  • thunderbirds are coming out.

  • ahhh...good guys with short hair, unshaven bad guys, floosies in compormising poses. The Australian criminal world of yesteryear!

  • what great theme music.

  • VERY FOND MEMORIES. Thank you so much. And may I add my voice in SUPPORT of the advocacy & demand for a release on DVD of this impeccably-important part of our early artistic / cultural-heritage in respect to Australian TV entertainment.

  • @colindominy To hell with DVD, put it back on TV! Compared to the rubbish thats on now, I'll watch Divvy 4 and Matlock anyday!

  • @cam068 Fair Enough !! Yes .. you're right .. even better than DVD, were it be put back on TV again ... maybe it's time for the addition of a new Digital TV Channel to the current free-to-air collection .. specialising in retro TV ...

  • @colindominy Its actually on WIN TV in the country, but I don't get that, I'm in Metro Melbourne...All of them apart from Homcide are on..

  • How do you get this song on your phone?

  • Absolutely superb. Great show back in the day. That lady cop was mean.

  • I know it probably isn't but the mugshot at 0:20 looks kike a young Eric Bana. He was probably only about 1 at the time but.

  • @pathdaly Ha ha..its actually 0:22!! Eric Bana with a beard? I don't even think he would have been born in 69 would he?

  • noice theme well b4 i wos born tho

  • Great to see again...Hey any clearer copies available, would love to hear from you,as I'm the Bloke jumping the fence!

    Cheers

    RICK KENT

  • @Mempes I see you! At 0:37!! Were you in an episode or Divvy 4 or was that justgshot for the opening??

  • Back when magistrates had a backbone, and a bit of street "re calibration" sorted out low level thugs, now we have piss weak judges, politicians, breeding bogans, to the bogan dad at Eagle Boys pizza, Spearwood WA, like father, like son, loser.

  • I AGREE DVD PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  • Bring it to DVD!!!

  • The coppers were real whallopers in them days! Love it!!

  • Oh man, this is classic stuff I can remember from when I was a kid.

  • Anyone know where I can download this theme from?

  • here?

  • @hotelxray1 Crawford productions have got a tribute website. I think its crawfordproductionsnet or something similiar, you can get all of Crawfords themes there i think.

  • Ha! Ha! I use to love watching cop shows back then as a kid, when all crooks were lsd using psycho's and women cops were there to make cups of tea.

  • thats all women cops are good for

  • i could think of some other use's too !!

  • Wow,the flute music from the part where the station wagon pulls up and Ted Hamilton gets out - it's stayed in my mind since I was a child. 1st time I've heard it since then too.

  • This music was repeatedly used in the classic Spiderman Animates series from 1967-1970.

  • And Los Angelenos are familiar with this piece as the theme from KNXT/KCBS-TV's late afternoon "The Early Show" from the late 1960's well into the '80's.

  • @Sambelil Yes I remember this!! Can remember running to tell Grandma that Frank Banner was Spiderman!!!!!

  • yarra central was a safer place back then

  • Exellent show not like the bullshit thats on these days. The police shows from the early days are more real.

  • @johnperic77360 Just read your comments now...and I couldn't agree more!

  • Love that theme song.

  • Evidently, someone else did, too - someone at Los Angeles TV station KNXT (now KCBS-TV), since that station used this theme to go with the opening titles of their afternoon movie series "The Early Show" in the late 1960's / early '70's.

  • P.S. It was a stock-music piece called "Power Drive," by British composer Johnny Pearson, from the KPM music library.

  • this is very raw and realistic.you don,t need millions to make good tv.sadly these days of quality drama are long gone.

  • good job mate.. thanks for the mrmories

  • I wonder where these actors are now

  • Gerard Kennedy is in the first 2 episodes of Underbelly. He is in the house when Gangitano gets shot by Jason Moran. Like these Golden Oldies, riveting television. Hope to see more of Gerard in some later episodes of Underbelly.

  • @manitogata Gerard Kennedy was in Underbelly recently...Chulk Fawkner isn't with us anymore unfortunately, Jason Donavan's dad is definitely still around, don't know where Patty Smith, Ted Hamilton and Frank Taylor are though...They'd be around somewhere!

  • @cam068

    Thank you for your response.

    Cheers

  • Going back many years ago!!!

  • This brings back memeries of tv snacks and watching cops arrest BAD DRUG FUCKED HIPPIES of the early '70s.
