Had the US endorsed its duty as a world power, and had the Versailles treaty been enforced, Germany would not have rearmed and we would have been spared another WW.

I can't think of a better way to assure another war. The french could have been a better "neighbor", instead they were intent on revenge which only brought about another world war. The US never ratified this treaty.

@101andrewj The point is you cant judge an entire nation based on its governement. Tons of souldiers got lied to and were indoctrinated with propaganda. For instance the Wehrmacht didnt know anything about the holocausr...the only people that did know about it were the SS. The German population knew that jews were deported form Germany but they didnt know anything about the death camps. Due to world war 1 and the injustice that has been forced upon the german people

@101andrewj Hitler was able to rise and was able to use the The Treaty of Versailles to his advantage. The Greedy french nad British have forced this war upodn europe and that is a fact today. The french provoked a war...Germany was not allowed to have an army while the french marched into German territory like it was theirs. This made many germans mad HItler promised to stop this...just one of the many reasons why hitler rose to power.
