The vampires in this movie were able to put their victims in a sort of mental hypnosis when they were biting them, which is why they wouldn't freak out when they got bit. But I see where your coming from considering they never really explained that in the movie.

Actually being bitten is an actual fetish that exists, therefore someone could be aroused by that...so I'm guessing all the females in this movie had that fetish?
Not to mention that vampirism is an actual thing; some of those weird people actually bite each other.

OK....now I've watched it. You read the book and she makes them pretty savage. I am also a Christian Slater fan girl. I think he's brilliant and it's a shame he hasn't pulled out of his drug addiction like Robert Downey Jr.

I watched it and thought exactly the same, just really mediocre and the characters had little evolution to keep me interested. Awesome outro.
