He is driving a Viper, can obviously shift and work a manual tranny yet hits the wrong pedal? Highly unlikely.
With all the known defects with Vipers (frame fractures from thin material, steering racks breaking off from the frame under track conditions, rear ends failing causing drivers to lose control and the list that goes on), wouldn't surprise me at all if the brakes went out. Hitting the wrong pedal is something 80 year olds or people who can barely drive at all do.
My understanding was that he had hit the wrong pedal and panicked. It appeared to me that he was still accelerating when he went through the tires barrier which would support that.

yeah, you might be right.
(I only saw this video 2 years ago, and the comments were that he had lsot brakes)
