I wouldn't go that far. Roy Nelson does have some skill. He's very technical and intelligent.

An example was his fight against Kimbo. The crucifix was perfect because he could exert little energy by only striking Kimbo softly, but because Kimbo couldn't "intelligently defend himself" he had to be given the victory. If Nelson was more athletic, with better striking he would be quite a good fighter.

But you're right in saying Nelson's fights are boring. He's not explosive enough.
