  • @Prairiegirl5150 Thanks for your kind words. I once worked on towboats with a Canadian from the windswept prairies of Alberta, and we became close friends. I feel nothing but friendship towards your country.

    ur guitar look CooooooooooooooL

  • I've watched some of your videos, and you play very well, and I really enjoy your creative choices, but what about the ski mask? Thanks for sharing.

  • Suppose that I'm "famous", not nationally or worldwide, but well-known in a small town. Maybe a solemn position - funeral director, pastor, or high school teacher. I wouldn't want people to know I play stuff like "Whiskey Headed Man", or of the humor I post with my videos. I had to remain anonymous.

Since I play from standing position (like bluegrass guitarists), I couldn't keep my face off camera easily, like some do from a seated position.

Further, it is useful to avoid creditors. Mask!

  • Well, I guess I understand your position, but speaking for myself, I would find hiding my identity with a ski mask distracting to my audience. Maybe a little unsettling. I'm glad you didn't tell me, the mask is to hide disfigurement. I think if I had no choice, I would go with a full body disguise. stuff.

  • I would suggest black face, but that might get you some negative comments, and it is too much work. How about mustache, beard, glasses and hat. Develop a theatrical character. You play very well. I just think this method, is hiding your talent also and rather silly. Thanks for sharing. Good stuff.

  • KeniLee, you play very well yourself, and I'm sure you've been doing it a while, and are probably well-versed in the lore and history of our kind of music. We must never forget that there was also a comical, clowning, silly side of performance: Hoakum - Jug Band - Medicine Show - Minstrel - String Band.

Somebody's gotta do it so the younger YouTubers will know it has variously been a part of the art form. Thanks for posting.

  • Ya, you got a good point there. Kind of like Charley Patton, The Masked Marvel. How about one of those Mexican wrestling masks? One with a skull face. Now you got me thinking. Watch out! Keep the faith. Thanks for sharing.

  • what makes your 12-string the only one in the world - you noticed that National in my video was a one of a kind....
