  • What happened was that the pilot had WAY TOO MUCH confidence. He needed to understand that this was not a f-16 or f-15 but a huge plane, yet he decides to take a max performance take off with high pitch and yaw maneuvers. There is a point on when a plane such as this size can no longer be in flight when you pitch the plane at a certain angle. This is what the pilot did and made the plane go into a 'free fall' or stall basically. R.I.P.

  • Terrible waste of life and machinery. That there was a critical failure among the entire crew to police themselves is inexcusable, especially in a military operation.

  • how does a plane of that scale take off at such an angle?

  • @superfunnyguy24 high engine thrust,and good engineers

  • Who the flip was flying???

  • FUCK CONSIDERATION

  • สุดยอดเทคโนโลยีทางทหาร

  • SHITa....

  • Nearly identical to B-52 crash at

Fairchild AFB. Too steep of roll through turn. Lost lift (like knife through air). Tragic.

  • Yeah right, They show plane crashes all the time when it's civilians onboard.

  • that`s a huge RC plabe dumbos......

  • @maxin16able I hope you're just trollin and aren't serious.

  • how did it happen

  • Truly a tragic accident that shouldn't have happened. And thank you for cutting the video. Wish more people were as considerate.

  • Хуйня блят! как роз бил??

  • FUCK THIS VIDEO

  • not cool

  • what was the pilot thinking!??!

  • Show them chrashing

  • Sad.....mostly for the co-pilot watching his aircraft commander dig a big hole in the ground by pushing beyond the limits.

  • like it brov loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool :D

  • Video everywhere of fatal incidents, President Kennedy's brains being blown out, beheadings, executions, 9/11, soldiers getting mowed down on D-Day, fatal racing crashes. And somehow this particular plane a mile away crashing is so special it must be withheld?

  • Kamakazi?

  • retard pilot much?

  • and there just happened to be someone there filming it . . . . . really?

  • красиво вниз полетел...

  • Some sort of new nose in high speed landing technology, obviously top secret because they can show it in operation. What will they think of next

  • Im guessing this all ended well but the suspense is killing.

  • I cant believe that thing took off... it looked like he was only going about 50 or 60 mph.

  • That's a very sad tragedy. NEXT TIME, DON'T SHOW IT AT ALL!

  • listen tregino pal............FUCK OFF

  • Their flying a tank like a Ferrari....

  • Who took tha video :|

  • @vikaskarade Not me it was a repost within seconds of release. chk the other videos for interesting and full crash clips

  • @tregino Oh, its ok :D , Thanks for uploading :)

  • That day was for one senior soldier the retirement, all his family was at the show, and he ejected, but too late, the great ball of fire caught him. Maybe the pilot, who they call him a douchebag, maybe, mmm, can you try a Split-S in the high sky, please?

  • try gaining some altitude before you go 90 degrees to the horizon

  • I WANT TO SEE THOSE DUMB FUCKS GET KILLED....

  • @ilikemunting there is something wrong with you.

  • @ZrX1998 why, because i want to see the crash, that's why people go on this video. But instead we get this, and this video gets a huge red lightsaber.

  • @ilikemunting are you ok?

  • @Phughy No, Someone stole my sweet roll.

  • @ilikemunting Great comment, but only as it involves skyrim

  • I CAME HERE FOR THE IMPACT.........CALL ME SICK OR WHATEVER........BUT I BET EVEN THOSE OVER SENSITIVE SOULS WANTED TO SEE IT ASWELL

  • @funkymcmunky fuck you, he didnt show it out of respect for the families

  • @VoltageVII7 fuck the familys and fuck you

  • @funkymcmunky really... you foolish excuse for a homo-sapien

  • this looks like a simulator.

  • Comment removed

  • omg thts terrible.....u could only imagine wat the impact looked like. poor guys. May God rest their souls.

  • this clip could cause more distress to any family members of the crew. But that also applies to the thousands of families who have lost relatives in the thousands of crashes posted

My only question to the person who uploaded this video would be why put the video on You Tube at all? Do you seriously think any of the footage you have uploaded would be any less traumatic to the families ? Trying 2 make out your sooo compassionate, that aircrew would be terrified long before it crashed.RIP aircrew

  • wow you can tell they pulled up too early

  • not much time to react.

  • Too many videos of Air Force pilots putting their crews at risk. I hope something has been done over the years.

On another note, this is the only C-17 ever to be written off....wow

  • Stupid badass crazy fucks, want to see eplosions, you are lucky to get this very good footage, you PENISES

  • I'm no pilot, but those turns didn't strike the crew as being too steeply banked for an aircraft that size?

  • @atjnAdfhhjea The airplane went into an accelerated stall. The bank angle just before the plane went out of control seemed to be 60 degrees or more, at which load factor and stalling speed rises sharply.

An airplane can be stalled at ANY speed, ANY attitude, ANY altitude, ANY weight, ANY configuration and ANY power setting, if the critical angle of attack is exceeded.

This accident may have been avoided if the crew was minding their angle of attack indicator or lift reserve indicator.

  • @maverickdallas100 I'm not saying it was the turn that did it, I just thought you weren't supposed to bank aircraft that large as much as they did.

  • @atjnAdfhhjea Your statement about banking a large aircraft that hard is true, too. Large aircraft, simply because of their sheer mass do not respond to pilot input or corrective measures as quickly as smaller aircraft.

It is for that reason you can't fly a jumbo jet like a fighter plane or drive an 18-wheeler like a sports car!

  • Fuck it, its disgusting when people wants the impact when infact, THE CREW ONBOARD GOT KILLED!

Crashes with impact are only interesting/"funny" if the crew is ok afterwards!

  • @Marcus666Sund i could not agree morre with your good gomment. thaanks

  • @Marcus666Sund Just because the crew died is no reason not to be interested in watching till the end. The September 11th attacks are one example: a massive tragedy caught on film that everyone watched countlessly in the days after, it's not disgusting at all.

  • @Marcus666Sund But you watched it. Did you not. Even when the title said: FATAL ACCIDENT.

Tell us about your morality, your respect to the dead ones, that made you watch this video?

  • @Marcus666Sund That is utterly ridiculous, you must be one of the humps working for the USAF!

  • @Marcus666Sund ok they're definitely not funny but i would argue that they're interesting still. not saying that I disagree with the user's decision not to show the impact though. PEACE

  • @Marcus666Sund a crash is NEVER funny, even if everyone survives it - the people involved suffer trauma for the rest of their lives.

  • @Marcus666Sund If it's so disturbing to you, don't watch the end. It's not like your going to see bodies from 4-5miles away anyway. Just a huge fireball. There's nothing disgusting about it. There are plenty of videos with plenty of graphic content. For example: An Su-27 plowing through a crowd. Blood and dismembered bodies everywhere. Our former President getting his head blown off. Those things would suit your argument much better

  • @Marcus666Sund I totally agree with you my friend. I cannot understand this morbid feeling some people have like seeing other people dying.

  • @Marcus666Sund Don't tell me what I can and can't find interesting. Death is just as much a part of life as anything else. Get over yourself you douche.

  • @Marcus666Sund nope, you're wrong. we can all learn from people's mistakes

  • Tu t'es foutu de ma gueule je déteste ça

  • I have to poop.

  • It never actually crashed

  • very you this man

  • FUCK ISLAM

  • Hey man great video! Why do people want to see the crash anyway? Really? people dieing is not entertainment.

  • Disastrous...sad to see something like that...

  • can someone please tell me why there are no full videos of this crash

  • There's NO point of reposting this video WITHOUT the impact, seriously!

  • @JuggalocodeChile1988 screw you! the crew died! but u are a selfish dumbass who doesnt care so f**k u!

  • Comment removed

  • @JuggalocodeChile1988 well said........you get thumbs up for saying it i get abuse haha

  • @JuggalocodeChile1988 The Military did not release all the footage, the full video wasn't released to the public.

  • Isn't that an RC plane???

  • This looks like a RC plane, the maneuvers are not those of a real plane.

  • @luisdbminc Then you don't know what an R/C plane is either!

  • @luisdbminc Buildings don´t look like R/C

  • I feel sorry for Master Sgt. Cicardo, the loadmaster and Capt.Hill, the extra pilot on board. I have tons of respect for the men and women of the military but this was just wasteful. Almost like Russian roulette with an airplane.

  • Geez . These guys need to respect the physics of flight. Remember B52 guy?same thing. Not an f16

  • There are a lot of bogus comments on here from people who are probably less than qualified to comment on such a topic. Like coblake1, I also witnessed this mishap in person. This particular aircraft was practicing for the upcoming airshow which explains its extreme flight maneuvering. Its flight profile called for 60 degree angle of bank turns which is completely within the capabilities of this airplane. It exceeded 60 degrees AOB and lost vertical lift, causing the crash. Read the report.

  • Dude, did u film this from the BX or the TLF????

  • the takeoff looked a little steep to.

  • Nice try idiot! It's fake never happened. It did a fly by right as this video ended and did a return to a landing.

  • my GOD......that turn was more than 45 degrees,,,,,,this is imposible with any plane,, even for cessna 172......

  • @tonibee99 he didn't have to watch the video to post a comment :]

  • @cun7us You watched it so shut up.

  • This was NOT an airshow?

  • OMG! BEST CRASH EVER! -_-

  • worthless video without the impact

  • I disagree. The comment is quite useful and I agree with it.

  • @JanitorIsBack Are you all Sadistic animals looking to watch people die? Would you like it if people watched your death on youtube over and over for their own pleasure? Perhaps you missed the caption - 'flight has been edited to cut off just prior to the aircraft's impact, out of consideration and respect for the families of the deceased'

  • @cun7us hey moron if I am dead how the hell would I know if people are watching my death

  • @JanitorIsBack You obviously didn't understand my question. Maybe I should rephrase it; if you you were in a plane crash and died, would you want hundreds of thousands of people watching it like a bunch of sick voyeurs? It's not a trick question, simple yes or no will do.

  • @JanitorIsBack worthless soul on youtube.

  • @JanitorIsBack wow thats horrible

  • nice pilot steep turns @ 1000 AGL very pro

  • gotta keep lots of back pressure on the yoke in a steep turn to keep the nose above the horizon and prevent a spiral dive... one of the first things they teach in flight school. Shouldn't have happened... very sad.

  • @Magna292 thanks for the comment , yes veery sad

  • @Magna292 He had to much a bank angle, and the speed got to low. All the pull that plane had, wouldn't have helped him there.

  • @Magna292 The reason they crashed is because he had too much back pressure on! He was stalling, increasing the back pressure only makes things worse. Once the wing had dropped there was no going back, didn't have the altitude to recover. Almost exactly the same as the B-52 accident. Cow boy pilots flying heavies like fighters, its reckless and it cost them their own, and their colleagues lives. Got to roll wings level before you start pulling back or your going to rip the wings off.

  • @jonny96 well said not to mention the millions of dolars of taxpayers money i hate to broing it up but these machines aren't cheap, human cost before financial , but it had to be said in conjunction with the latter part from your comment , well said and thanks for the sensible reaction to this video. Peace

  • @tregino Thanks for posting, even if it is a tragic loss

  • @jonny96 If you watch the nose, it is pointed down. I have a pilots license, so trust me on this one... if he had too much pressure on the yoke the nose would be up, and he'd then be in danger of a power on stall, where the outboard wing stalls first. That is not what i see here just before the crash. Look at the nose at 0:53 seconds

  • @Magna292 Look at my channel mate, I'm a bit more qualified to comment. Heavies handle differently to light aircraft. He was stalling, and had no lift. I've read the report. You can see the roll spoilers fully up on his left wing and he's still rolling right. The unusual attitude recovery for a Jet (boeing anyway) is roll wings level and then pull up, he had no altitude to do that and was doomed as soon as it wing dropped. Very sad and completely avoidable if he'd kept to the limits of the A/C.

  • @jonny96 "Very sad and completely avoidable if he'd kept to the limits of the A/C"

I think that statement would be true for 99% of AC incidents and accidents.

  • @darrindwp What a ridiculous comment, US Airways Flight 1549, Swissair Flight 111, Japan air flight 123, ValuJet Flight 592 etc etc The list is endless. All accidents that were caused by outside influences and had nothing to do with the flight crew or limitations of the aircraft. This Pilot was renowned for being a 'cowboy' and shouldn't have been on the display team.

  • @darrindwp Not true.....most accidents are because pilots are beyond their own limits. Or, more often, are not aware of their situation. The vast majority of airman aren't anywhere near the limits of their machines. If they were they would probably have better experience.

  • @pulsejet1 Many pilots are over-confident and "push the envelope" All aircraft have a set of limitations. Exceed any of them and you have just become a test pilot!

Remember, there are old pilots and bold pilots, but no old bold pilots!

(Except for maybe Chuck Yeager and Bob Hoover)

  • @maverickdallas100 Yes....I agree. Your statement doesn't only pertain to flying but basically everything in the world. My statement was more about the idea that 99% of the accidents would be avoided by staying in the aircraft's limits. Most of the accidents out there occur well within aircraft limits but outside of the pilot's limits. Exceeding aircraft limits usually seems to be a combination of both. In my experience it's very hard to get most people to approach the limits of their machines.

  • @pulsejet1 In a previous post, I mentioned Chuck Yeager and Bob Hoover, probably two of the boldest pilots to live to be old. They pushed their limits to the very edge of their machines' limits---and then some!

They did what was previously thought impossible, and weren't afraid of what might happen if something went wrong.

In today's environment, such practices would likely be discouraged.

We will likely never see a return of that daredevil, pioneering spirit we witnessed in the 1940's-60's.

  • Similar to the b-52 crash at Fairchild in 94

  • @mrdlorencesful What do u suggest my friend ?

...............By the way Whilst your opinion is considered i will decline to take any advice ... Thankyou for the Time you wasted posting your comment. I clean toilets for a living so anytime not doing that is fun time for me and replying to your comment with this long essay was my a pleasurefor this evening. (Not aimed Directly at you But in general to all readers of this comment )

  • @C4P1T4L15M I know right arent i awesome .... Take a chill Pill or are you just another donkey raping shiteater?

  • Hey we needed those 185 million to fix the bridges in my deficit mess up State and you gave all that to this arrogant ahol pilot?

  • change the title at least!

  • as soon as he took of i knew straight away he was ascending too much. the pilot probly got used to smaller plane before flight i mean you can see the plane struggling to climb and the pilots trying to throw it about like its an f-22 or sumthing, they should stop giving out pilots licenses to every tom, dick and harry thats played microsoft flight simulater

  • Pilots who fly like this are the dumbest assholes around. Absolutely no respect for human life. They only give a shit about their own rush of excitement.

    .

  • I am reading a lot of comments on here about his flying skills. I was in the Air Force for 12 years and I was a Crew Chief on the C-17. Sure the pilot was reckless with his flying but they were training for the upcoming Air Show at the Base. These people lost their lives and it is so disrespectful for the way some of these comments come off. Trust me I have seen 2 plane crashes up front close and personal and it nothing spectacular or awesome about it. You get that sinking feeling in your chest

  • ...you get that sinking feeling in your chest and you can't help but wonder what is going to happen next. GOD BLESS all of them and their families.

  • @savinpar007 thanks for a well worded and composed comment .

  • I figured they would have learned their lesson after that B52 crash awhile back. Large aircraft dont make sharp turns well. Stop trying people.

  • Folks, please buy Japanese-made products 'cause they're better quality...Unlike this flying coffin crap flown by some "back-wood skypilots" in this video---EVEN THIS VIDEO IS CRAP...Thanks for taking my money, assholes!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Well, I guess we could say....RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP. we really don't know how many died do we?

  • why did you cut it before the good bit? asshole.

  • @bustaphatty Who you calling asshole, asshole, i posted what footage i had, And i didn't film it it so (a) Back the fuck Up and (b) Use your Stoners imagination to think how horrific it was or (c) look at my other videos where there are lots of crashes and death

  • @bustaphatty and (D) Learn some manners

  • @bustaphatty You have no soul.

  • Comment removed

  • So this is essentially footage of a plane taking off and doing some turns. Wow. If the relatives don't want to watch the impact, DON'T WATCH THE IMPACT. But let the rest of us see it.

  • How did it happen?

  • @varunm100 i think it came as free gift inside his cereal box

  • You know what this video also demonstrates? It shows that the C-17 is one remarkably maneuverable large plane :D

  • I love how the USAF calls 'em 'mishaps'

  • I don't understand what happened: it looks as if the controls froze in the right turn. It's very strange since that was not really a lethal situation as far as I can tell...

  • Sorry to hear about the people who died, I do not understand why the pilot was flying so dangerously though?

  • Dont bother watching this video as it is incomplete, no crash

  • @archon808 READ THE TITLE.....................

  • @Bandsaw000o0 You shouldn't be talking you scum fucking piece of shit. This pilot was practicing for the Airshow that was to come. He stalled after that last turn. You just made your self look like a asshole. Oh wait, you always where!

  • ....Why do you people even want to see others die!? I am glad they edited it out.

  • I watched this happen in person, standing on Blue ramp. My condolences to the families. While this video may be entertaining to many, the actual impact was the most horrific thing I have ever seen.

  • @coblake1 Good Comment sir.

  • @coblake1

    Well written ...

  • @coblake1 Do you know why it happend?

  • @coblake1

Yea, yea, yea and in the backround plays "Spirit In the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum.

  • there must have been a catastrophic mechanical failure due to the high roll rates that made the aircraft unrecoverable. i feel bad for the familys and the crew. I lived by both Bases for 40 years and never seen any aircraft being hotdogged like this.

  • The crash isn't anything unexpected or unimaginable. It's just a big fireball similar to the B-52 crash at Fairchild AFB.
