  • This is way too expensive.

  • Health Insurance is expensive because the hospitals and doctors offices can charge whatever they want. The doctors being in charge (most of them, there are some decent ones out there that cannot lower b/c of what they get charged) are why we are in this mess to begin with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sure that forcing everyone to buy health insurance will make the insurance companies go broke! I'm sure your deal with the drug companies will reduce their profits! The only problem with the health care bill is that it assumes Americans are just plain stupid!

    Tim - YOU'RE A MORON!

  • @MsWanderer1 Forcing people? You get fined for not having insurance if you don't fall under one of these categories:

    1. If you're an individual who akes between $43,500 a year to 200 grand a year, this bill doesn't add taxes for you(sorry not really escaping fine). 2. If you are currently unemployed(federal status), 3. If you are employed with a company 4. If you are an employer

Limits who will be forced a lot eh? And those who will actually like it. It's not tyranny if people approve.

  • @wiimoode;

    My comments were sarcasm!

Most of what you list makes the bill unconstitutional.

The biggest problem with the bill is all the crap that has nothing to do with health care that is in it. Our congressional representatives were elected to represent their district. Both democrats and republicans should vote according to their district's wishes; NOT according to their party's agenda.

  • @MsWanderer1 How unconstitutional? The governemt's job is to protect the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That means that everyone in the US has a chance of doing what they want and following their dreams. It's a good point, congressmen shouldn't vote on what's on your party's agenda. When people elect representatives, they expect them to make good decisions not play as a pawn for their party.

  • wonder how many coporations he had to suck the cock of to buy that suit.

  • Take your health care bill and shove it. I live in IL. I'm f---ing retarded--and I vote.

  • We have way too many CORPORATE WHORES in Congress and they are turning around and screwing us.

  • this reminds me of how the brier patch rabbit (insurance company) was begging and begging for him not to be thrown in the brier patch(30m new customers). Lets just hope Americans catch this before its too late.

Don't pass this insurance giveaway because u plan on amending it late cos it wont happen after the beating coming this Nov. Fix it now or DON'T pass it at all

  • exactly. They are in bed together and are making ALOT of money by raising the cost so the insurance companies continue to make profit after they slide the envelope of money to the republican across the table.

Change cant come unless people change and THOSE REPUBLICANS AND SOME DEMOCRATS GUILTY OF THE SAME THING will not.

exercise, eat right and take care of yourself so you wont need healthcare. Lets see what they do when healthy people dont use it.

  • go to hell you NEW WORLD ORDER SHILL! you know what you are doing, you are a traitor! the insurance companies want this passed! YOU ARE A PUBLIC SERVENT AS IS ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICALS! START ACTING LIKE IT!

  • We must have THE PUBLIC OPTION to bring down costs.

  • The biggest insurance company in the world is the federal government its called MEDICARE. Medicare turns down more coverage than any insurance company . Try about 17% of all claims are turned down. Its also bankrupt. This ass hole wants to destroy health care. This will be the biggest bureaucracy the country has ever seen. Hiring more union employees and government workers to drain our economy and build the democRAT party. This is about power not health care. If this passes don't get sick!!!!!

  • What about Democrats'inactions that are costing US Billions!

8 Million illegals are working at the expense of 14+ million unemployed and legal citizens!

Add in Obama admitting that illegals go to the E.R. and we pay for them, add that to massive unemployment, Obama, Kaine, Shumer (who said in a WSJ piece that "If you say they can't(illegals) get a job when they come here, you'll stop it.") and other Democrats that still do not mandate much-needed employment verification? We need our jobs!!

  • Who is the blame for higher health care cost, massive jobs loss and individuals, families and states' financial burdens? Government inactions/failures which should be "done" and save US Billions!!

We are forced to pay illegals health care at our E.R. as Obama admitted to a few months ago, we are forced to compete with illegals for much-needed jobs, they have 8 Million of OUR jobs, we are forced to educate illegals children and we are forced to financially support illegals children born here!

  • Go to hell, Mr Kane. Nobody wants this shitty bill passed. Stop blaming the GOP for all your problems. You don't think we realize you're all in bed with the insurance lobbyists? Obama is the biggest bitch of all. He never even wanted the public option and he certainly displayed no leadership to fight for it. All you sell-outs have done is create the ultimate GOP bill even knowing that the GOP won't give you a single vote. Well, now you lost progressives too, and believe me, we're coming for you!

  • Obama admitted a few months ago that "illegals go to the E.R. and we pay for them", so if you add that to massive unemployment and the fact that 8 Million illegals are working much-needed jobs-Obama and the Democratic majority are forcing US to pay more for health insurance and allowing illegals to steal much-needed jobs!!

  • Tim Kaine is a joke. He's a corporatist sellout and a nightmare for the DNCs future.

America is sick of corporatists, and we want the Public Option. The Senate bill is a give-away to the insurance companies.

Go with the House bill and we're actually changing the system a bit. America needs REAL change, not more corporatist selling out, a la Tim Kaine.

  • Ummmmm are we looking at the same issue? Why has a year passed since this started? Gov. Kaine, it isn't because the Republicans wouldn't work with the Democrats. Remember, when this started the Democrats had super majorities in BOTH houses (257 in the House and 60 in the Senate). Don't forget that, if they could have come together and agreed amongst themselves, NO ONE could have stopped it.

QUIT LYING! It isn't the Republicans fault the Democrats couldn't (and still can't) agree.
