  • where can you watch the rest of this?

  • Now I think John Cleese would do a better Blackadder than Rowan Atkinson.

  • hmm obviously ben doesnt know that england is a country not a home town

  • Sorry to say, but him minus the Python group..he's still very funny.

  • 10 DISLIKES??? WTF?? How can that happen??

  • I am a Canadian fan of the marvelous Mr. Cleese and I would like to thank him immensely for his gift of allowing me to witness him (fake) murder Ben Mulroney. I nearly stood up and clapped!!

  • what a cleese-chie

  • Cleese looks inbred and retarded! Benny Hill considered funnier than Monty Python by two TV stations (WOR and WLVI)! I agree!

  • @Bestmanme08 If you dont like Python and if you are just interested in compare them to other comediants, that in fact dont have nothing to do with the type of humor they make, dont watch. -.-

  • @Bestmanme08 If you dont like Python and if you are just interested in compare them to other comediants, that in fact dont have nothing to do with the type of humor that Python make, dont watch. -.-

  • And now something for the Canadians. "And what is that John?" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"

  • Shame that his gift didn't last. If I ever get a chance to meet him, I'll have to ask him to finish the job.

  • cleese is eternal

  • thank god Ben hasnt taken up brians legacy of becoming Primeminister now that would be scary

  • I watched you live at this show! XD

I also sat right in front of Colin Mochrie!

  • @zerotankor: Hilarious. It was an amazing night right? A highlight for me was watching Drew Carey approach John Cleese backstage like an anxious fanboy. Good times.

  • BEST ACT EVER!!!

  • Canada thanks you for that wonderful gift

  • On behalf of all Canadians, thank you John Cleese for finally taking care of a Mulrooney in a way we could never seem to!!

  • finally I've been waiting for six years for that demon seed of Mulrooney to get what he deserved

  • *sniff*...I love you too John. Thanks for getting rid of that eyesore.

  • To have a real cleese imitator, he would have to be really pissed off (or slim and constipated).

You can' t just smile .. you have to BE the old Cheese.

  • oh bugger off back into obscurity :D

  • please ben, no eye contact...

  • that is the best gift i could ever ask for... i dislike ben mulroney something fierce. although not as much as i dislike his parents.

  • The second contestant (silly walk).

  • Awesome

  • umm could someone tell who this host was? Cleese said he's adored all around the world but I don't remember seeing him anywhere

  • Host of Canadian Idol and the son of a former Canadian Prime Minister... So really just well known in Canada.. maybe not so much adored.. but at least known.

  • Sarcasm. It's part of his acts, remember.

  • hehe yeah..:D

  • @ebag10 Your even luckier not to have known his father.

  • I caught this on Comedy just at the end of your silly walks, Jason - brilliant, the whole thing.

"I'm British, Ben, mean judging is all we do..."

  • just love it xD

  • I!!! *bang*

  • Lay off Ben. The "hometown of England" line was *written* for him. He was a good sport about it - and he is a nice guy. I know. I was there. I'm "pining for the fjords" guy.

  • when was this?

  • 2006

  • oh.

  • WOOOW, I always loved this episode and was kind of wondering who the contestants were, and I come to this video and I see that YOU WERE JASON WHITING That's some serious awesomeness right there, it's kind of an honor to meet you, someone who was at Just For Laughs and MET John Cleese. What was the experience like?

  • BRILLIANT!

Caught this on JFL by accident, couldn't stop laughing.

  • I was just watching just for laughs and I saw this and laughed so much

  • Wish that was real. Mulroney is a joke

  • LOVED IT

  • Wow! Wish he capped Ben's dad too, while he was at it!

  • Replace Simon Cowell with this man. Do it now, America.

  • Hell yeah, I'd watch that!

  • @wickedfeylady

But no one would ever get to the second stage.

.....Yes, I agree. Replace Cleese with Cowell

  • The Cleesenator!!!!!!!!

  • BANG!

  • NO! CAPTAIN WHAT?

  • I...! BANG!

  • John cleese is crasy awsome and you did a good job too

  • f*****g hilarious!!

  • Thank you, John Cleese!

  • "do you have any idea... how much i hate you?'

  • Mulrooney said: "HomeTOWN of ENGLAND"....hmmm

  • This is bloody hilarious XD

  • He's not bein' serious, man! :)

  • He's british DeadJerker, being mean-spirited is all they do now a days.

  • is that douche in the white jacket like a canadian ryan seacrest?

  • Yes...and on top of that he's the son of ex prime minister mulrooney

  • @goobernutz Yes, we hate him even more though, because we got our hopes up after we saw that shot. Well, always next time.

  • You realize of course that this is one of the few good Canadian television shows! Just wanted to say that cause I dont get much of a chance to say that Canadian television is good... anyways, very funny!

  • It's always refreshing to see Brits being RUDE on American TV Simon Cowell and now Cleese although this is obviously an act. A very funny one though.

  • "even my proctologist greats me with a silly walk" classic ...

    :)))

  • oh dear, he isnt any of old John Cleese we used to see.... shame

  • i would also like to add Mr. Whitting sir, you are good

  • John Cleese is full of himself. He is the reason Monty Python ended so soon

  • maybe so, but he was the top if not one of the two most well knows Pythons for a reason.

  • yes, he was good at fixing the sketches to the parrot scech started out as returning a toaster.

  • Yeah... we'll all miss Monty Python... except those who won't.

  • yeah it is an aquired taste lol.

  • Eh, I suppose. British humor is just so different to America.

  • i guess so my father thinks its insane

  • Not insane, but they can be sometimes I suppose.

  • o yes definatly, but you know it just dosnt appel to those no nonsense type of people. I'm nothing but nonsense lol

  • In my book, Monty Python is just complete utter nonsense which is why we all love it! Just think about it: Lumberjack song, Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook, "Man with a tape recorder up his nose" there's nothing Monty Python-made that has any bit of sense in it. It's what made them GODS of comedy

  • For sure lol all those you have mentioned are my favorites, "Now a man with a recorder up his brother's nose" lol. But yes they have set the scene for all comediens however none can compare

  • For sure!

  • Him and Palin ... for sure!!!

  • He is in no way full of himself, he is simply using his ego as a comedic tool of course. Monty Python only broke up because most of the actors such as Cleese and Palin all wanted to pursue more of a solo career, and it wasn't solely his fault. John Cleese was the best of Python next to Idle, and Chapman.

  • I agree he was the best the season after he left just wasnt as good that is all I ment, he added a great halarity to the show.

  • DUDE!! wheres the rest?!!

  • WHO'S HE INTRODUCING?!

  • please no eye contact

  • "stampeding for a refund" ;) I have met Cleese myself..cool guy. Thanks for sharing

  • Lucky.

  • wow man, you were really silly :)) My respect, to get on a stage with a legend, that's something one simply has to envy and congratulate you for...

  • "I *gets shot*"

    "What's that? *get's shot*"

  • you sack of puss HAHA!!

  • Gotta love this guy...

  • is that host of cleese idol the host of moment of truth?

  • Poor Ben. Oh well, atleast Cleese "went out with a bang"

  • I think I could spend the rest of my life watching Cleese insulting and shooting people, I love him

  • Cleese is just awesome ! I love him ^^

But just one question..The first contestant who comes on the show seemed like he was truly surprised...Was this staged or did John really mean to send him off like that?..

  • All staged.

  • @JRMWhitingTube So who were you on this?

  • @Swampert384 I'm the silly walker.

  • @JRMWhitingTube That was the first part I ever saw. It was hilarious. Good job.

  • I'm the silly walker.

  • That was me! And it was rehearsed and staged for days. What a great guy Cleese is, in person and what THRILL to do the Dead Parrot sketch with him. (I also played a mountie in the lumberjack song when Eric Idle played the festival)

  • john cleese is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good walk. LOL! Why they ever picked Clay Aiken for Spamalot, one can only wonder.

  • XD funny

  • omg that was absolutely hysterical!! i wonder who he was going to present though.....it cuts off just as he says captain!!!

  • Captain Frodo, I believe. An absolutely brilliant contortionist with an amazing outlook on life.

  • Cleese is ridiculously hilarious!!

    Cleese has CHARISMA!!!!

  • dude u are so lucky john cleese is righteously awesome. Good silly walk too! i hope to one day create my own silly walk

  • this is so funny! i love john cleese!

  • hahaha

  • rofl at 5:04 ! ! ! !

  • why can't he come to America and do the same to Ryan Seacrest, that smarmy metrosexual bastard.

Ben Mulrooney's a good sport though, i'll give him that.

  • Oh, well that would be because he does not quite care for the Americans.

  • You are cute. It's good to be cute for an actor, isn't it? ;)

  • It's in Cleese's act to hate you and your performance. He is a really nice man in real life and probobly thought of this sketch as funny. And the rest of us probobly don't even get to meet Cleese as you have. So good for you man! Nice silly walk!

  • Hi Starr,

The *whole* thing was an act. I'm not a software analyst from Westmount. I'm a comedic actor. I worked with John Cleese for several days prior to this performance.

    Thanks for the compliment!

    j.

  • Wow your worhty enough to have John Cleese hate you...he doesn't even know who the rest of us are.

  • rofl.

"Before we go, there's one thing I'd like to do on as a special gift for all my wonderful Canadian fans..."

    "Whatsat?"-BANG

  • Wow, at first i couldn't understand why Cleese would lower himself to be on the same stage as Mulroney.

    Cleese is a genius.

    Mulroney "hometown of England"-fuck i can't stand that son-of-a-traitor

  • When Cleese shot the viking, some delicious I.P.A shot out of my nose. Brilliant!

  • ...in addition to being funny, of course.

  • This is worth it just to see Ben Mulroney get shot.

  • hey Jason... at least u got to do a "full performance"

  • I...

  • Excellent funny walk,..but what was with the tap dancing? lol

  • (What tap dancing...?)

  • 03:51

  • That's not tap dancing.

  • I love the shot at Ben Mulroney.

  • I. LOVE. CLEESE. There can only be one...

(you said you performed; who are you in the sketch?)

  • I'm Jason Whiting.

  • You are one lucky fellow, Jason!; being hated by John Cleese! At least he knows you exist! That's more then I can say..lol Except from on the scene, how was he?

  • brilliant

  • he's mean... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.............

  • which one are you?

  • SEE! GUNS CAN BE FUNNY!

  • wow u met him..im jealous..is he a nice person..u did well, honestly u did really really well x

  • There will never be another John Cleese! Woohoo!

  • haha that's great. i think ur walk was quite funny actually :)

  • I enjoyed that more than sex.

  • Have you've been having sex with a wolverine?

  • John does a great Simon!! Only more...pythonish

  • Bloody awesome, especially shooting Ben Mulroney! Can't stand him at all.

  • This man is a comic legend and should be rewarded in many ways for it

  • My hometown's England too :P

  • See, he can still be funny. He should really do a new Python movie with the other four guys.

  • Thanks man. Keep up the funny. J.
