@Frankieman1 I have had all my major work ( other than little things I did myself), done by Carolina Auto Masters of Durham, NC. Jeff is amazing with tuning these cars and the mechanics do great work. Since you already live in Durham, they're on Elizabeth street, basically behind the Hendrick Chevy dealership. In house dyno as well. If it tells you anything about how much I trust them, I drove almost two hours both directions to have them work on my cars.

@Frankieman1 , hey, thanks for the compliments, the vette actually ran a best of 11.19 in the pass time video uploaded here as well. My vette was an LS2, the one you have is an LS3 , which is a little more powerful to start with, so you have a good start already. I'd start with cold air intake, headers, exhaust, tune and sticky tires. If you need to keep it under warranty, just do the cai, cat back exhaust and sticky tires.
I believe the challenger kept his car in reverse. Also he/she would have lost anyway due to the fact he hit accelerate to late. Was that challenger a first timer? He went past the line at the beginning. I would be embarrassed.
Got one of those Jeeps, haven't been able to race myself yet, lol. They're quick, though, not alot of top end. 1.7 or better 60fts bone stock is really inpressive, though. I ran mid 12's in mine.
I love both cars so I don't know what to say. They are really 2 different types of cars, and really are not in the same category imo. The Corvette is a pure race track car, it does everything well. The Challenger is a street cruiser that embodies the good ole days when cars looked freaking mean. Anyways, nice run man. I would like to see it against an SRT8 but you would probably still beat it. Challengers are much heavier. Try racing an SRT8 Grand Cherokee, would like to see that.
It was a Challenger 5.7 RT, fwiw, and it was a "vs" since we ran against each other. For all I knew, he may have had n2o, a supercharger, or turbo system. This wasn't the case, but in heads up racing, it's all you vs. them with whatever you brung.

I think the car with the best chance of keeping up with the vette would be the new mustang, it's light enough but it just doesn't have quite the amount of power needed to keep going. Love Dodge for the Challengers, Ford For the Mustangs, and Chevy for the Corvettes. Screw the camaros though, the only people I know that like the camaros are ass hole chevy fan boy shit talkers.

Considering Vette and Viper are in the top 3 fastest times in the 1/4 mile of a vehicle in production right now, both the Viper and Z06 running mid 10s, don't believe me do your research. The Viper has the best "Ring" time and slalom time then any other car, an the Vette isn't far behind.

The Challenger is a street cruiser that embodies the good ole days when cars looked freaking mean. Anyways, nice run man. I would like to see it against an SRT8 but you would probably still beat it. Challengers are much heavier. Try racing an SRT8 Grand Cherokee, would like to see that.

It was a Challenger 5.7 RT, fwiw, and it was a "vs" since we ran against each other. For all I knew, he may have had n2o, a supercharger, or turbo system. This wasn't the case, but in heads up racing, it's all you vs. them with whatever you brung.

I think the car with the best chance of keeping up with the vette would be the new mustang, it's light enough but it just doesn't have quite the amount of power needed to keep going. Love Dodge for the Challengers, Ford For the Mustangs, and Chevy for the Corvettes. Screw the camaros though, the only people I know that like the camaros are ass hole chevy fan boy shit talkers.

I love both cars, but maann, taking an R/T to the strip against any C6 Corvette is like taking a knife to a gun fight lol, the R/Ts are a HELL of a lot of fun to mess around with on back roads, maybe even the best car for that scenario, but in a real performance setting they totally crumble, even the SRTs have trouble standing up, they gotta compete with cars $10k cheaper at least to make it look fair

yes, I went through the R/T classic phase.... they are absolutely beautiful and i was one of those to think that the $10,000 savings from the SRT can go into supercharging the R/t and making it stupid fast.... but then i realized that the SRT is built for speed, brembo brakes, the viper's tremec transmission... and of course, there's no replacement for displacement. lol

ich schätze mal dass so ein alter HEMI schnell mal 50L schlucken würde mit einer kurzen übersetzung.
notwendig ist eine kurze übersetzung nicht bei solchen hubraum-monstern
je mehr hubraum, desto mehr Nm/kraft (vorallem bei niedrigen drehzahlen). je länger die übersetzung, desto langsamer kann ein motor hochdrehen-und das ist der springende punkt. da großvolümige V8 motoren viel kraft bei niedrigen drehzahlen produzieren,beschleunigen sie in der regel mit einer langen übersetzung schneller

I'm thinking about either c6 or 335. 335 is a VERY nice car. it has a very good engine, high quality interior and class. vettes, well vettes are just fast :) 335 with a chip is about the same as a stock c6, but now we are not talking about stock. c6 with headers and manifold is low12's, where bmw with a chip is high 12's (if that, seen 135 and two 335 with CAI's and chips that barely hit 13.4).

Considering Vette and Viper are in the top 3 fastest times in the 1/4 mile of a vehicle in production right now, both the Viper and Z06 running mid 10s, don't believe me do your research. The Viper has the best "Ring" time and slalom time then any other car, an the Vette isn't far behind.

bmw has nothing to compete with viper and corvette ESPECIALLY ON A TRACK.
Both the viper and corvette zr1 run 7:22 times on the nurburgring and in a 1/4 mile race is fucking laughable. bmw is not making any car that can get under 8 minutes on the ring or break 12 seconds in a 1/4 mile race. BMW is all marketing bull shit with nothing to back it up. A good blend of luxury and mild performance but they are not even close to a real performance car.
