they dont make shows like this anymore,, todays tv is full of fucking shit reality tv shows full of wanna be fuckwits and has been celebrities,,,, what happened to the good old days???
VERY FOND MEMORIES. Thank you so much. And may I add my voice in SUPPORT of the advocacy & demand for a release on DVD of this impeccably-important part of our early artistic / cultural-heritage in respect to Australian TV entertainment.
@cam068 Fair Enough !! Yes .. you're right .. even better than DVD, were it be put back on TV again ... maybe it's time for the addition of a new Digital TV Channel to the current free-to-air collection .. specialising in retro TV ...
Back when magistrates had a backbone, and a bit of street "re calibration" sorted out low level thugs, now we have piss weak judges, politicians, breeding bogans, to the bogan dad at Eagle Boys pizza, Spearwood WA, like father, like son, loser.
@hotelxray1 Crawford productions have got a tribute website. I think its crawfordproductionsnet or something similiar, you can get all of Crawfords themes there i think.
Wow,the flute music from the part where the station wagon pulls up and Ted Hamilton gets out - it's stayed in my mind since I was a child. 1st time I've heard it since then too.
And Los Angelenos are familiar with this piece as the theme from KNXT/KCBS-TV's late afternoon "The Early Show" from the late 1960's well into the '80's.
Evidently, someone else did, too - someone at Los Angeles TV station KNXT (now KCBS-TV), since that station used this theme to go with the opening titles of their afternoon movie series "The Early Show" in the late 1960's / early '70's.
Gerard Kennedy is in the first 2 episodes of Underbelly. He is in the house when Gangitano gets shot by Jason Moran. Like these Golden Oldies, riveting television. Hope to see more of Gerard in some later episodes of Underbelly.
@manitogata Gerard Kennedy was in Underbelly recently...Chulk Fawkner isn't with us anymore unfortunately, Jason Donavan's dad is definitely still around, don't know where Patty Smith, Ted Hamilton and Frank Taylor are though...They'd be around somewhere!

P.S. It was a stock-music piece called "Power Drive," by British composer Johnny Pearson, from the KPM music library.
