  • not anymore. the eflite blade mcx is going to be smaller than that

  • Well, it is already out, but look how long its taken to get to this point from the time I made that heli and the MCX is coaxial not the standard single main rotor heli, larger and heavier too. Coaxials are a lot less challenging to design. But even the MCX flies a lot better with some mods. Check out my other video of it with MIA Upgrades.

  • coool!! realli mice m8 but how long did that take to make i would not mind sum helping making one of my own :) m not as brainy as u m8

  • If you made that yourself I am impressed.

But its not the worlds smallest helicopter.

Because my dad has one about 2 inchs and its SOOO FUN to play with.

  • well it was the smallest at the time I posted and 4 channels too, yes I made that myself.

I am happy for your dad if was able to make one 2 inches, takes some skill when you start to make them really small. Have you seen my avatar? Taat one is 1.5" was done a few years back and it flies too.

  • the last portion of the clip finally put it in scale for me, sorry, they look about the same size and your's looks like it has a functional boom, cool!

  • I mean no offence but the 4ch Walkera 5#6 looks smaller.

  • i hope you start selling your helicopters they lookk amazing

  • Do you think a Collective pitch heli , the same size is possible for inverted a 3D flight ????

  • Absolutely!, Anything is possible with current technology, in comparison to 7 years ago which was quite a challenge.

  • Hi there, please tell us the Name of this Song - its great like that heli !

  • ok thanks.

  • Alright then can you tell me what the other 2 channels are for?

  • ch1 pitch

    ch2 roll

    ch3 throttle

    ch4 rudder

  • is it really a 4ch where is the Swash plate all i could see was a hollow whole right above the rotor gear.

  • Yes it is 4 channel controlled. Note that a helicopter need not have a typical mechanical swashplate to be four channel controlled. There are other means to effect 4 channel control.

  • I want to use the rotors and IR system of a PicooZ for a four channel micro heli. I would need some kind of servo or similar electromagnetic control, right? Do you know where I could find such servos that are small and light enough? And recources for how to hook up the IR control to it?

    Thanks!

  • plz somebody reply the name of this song...? i m dying 4 it

  • what is the name of the song ???

  • nice!

  • several years ago, I built a very tiny, less than 2 inches flying helicopter from my free MIA Palm-Size (TM)helicopter plans that I placed on RC Groups' Free FLIGHT section, around same time. Visit triple w dot micro-flight dot com for more.

  • WHOO! I thought it was 2ft long, 'til half way through! Shame about the IR though: how long 'til they are RC, with RC cameras on?

IANAL, but "palm sized" (with any punct/caps) fails as a TM. It's a "descriptive" term, and you not only don't "defend" it, you publicly advocate using it as a non-TM classification name, saying things like:

"perhaps there should be a... Palm size Heli Section"

and "I have chosen 'Palm Size', as the most logical name designation"

  • This helicopter has also been equipped with a custom made Radio Frequency equipment, the tradeoff of being slightly heavier.

  • Then that's EVEN MORE awesomecake!

  • A result of this groundwork and the personal interest of some individuals, toys like the PiccoZ resulted in a saleable item. I am sure as of this posting and because technology has evolved to some very obtainbale and cost effective tiny lightweight components, it will not be far before we see a full 4 channel helicopter like this ultry tiny MIA Palm-Size (TM) full 4 channel Control heli I am flying, for sale.

  • were do you get one of those mia palm size helies i really want one

  • At the time I designed and built this helicopter, and currently, you will not be able to find one similar one, because no one has created one for sale yet.

  • Most of the ones that are similar with full control like the one I am flying in tis video, were developed originally by MIA Micro-FLIGHT. I did much of the groundwork and established a specification for size and type of control (IR in particular) to make one feasiblle and cost effective for production, in earlier 2000's under forum threads in RC Groups with the title MIA Palm-Size (TM) helicopters.
