upgrade to official 40 system update, copy the contents of the exploit called "bannerbomb" into your private folder, get the "hackmii" package containing bootmii and the actual homebrew channel! (this is packed to a boot.dol which must be copied to the sd card root)
make sure your sd card is fat/ fat16/ fat32 and you do not have any other games already copied to your private folder!
then simply go to menu>manage>channels and it will load up . Do it that way and not through the main menu!
