@kero7642 cuz in Japan kendo is a man's sport and naginata is a woman's sport. My kendo sensei says that in samurai times the Naginata was a weapon forgoten in battlefields, so the samurai's weman used that to defend the home.

@MatheusRebelo yes, and the reason they used naginata was because its "longer" ( to compensate strenght and heigh from women) and easier to learn.
