mention due to that fact there was hardly any moving around. It was a risky charge followed by the counter charge. I feel bad for those who fought in the trenches. All but Hitler of course. Who was present at Paschendale.

  • @NCMCOMMANDER Too right.

  • @ericrhere117

In my opinion they also died for a reason. Europe bled alot through the wars and those people died and in the end helped uniting it. We're here because of what happened after all.

  • @ericrhere117

But hardly any civilians were ever deliberately attacked... Are you sure you haven't confused it with WW2?

  • @Rainbows871 I meant they saved lives, fought on the front lines so they couldn't get to the land.

  • @Rainbows871 And you are probably right, I'm more of a WWll historian, weapons mainly.

  • Schönes Lied und Schön wie die Franzosen Fallen !

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE

  • There is no price for a life. Not any damn mile, argument, or religion.

  • @IAmTheStandingMan Of course there is a price for a life. Only some need to pay more then others.

Suffering, pain and in the end death... We pay for our lives with blood and some let others bleed for there lives. But in the end everyone pays, everyone dies

What you can ask yourself, who are we paying? Are we paying the gods for giving us life?

I think we pay it to everything that lives after we die. All we do in life, will influence the people even after we have left them.

  • 94 people kept deep kneeded in mud.....

  • im deaf but sounds of the song smells good

  • very touching we need not to be reminded that people died for us so we should make the most of the life and freedom that they fought for and gave us heroes live heroes die but in the end there legacy carries on with this song we remember that legacy and the the heroes on both side way may have had our differences in the past but the past can be forgotten in time

  • A beautiful song. It feels very tragic when you really think about it.

  • when i listen to sabaton songs i want fight for my country!

  • "Some went cause they were bored at home, some went for the thrill of it, some went to fight, but most went Cause it was the right thing to do." remember fallen heroes

  • Ah the good old days, its precisely what we need today,a war meant to burn the world clean,to purge us of our excess.Blood for the Blood God,skulls for Khorne!

  • @MrBuddydan Wow, you need to explain that more.

  • @jeffhardyisepic It sounds monstrously cruel.Simply said only a horrendous war with extreme casualties on all sides will rectify the worldwide economic crisis, offset critical resource shortages/depletions and establish a new order since the one we have has stopped working in absence of a cold war.

  • @MrBuddydan No, I mean the blood god and Khorne. What's that? It sounds intresting,

  • @jeffhardyisepic The Games Workshop Warhammer genre..."in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war".Khorne is one of the Chaos gods, the blood god who measures victory by the casualties incurred, friend and foe alike.Like the mongols of old, mounds of trophy skulls are heaped before him and he cackles with a dark glee.

  • @MrBuddydan Oh, I thought that it was some satanic-ish religion :D

  • @MrBuddydan There is no such thing as excess- A Slaaneshi cultist ;)

  • OMG look at tags from this song:

sabaton best band in the world price of mile WWI

That best band in the world is true :D

  • From 4.12 it is manifique the images with the music

  • SUPER!!!SUPER!!!SUPER!!!

  • Support the troops you sons of bitches. It's easy to dismiss what they do because you don't agree with the politics that sent them there-but that has nothing to do with anything. A soldier knows when a soldier dies, and what war really is, none better.

  • World War 1.

Lovely example on how to wage an inffective war.

Millions of cash and brave men wasted in the mud, a nation in disrepair and broken spirit.

A war should be quick and decisive, no nation has ever prospered from prolounged war.

  • i could run there for my country. no problem

  • Yes i love when germans kill french nubs, yes yes yes!!!

  • Young men are dying -

    they pay the price!

  • awesome and powerful song :)))

  • I'm from Warsaw in poland and I respect and love Sabaton :D

  • super pesnička

  • Prefer death to Life -- Bullshit. Whom ever wrote it is a liar !

  • @ernstbecker1 I must say I disagree. It all really depends on the situation you are in, and your ideals as a person.

  • @WittyUsername816 you are correct , some prefer in these situation to die n than live , you cant tell yes or no if you never been in this situation :)

  • @WittyUsername816 Double bullshit ! Just wait 'til someone trys to kill you. Perhaps you'll understand. Ideals? You're dreaming .............

  • @ernstbecker1 Not even close. You sir, have never been in a situation where you are in so much pain, that you wish it would just end. Picture this:

You have been captured by enemy soldiers. You have been tortured for months on end. There is no hope of being rescued. Your captors are still pumping you for information, even though you have already told them everything that you know. They start cutting off your fingers if you don't tell them what they want to hear.

  • @WittyUsername816 You have played too many video games.

  • @WittyUsername816 I haven'y? Try a war and then talk to me.

  • @ernstbecker1 They continue this until you have no fingers left. They then start on your toes. You are not allowed to leave the room to go to the bathroom, and you defecate on the floor. You are not given fresh clothes, or a chance to take a shower. You are given limited food water. They beat you daily, for no reason at all. You haven't seen the light of day in months, and all you can smell is your own feces.

All you can wish for at this point, is death.

  • @WittyUsername816 Again far too many video games.

  • @ernstbecker1 Not really. I actually rarely play any video games. I enjoy Portal, but that hardly contributes to violence. No, my friend, it's called a taste of real life. You should try it some time. Real Life is this wonderful thing, most of the time.

  • @WittyUsername816 Fien and dandy -- a World traveler.

  • @WittyUsername816 What's wrong with video games?

  • @jeffhardyisepic You might get killed or worse yet -- wounded.
