Indeed a very good movie. But the thoughts and words of of Vera are in the unreal world. Any woman who is a wife would love to have an husband like Alex, for that is how his care for and the response from his children is in the movie.
Either of the following two conclusions are only possble.
1) Vera is mentally unwell resulting in her SELF BANISHMENT from life.
2)The girl's loud reading on love is lacking more in Vera than in Alex. Avoid similar fate get the Paul to teach us
