  • thank you sososo much, this helped loads in my exam!

  • the main architects were jewish. look it up.

  • It says: 'World disarmament'. Hope that helps

  • in 2:21 did he say world assignment or something else..plz somebody tell me. i really need it!!

  • "A treaty too soft for its harshness, or too harsh for its softness", as French nationalist Maurras wrote. Yet its main flaw was that the US did not keep their word, and retired into isolationism after having negociated that peace. Had the US endorsed its duty as a world power, and had the Versailles treaty been enforced, Germany would not have rearmed and we would have been spared another WW.

  • very helpful :)

  • Speak up... canarley hear you! But great video otherwise

  • @heady021 Turn your sound up then.

  • @BananaHamMan Sound is up idiot. It's up as loud as it will go and high quality speakers up as loud as they will go too. I click on any other video at this volume and it nearly bursts the speakers - this is as loud as a whisper.

  • @heady021 I had no problems with the sound :P

  • hehehe brat

  • good source of revision

  • Good but could do with more statistics, dates and depth into the Treaty. This would help GCSE students but not A level or Degree level students.

  • Thank You..i find your history videos really good. you talk at a nice pace as well to understand it all. :)

  • I can't think of a better way to assure another war. The french could have been a better "neighbor", instead they were intent on revenge which only brought about another world war. The US never ratified this treaty.

  • Nice Video Man!! Well Done!!

  • needs to be louder though

  • The "Treaty" of Versailles was a crime! French shit! The cause of WW2!

  • Thanks, this really helped me on my exam!

Your other videos about the Weimar republic were great too.

  • Thanks, this really helped me on my exam!

  • i was tought gargla Guilt cause Arms limitation

    Reperation payments Germany lost land

    League of nations

    and Anschlus

  • Bit confused, I had not been education about "BRAT" I was taught "LAMB" Land, Army, Money, Blame.. Its doesnt make any difference doese it?

  • @Bankyx0x i asked my A level teacher the same thing and he said it's basically the same, so don't panic! :)

  • Thankyou very much, this was probably the best, most comprehensive video I have been able to find concerning any aspect of the war. You have helped immensely!

  • Trianon WASN'T based on real democratic referendums(general equal & secret ballots)The"national councils"were elected suspiciously-way,without any local documentations.Czechs don't trust in Slovaks(because very few slovaks joined/supported the"czechoslovak"army against Hungarians(Slovaks were 48%).Romanian politicians didn't trust in Transylvanian romanians, perhabs they didn't want to join to backward poor romania(romanians were 53% in Transylvania).Serbs were minority (22%) in Southern Hungary

  • what?

  • The treaty of versailles was the major cause for WW2. Victory wasn't enough, they wanted to starve Germany to death.

If you beat a dog all the time, he'll bite you sooner or later, and this is what Germany did in WW2.

  • Had anyone other then stupid Wilson been president, it wouldn't have happened that way. Wilson was a "Progressive" who hated our Constitution & wished to undermine the American tradition. It was arrogant Teddy Roosevelt's fault this silly old racist blundered into the White House.

  • brilliant vidoe

  • Hi Mr Portman, Mrs. Brown here. Remember me from Holgate (LSA)? Have been teaching since 2004 (they even let me teach KS3 History). Wonderful to see you again if only on 'film' and before you ask, YES I am going to show this to my year 9's and tell them this is Mr. Portman, one of the best teachers in the business!!!

  • Great video, could you possibly do another one on the Treaty regarding Austria-Hungary, with special focus on the Kingdom of Hungary? Unfortunately not much information out there on that one - it was more severe and i dare say insane for the central european region in terms of short and long term effects. thanks

  • thank you for this video! Very informative :) I had no idea that the sailors of the German army sunk their fleet rather than handing the ships over! I thought that they gave them to the allies. Thank you again! :D

  • This really helped me out as well! I have to write a huge essay about this treaty, and it was hard to just read about it in a packet so thankyou for making this!

  • @sammyboldt i had to do an essay too xD, but it was in Dutch (Sadly schools in Aruba are pure Dutch), so i had to watch it in English so i can understand it better in Dutch xD, and i got a good score for it >w<

  • Great videos for studying.

  • Thankyou, all your video's really really help "D. I'm really dumb at history and this has really helped me, do you have a video on how the Nazis began to take power?? :)

  • Thanks - this I really helpful. I'm in year 10 and studying GCSE history and I've been a bit clueless so far, this has helped a lot!

  • That was the most retarded treaty ever no wonder that second world war happened

  • @Gameinggames wer we spost 2 be nice to them after they start the biggest war in history

  • @101andrewj I bet you hear a lot of people talking bad about the U.S.A these days right?! Like how they act like the world police and how stupid their war in Iraq is. These people dont understand that a government does not represent every single person in that nation. The same goes for Hilter and the German people. NOt every German was a supporter of HItler many were forced to support him otherwise they would have been shot.

  • @101andrewj The point is you cant judge an entire nation based on its governement. Tons of souldiers got lied to and were indoctrinated with propaganda. For instance the Wehrmacht didnt know anything about the holocausr...the only people that did know about it were the SS. The German population knew that jews were deported form Germany but they didnt know anything about the death camps. Due to world war 1 and the injustice that has been forced upon the german people

  • @101andrewj Hitler was able to rise and was able to use the The Treaty of Versailles to his advantage. The Greedy french nad British have forced this war upodn europe and that is a fact today. The french provoked a war...Germany was not allowed to have an army while the french marched into German territory like it was theirs. This made many germans mad HItler promised to stop this...just one of the many reasons why hitler rose to power.

  • @Gameinggames The treaty of Brest-Litovsk between Germany and the USSR was much harsher than Versailles

  • I liked the way it was done

  • I agree your videos are Brilliant thanks for them they have really helped me. =D

  • Thanks these really help a* here i come lol!
