  • Technically a probability drive could work by merging with quantumn mechnics and reconstituting it's self from the quantumn field or quantumn foam. It could pass through Tetrations of magnitude, Pentations of magnitude or Hexations of magnitude chances and drive this way. Something to think about.

  • I love the part when Arthur is normal again but he's pulling yarn out of his mouth, and he's talking gibberish.

  • Loving the yarn stop motion!!! Especially Yarn Marvin!!!! SO CUTE!!

  • Greatness at 1:37

  • @BecomeMyNewCat well i suppose when you put it that way....i find a lot of things that are odd very funny

like many botched kills in the show dexter...so to each is own i say....and sorry for my comment....i just was amazed at how dull i took the movie is all, and raged about it...ah oh well

  • Ooh, intergalactic Christian-types!

  • "in the beging the universe was created, this made alot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move" best line ever

  • "Two heads are better than one... Double your pleasure!" LOL

  • whats with Ford's uhhhh..... warcry??

  • I love the party explanation

  • i refuse to beleive anyone actually likes this movie....i think people like it because other like it....the movie has a few interesting satires of real life...but all the other failed humor is painfull to sit through..

  • @MadMAn12gauge Not sure if troll, or just very stupid.

  • @furiousfuryan ? what do you mean? the movie blows big time....how can u not see how this is better than the book which is good...this movie is total crap

  • the yarn part is like my favorite part

  • haha the bike has square wheels...

  • Am I the only one who paused at 0:12 and solved the HYPERSPACE maze? :D

  • Aww knitted Marvin & Arthur are so adorable!

  • Ford makes really weird noises when he's scared/nervous/joyous/etc.

  • 7:48 - the Bush vocal parody - EPIC WIN :)

  • god i love this film, it's so random and weird XD

  • Pulls nose off....

    IVE GOT YOUR NOSE!!!

  • Press 1 for yarn Marvin cuteness.

  • You know, so many people are saying that this movie didn't follow the book. So? Does that really matter? I like to think of it as just another adventure had by the characters, or maybe an adaption. As long as it's funny and enjoyable, why should we care?

  • @PhantomKirbyKid Considering that Adams himself worked on the screenplay, he probably had the exact same thought and just decided to have fun with the whole thing for the hell of it.

  • hahahaha it's malkovich

  • "So that's Humma Kavuula I thought he was just swearing"

    haha classic

  • HUMMA KAVULAAA!!!!

    *Orgasmic face*

  • You also got to be amazed at how goofy the fact he has dozens of little legs with little feet under his torso yet he still manages to be very sinister. I think that is the soul of The Hitchhiker's Guide universe; seriously goofy, or Goofily serious, a universe that is daft and silly and taken utterly seriously.

  • 5 people didnt get notmality

  • Jyon Myalkyavyich!

  • I like how Ford says "Belgium Bummer" at 9:43 - after all, it's the most foul word in the Universe....

  • XD he threw up colorful yarn.

  • Lol at 9:20

  • <3 Alan Rickman <3

  • I finally realised where I know Humma Kavoula from!

He is Pascal Sauvage from Johnny English

  • God bless Stephen Fry for narrating the movie. I'm sure Peter Jones would have done it if he was still alive at the time. I thought Stephens interpretation was excellent!

  • @loungeking1 Agreed. He's the only choice that makes any sense at all.

  • if he still has the babel fish in his ear then why not understand the mice?

  • @Qbro618 apparently the babble fish doesn't work on beings that dont have a formal language. see the book "the restaurant at the end of the universe for more detail.

  • @ganon1994 WHERE CAN I PICK UP A COPY

  • @Qbro618 i got a copy of "the ultimate hitchhikers guide" which is all 5 novels at barnes and noble

  • @ganon1994 I read that, but a sixth book came out last year.

  • @NintendoSaturday but that was written by colfer, but a great book nevertheless

  • @Qbro618 Magic :D

  • "you´ve grown.. obviously"

  • yarn marvin?!

  • "we lift our noses up and up in reverance 2 u. send a hankercheif o blessed 1 so that it will wipe us clean. ahhhhhhhhhhchewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!" LOL

  • Belgium

  • Wow! Jon Malkovich's scene was incredibly eerie!

  • can I join that religion?

  • *Claps* XD Even as a die-hard fan of the book, the television series and radio series, I can't help but love this. The whole development of the Humma Kavula thing is absolutely brilliant :D

  • could you get a funnier parody of religion?

  • @Ashitaka255 Life of brian?

  • @Ashitaka255 fuck you

  • @Ashitaka255 Bless you.

  • @Ashitaka255 lol, that is hilarious.

  • @ultimateplay91 he never died in the book!

  • @TheDisneyFan111 he does but he comes back to life in the radio series

  • Thumbs up for the flying webcam!

  • 00:56 - 1:15 has to be my favorite part

btw marvin looks so cute as a puppet. i was sad when he died in the book

  • I love Ford's battle cry lol

  • arhur, pulling yarn out of his mouth XD

he looks so lost sometimes, it makes me want to hug him.

    'he just grew.'

a little 'stupid' sign, lol. nice lil touch. i like this humma guy.

    towel to the RESCUE!!!!!!

  • Bless you.

  • Anybody else hear a real sneeze after the chorus of fake ones?

    Just askin'.

  • Was the person who wrote this athiest?

  • @RainbowManification no, more like evolutionist. Its gets kind of irritating at some parts of this movie. :P

  • @RainbowManification

Richard Dawkins was good friends with him and quotes him in his book. I'm guessing he was an atheist. Certainly a rationalist.

  • @RainbowManification yes Douglas Adams was an atheist

  • Knitted Marvin is CUTE

  • @Carodacat "cute? i suppose your idea of cute involves utterly depressed. but what's the use anyway..."

  • @Carodacat I want a plush of marvin!

  • [-__o]

  • lol "Great Green arckleseziure"

    (Probably not spelling it right)

  • The hymn is to the tune of 'You raise me up'

  • lol at the poor lonely physicists, and at arthur vomiting yarn.

  • lol @9:48 apparently 'Belgium' is a swear word

  • STUPID ^

  • i like marvin as a puppet!

  • wtf is this scene???? NEVER mentioned in the books! If Slartibartfast doesn't show up, I'm going to be mad!

  • @BandGirl34 it IS mentioned in the books. i remember clearly reading the part of the god that sneezed the universe into existence, and 'we raise our unblown noses' is a line i remember as well. yeah, the humma dude is new, but he was put in there by adams himself. stop fussing!

  • @BandGirl34 actually, correction: this they actually took from when they are at 'the restaurant at the end of the universe'. these ppl are introduced then, cuz there is a group of them in the restaurant. they just made zaphod and troop land on their planet before magaretha (sp?), is all. got some of the lines from there.

  • I love that ford slipped in the worst curse word, "Belgian," in there at the end

  • this surely took a lot of drugs to make

  • @EnonimusTransmission of course but, which ones and in what order?

  • bahahahaha, "bless you." Gets me every time.

  • lol id love a plush marvin

  • Yarn sick

  • is it just me or do those religious guys in the green gowns look like KKK members and also

"So that's Hamma Kavula i thought he was just swearing" LOL

  • Wait, so the book KNOWS of things that existed BEFORE the universe, or is this an ever-famous plot hole?

Also, I love the hankerchief thing. Yay religions that make you laugh.

  • "partly because it was a de-basement of science" brilliant

  • John Malkovich! Hahahahha

  • I love the yarn world!

  • have u noticed the second head of the president of the universe loox liek chuck norris!

  • @laughablemania he was the youth gang leader in TMNT 1.

  • @laughablemania yeah, he also reminds me of Gorge Bush when he talks.

  • why do you think there's another fist coming from his beard lolz???

  • 9:30 the down-on-one-knee Elvis pose cracks me up every time. Sam Rockwell is great. :-)

  • I'm so totally the president of the galaxy

  • i need the guide so badly. and douglas adams mind . just so he can explain the wonders of his book to me....

  • THE GREAT GREEN ARKLESEIZURE

  • Zaphod sounds like Obama

  • ........ omg ... that second head? .... um,ya

  • 1:47 hahaha best scene of the movie

  • i agree with you completely xx

  • BELGUM bummer if youve read the book. thats twice as good

  • lol i love this movie

  • Pause at 5:28 That is likely the most disturbing non-beyond possible thing I've ever seen.

  • @Gam3Junkie7 assholes for eyes!!! sick!

  • @Gam3junkie7 yyyes yes it isO-O

  • Wait a sec

    Wait just a sec

Holy shit. I know the chances of this is small.

BUT. Does anyone know if Is it possible to continually defeat the illuminati, by stop watching their movies? Or are the movies signs...or tools or merely to see what we think about or do they transfer their plan to us?

Maybe ....gahhh this is so confusing.

There should be a Shaman or tribal major or some masterminded energy person.

    Over and out Captain Spercoff.

  • love the knitted versions of them

    specially marvin and the sick

  • Lawl just as the people sneezed my aunty sneezed in the room next to mine.

  • 1:10 till the end of yarn scene looks like sommin out of robot chicken

  • Isn't that thing about the people inventing inventing aerosol spray before the wheel from the restaurant at the end of the universe?

  • @swordmagyk yes, yes it is :D

  • The Coming of the Great White Handkerchief - it's happening Dec.21,2012!

  • @bubblehead696 shit!

  • @bubblehead696 They said that in 2009 too.

  • @bubblehead696 Haven't you heard? It's actually 2014! *rolls eyes*

  • @reameess Actually Actually,if we use the actual Mayan long count calendar,it will happen on October 12,4772.....which,coincidentally,just happens to be Columbus Day; how ironic!

  • There are 5 books: The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, The restaurant at the end of the universe, Life The Universe and everything, So long and thanks for all the fish, and finally, Mostly Harmless. =)

  • @JudeKeynes Then Eoin Colfer finished And Another Thing...

  • HAHAHAH H1N1, OH NO

  • 0:55 to 1:20 lol Lol LOl LOL!

  • @Woltato you do know that Douglas adams helped write the script, so its not really amaricanised.

  • Is it just me or is Zaphod really annoying in this version? Still love the movie.

  • Don't blame poor old zaphod - the following is to blame.....

Poor casting, poor script interpretation, making zaphod violent (he was supposed to be a coward), giving the character a southern US accent, and finally.....Zaphod's supposed to be COOL!!!!

I really like Sam Rockwell as an actor but this role was totally made for somebody else....

Oh and NEVER put John Malkovich in a comedy..... NEVER! He can only play one role - we saw it in Dangerous Liasons and nothing's changed since!

  • "Don't blame poor old Zaphod..." I agree with everything you wrote, except I think John Malkovich can do comedy very well. Being John Malkovich and Burn After Reading for example.

  • He's so cool you could "keep a side of meat in him for a month," and so hip he has "trouble seeing over his pelvis" XD (Restaurant at the end of the galaxy reference)

  • so hip he has "trouble seeing over his pelvis"

LOL. I'd forgotten that one. Classic!

Another cool Zaphod quote: "You guys are so unhip, it's a wonder your bums don't fall off"

  • another hip quote:

"Oh mister Beeblebrox, you're so weird! You belong in pictures!"

"Yeah, baby, and you belong in REAL LIFE!"

  • Doesn't measure up to the original (the radio series), but not a bad film.

  • im confused...could someone please explain this movie to me ive never seen it before and im lost.

  • You can watch the other parts before this

  • aha i did...i went back and realized i missed part 4 tho. This was quite an interesting movie i dont quite know what to make of it.

  • Yes, it is very unique.

  • Read the book(s).

Far more detailed - explains everything.

  • You might want to read the books by Douglass Adams. There are four and the movie takes bits of all of them and compresses them into one movie, which I think is why its hard to follow. They are fun to read, Adams is quite a good writer.

  • Someone's making a fifth book

  • @lozfoe444 No sixth: And Another Thing

  • @MudShaShaShaark there are actually seven now, i think. six at least.

  • @alyssahotty18 I know only of six of which the last one was not written by Adams.

  • @tuschman168 yes, i found it out right after i wrote the comment. in fact, i looked it up as soon as i hit post.
