I am studying a bachelor of criminology at uni...i have seen some of the comments...is he so far removed from you and I...I think not...I think the period of delusion and madness is relative to your perception of your own personal identity....what makes him mad or evil.....what restrains you from such acts.....of course this is a crime....and is a prison sentence the answer....probably not....his character is defined by his actions....do you practice what you preach...a most interesting thought.
It has been said to see the face of evil all most of us have to do is look in the mirror...think about this...what makes this man act on his impulses and you restrain.....
I hate the way in the UK we have this hush-hush way with killers so that we rarely if ever interview them, and if we do we ask fucking retarded questions like 'isn't it a bit messy' as if its a fucking hobby. We need to look deeper into these people.
@marckellyv1 yeah?hey expert on sad- why shouldnt he. thats what you tube is- didnt you know .civilization 101! they took it back to basics.......that goes for you too- odour boy.........and jesus wept for precisely people like you and not for a comment on a video. take deep breaths...and close eyes as you scroll past- is another option
what i dont understand is why he doesnt get life without an option for parole. he is practically giving lessons. shows absolutely no remorse. on the contrary i get the impression - the moment he is out he will repeat the same and simply say this time- well i thought you knew......and he gets to write books reliving these moments ...not like the profits are going to relatives. or the law-nah....for a couple of prison and lawyer perks.and later life .. interesting docs.- scary ramnifications....
@marckellyv1 Oh Jesus Fucking Wept! Will you ever fuck off and die?? my comment was made 4 fucking weeks ago so technically I fkd off long ago!! They are not my conspiracies prick, it's called common fucking knowledge retard!!
"The bodies are gone, but I still have a communion with them..." Jesus Dennis! I doubt the victims would see it that way, could they speak for themselves.
We know who Jack the ripper was It was a crew of 3 ppl lead by Winston Churchills father to silence Mary Kelly's friends that were conspiring to expose or bribe the royal family, one of the accompliceses confessed to the Yard at the tme but no action was taken, its unbeleivable to think his son became prime minister, I suppose it shows the inherrent sickness needed to rule our sick country just look at what happened to Lady Diana Spencer not the first time the royals have murdered & not the last
i kknow some mental healthcare experts are going to disagree with me here, but i am open to discussing different possibilities, and i think an open mind and in the name of further studies, new theories cannot be excluded in order to find some sort of treatment, and i think -extroverted autism in combination with other complications may not be an entirely wrong direction to be looking in.
cont- ..and on some levels there is so much indication to severe autism..seen them rock back and forth, pull their hair..scratch their faces..do all sorts of very extreme violent acts both toward themselves as well as others..Unexpectedly attacking with a knife or biting, literally flying across the room in an instant to attack someone..And i have heard them explain, -i just want to kill..i don't feel anything..i just want to kill, cos people will not do what i want them to.
November 4th this year will make it that Dennis Nilsen has passed his twenty five mark sentence it is not twenty eight years. Unusual for Britain considering they give sentences these days for murder that lasts five minutes well that is just a saying between five and fifteen years. Ridiculous how justice prevails there for murder. There are things I don not like abou tthe US which are a few but when they issue a sentence it is meant 125 year or more is exactly that. Moved to England during this.
@starlight76able The Home Secretary imposed the "whole life tariff" and ALL avenues of appeal have been exhausted, he will never be released, night night ya sick fuck!
@koalajones88 I know that it sounds strange but i think Nilsen and maybe Dahmer were slightly different to Bundy because Nilsen seemed to have a sick sort of love for his victims were as Bundy defiantly did not.
@TrippandRun I'd relate Dahmer more to Bundy and keep Nilsen separate from both. Dahmer and Bundy both had sexual motivations in their killing, Nilsen was clearly just isanely lonely while sociopathic and violent.
@koalajones88 The thing is when one studies e.g. Freudian psychology, or from a psychological perspective, not neurological, although for many things the two are inevitably related, like with mood disorders, it asserts that conscience develops and we're all born without it, as it forms a part of personality (an adjusted one of course) at after five years of age mostly, but is totally a manifestation of environmental factors and experiences that form into an unconscious conscience or 'superego'
Wonder the whole time while I watch this what are the gurgling creepy sounds coming from the hallway for I'm alone in the house (shiver) until I remember that I turned on the dish washer an hour ago! :-D
@MorganScorpion Thank you for pointing that out to me. You are off course 100% correct and I will now go and put my head in the gas oven. thanks again.
@MorganScorpion No I really do mean THANKS for pointing it out. The "head in the oven" bit was sarcastic but Im English so.Now your new message looks Iike your being patronising. Just so hard to gauge what someones saying or how their saying it in 10 words.
thank you SO much, this is amazing Brian Masters is the absolute best true crime writer, his books on Jeffrey Dahmer, Dennis Nilsen and Rosemary West are fantastic especially the one about Dahmer.
I'm 39 lived in both UK and US. So true what the profiler at 10:56 said: Whatever crap social phenomenon happens in the US, the UK usually follows after. This has happened my whole life with things large and small. US smoking bans were ridiculed non stop in the UK ("and the US claims to be land of the free but you can't even smoke" type comments). Now you have the same. Same with Obesity epidemic, Falling education standards, Dumbed down TV. etc.
If I gave you all a table and chairs and said I don't need them anymore could you please chop them up with this axe and burn them on a fire you would probably do so. If I gave you a live human being and told you to do the same thing it is unlikely that you could. Simply because as a fellow human you would have that vital thing called empathy. Dennis did not have this. Which is why he was able to de humanise the persons he killed.
So are most serial killers autistic so to speak? Autistic people have no empathy. Maybe psychopathy is just a higher functioning autistic - though obviously they could never qualify that.
@weirdcitykid U know..u are not so far off from what i have been theorizing for years..but obviously not being a professional psychatrist or anything of the sort, you can't really come public with theories about what may be wrong with these peoples minds.. In my personal experience i have a category i name -an extrovert autistic..very intelligent, very cunning, and with symptoms reminicent of ADHD, but yet, not quite the same..just -bursts of unexpected rage that comes over them..
poor old Dennis. Traumatized as a kid when he saw his grandfathers body when the family had the body out for view. before they buried it.. As a child that must be so imbedded into a young mind. here is a man who is lying calm safe , and happy in death. that Dennis took all this on board. He adored his grandfather so so much that he couldnt separate the two from each other and with this started the catalog of murders. that he was killing for company and love that he felt s alone
Are you serious?! I'm sure young Dennis Nilsen isn't the first child to see a dead relative but funnily enough they don't all go on to become serial killers! Your excuse for him is total codswallop. He was a cunning, sly, cold and calculating killer and nothing less. I had an upsetting childhood and live on my own now - do you suggest I go out and kill some folk just to keep me company??? *sigh*
@traciee7011 calculating and Clever Really. ??? have you read the book by Brian Masters its a Very good read. Its called Killing for Company. have a read of it. Its very Interesting
@heidirh according to an article in the Independant, Tuesday, 19 January 1993 interview the interviewer was "a clinical psychologist at Albany maximum security prison on the Isle of Wight.". Sadly I can't post the link on YouTube but if you Google Nilsen - Interview - Home Office it should come up.
@MorganScorpion He said "communion," not "communication." I took it to mean a spiritual communion, meaning that he feels a sense of spiritual "one-ness" with his victims.
@MorganScorpion I'm guessing that the interviewer wasn't interested in the minutiae of Nilsen's motivations. Or possibly the interviewer is a Christian and finds Nilsen's comment blasphemous, and therefore "disgusting," wanting to stop further discussion of it for fear of becoming emotionally involved in the conversation, allowing his facade of professionalism to crack. I do wish that Nilsen had spoken further on this feeling of "communion."
