does fc2 favour nvidia rather than ati? because im playing at lower res 1680x1050 and overclocked core i7 860, overclocked ati 4890 and getting that performance while not recording.......
It's a xfx gtx 260 black edition (NOT the core 216 one) but i would recomend you to get the new directX 11 cards, like the 5850, or wait until the new nvidia cards is released.
It's really a bang for the buck. Theres is no cheaper case that delivers the same air-flow in this price range. My ambience temperature is 30 degrees alll the time. The only downside is that the interior is not black, but you hardly notice it with that blue LED fan, it just looks fantastic.
It's nice stable and easy, although, you should get a better cooler, since the i5 have the turbo feature that increases the multiplier in certain situations, wich in some cases can lead the cpu getting very hot.. Iclocked mine down to 3.0 ghz just ntil i get my watercooling set up.
I already have a scythe mugen lying around and will order new mounting clips for it. My aim is to get to 3.4-3.6 ghz with decent temperatures. If the mugen fits on the board the temp shouldn't be a problem.
Yea, with that cooler you can get to 3.8 without a problem if your just gonna use the computer for gaming, but if your gonna do some CPU heavy calculating, you might wanna clock it down some. What i've expirienced so far, the i5 is the best processor for overclocking yet :)
On idle it's about 30 degrees, and on load it's around 50-55 so the stock cooler performs really well fo a 800 mhz overclock, especially since it's a quad. But i would recomend buying a better cooler if you dont like the sound of the fan going at 100% all the time, but if youre like me and have headphones with music etc. the youre all set :)
