Sometimes when I've played it recently they still give me goosebumps, but not so much that I won't stop playing. Good that you finally beat it though!
The music that plays in the Hps[ital is MUCH more impacting when it is played at a later encounter, my favorite moment in the game, when you....meet an old friend
Ocarina of Time was a good game, but I always liked LttP better. I shouldn't have used a guide for OoT, though-- ruined the whole experience for me. At least I learned my lesson, and I'll never do that again, though.

-I didn't care of OoT. Dislike the lack of a controllable jump. I actually got pretty far before it just pissed me off though.
-Doc I thought would be good for awhile, but then I found better. If I recall he is a dart throwing type, and I personally like a certain black innate dart thrower that joins up, MUCH later. His elements I guess are handy and you can make him the more dedicated healer if you wished I guess.
I only laughed cause you started to tell me to laugh...my grandma used to do that to us. It's alright though...I still haven't completely beaten FFVIII...every single time I get far in that game something bad happens, my memory cards get lost, broken, the disc freezes in the same spot, and the last time my freaking Playstation broke and well since I had to use back-ups since my originals died I'm screwed...ah well...
But no, I can understand your struggles with analog controls. I got over most of those struggles long ago, but I still remember them, granted I STILL have those struggles when it comes to first person shooters (not really my preferred style of game anyway).
I encourage you to keep striving forth don't let analog controls defeat you HCBailly! Don't let yourself miss out on video game awesome!

You're playing some of my favorites..Chrono Cross, OoT, and Majora's Mask. I am jealous that you're playing OoT/MM for the first time, some of the best ever made in my opinion. I enjoy your Let's Plays by the way, you are very entertaining to watch.
Yeah, my brother and I were able to do it without a strategy guide too. I mean, how hard can it be when there are only a handful of places you can even go at the time? (when you DO choose to save Kid, that is, and thus don't have access to the boat yet--and this is the much more intuitive approach and the one that most first-time players choose, I imagine).
I just realized... NeoFio's "accent" thing only exists in text. If you were to hear him (her? I forget) talking, he'd sound totally normal. Way to go, Square!

I think I threw the n64 controller about 1000 times cuz of thattemple.. Got fed up for years and yearssssss and said fuck it.. I fully beat OOT ON MY OWN only 1 year ago I'd say.. Amazing game.
alot of people have trouble with the water temple. i did the first time after that i could beat it easily. i always had trouble with the forest temple tho.
Leena was with him? Iunno.. He got hit by a wave... He was with poshul and leena.. They said Serge died when he was young from water right? meaning he drowned, which kinda symbolizes the whole water wave hitting him, and him going...forward in time? So my guess is... somehow you were in the past, where you weren't dead, then u went in the future and u were dead cuz you were hit by the waves, but you teleported before it hit you..

Well... it took me 12 years to beat the Game Boy version of Speedy Gonzales... and that's because of poor controls, poor level design, and cheap deaths. And figuring out the passwords for later worlds, because two of the worlds had a glitch in them that prevented me from advancing at one point.
i beat OoT and later went back to beat A Link to the Past.... OoT is basically a 3D version of it. Mainly what you do, get 3 relics, achieve the master sword, do some more dungeons so people will help you get to ganon, defeat ganon, save zelda and the triforce, WIN.
It is kind of weird for Kid to have different hair color between when she ties her hair up and when she isn't (with this ep., I saw the color clearly).
I won't laugh at you. I'm glad you haven't been tainted by the disease that is OoT fandom.
You're on episode 35, but at 10 minutes per episode, that means you only have done about 6 hours of game-time. But the game shows 9 hours of game-time.. Wow, you've already cut out 1/3rd of your full game time, which is all battles. Wow.
The problem for me to use Doc is the mandatory presence of Serge in the team. I rarely go with two characters of the same innate because of some elements near to the end of the game that I'll not spoiler :D
I´m with you there, I´ve always considered Majora´s mask to be way better than OoT.
Anyway, congrats on completing the game, I hope you liked the game, and maybe you will sometime make an LP of it, if you ever get used to the analgo stick, that is xD.
I'm about an hour into MM now, and I like it so far. The controls seem smoother to me, though maybe it's because I've gotten more experience in OOT. It's funny playing a game that's a direct sequel like that, instead of CC.
MM in my opinion is far better than OoT in just about every way. But that's probably just me. You savour that game HCBailly, it's one of the greatest of all time.
Hey, taking 11 years to beat the game is still better than not playing that masterpiece at all! For the record, I'm not good at analog controls either. When I play games on my PC, my controller lets me use the d-pad or the analog sticks, and I almost always choose the d-pad.
Nah, the music when you think Kid is dead doesn't really do it for me either.
Now, when it plays during two other boss fights, THAT'S when it gets to me.

I can handle an analog controller pretty well. However a lot of controllers now have TWO analog sticks. My hands just can get used to that...

Well... it took me 12 years to beat the Game Boy version of Speedy Gonzales... and that's because of poor controls, poor level design, and cheap deaths. And figuring out the passwords for later worlds, because two of the worlds had a glitch in them that prevented me from advancing at one point.

I didn't laugh cos it took you 11 years to Ocarina of Time because 2 years ago I did my first playthrough of the game.
I was more of a PS1 kid back in the 32-bit days never really owned an N64.
Fantastic game though, easily in my top 10 of favourite games of all time.

i beat OoT and later went back to beat A Link to the Past.... OoT is basically a 3D version of it. Mainly what you do, get 3 relics, achieve the master sword, do some more dungeons so people will help you get to ganon, defeat ganon, save zelda and the triforce, WIN.
I love them both but damn... lol

I won't laugh at you. I'm glad you haven't been tainted by the disease that is OoT fandom.
You're on episode 35, but at 10 minutes per episode, that means you only have done about 6 hours of game-time. But the game shows 9 hours of game-time.. Wow, you've already cut out 1/3rd of your full game time, which is all battles. Wow.

The problem for me to use Doc is the mandatory presence of Serge in the team. I rarely go with two characters of the same innate because of some elements near to the end of the game that I'll not spoiler :D

I´m with you there, I´ve always considered Majora´s mask to be way better than OoT.
Anyway, congrats on completing the game, I hope you liked the game, and maybe you will sometime make an LP of it, if you ever get used to the analgo stick, that is xD.

I'm about an hour into MM now, and I like it so far. The controls seem smoother to me, though maybe it's because I've gotten more experience in OOT. It's funny playing a game that's a direct sequel like that, instead of CC.

Hey, taking 11 years to beat the game is still better than not playing that masterpiece at all! For the record, I'm not good at analog controls either. When I play games on my PC, my controller lets me use the d-pad or the analog sticks, and I almost always choose the d-pad.
