I agree with the 150CC. Get to 1st place, Blue Shell, Blue Shell, Red Shell. 12th place and half a lap behind. I'm not describing one instance either, this is every single time I play. Maybe if we could turn off the blue shell, but nope.

As to those saying it's really easy, give me your address and email. I'll send you an SD card with my status on it. Copy, mail back and show me your status then I'll admit to being a some Mario Kart noob, cause I'm convinced you can't fairly unlock Daisy.

@Arc13 150 CC isn't hard, and neither is Mirror Mode. I beat the game and unlocked everything in two days flat.

Use a game stragety by always keeping a green shell or banana behind you and not letting it go. I choose bikes so I can pop wheelies. Jump at the last seconds to avoid POW. If you're lucky, you can get shot out of a cannon at the moment a blue shell comes and it'll hit you. If you die, press the go button at the right time you get a boost as soon as you hit the ground.

@purplespark631 I always have a green shell behind me or banana, I've learne dnot to trust the stupid cube thing. I do always use bikes, though I'll admit I have not heard of any ability to jump without going off a ramp that'd be useful to know(seeing as the manual and game have told me jack about how to play forcing me to learn for myself, though I suppose that's not a bad thing). As for blue shell, luck isn't a good strategy to rely on. I've used most of this advice already.

Should be called Mario Bike Wii because the bikes are overpowered online. I use to be a bike user with an average in 9000s easily, but I switched back to karts when I heard about Mario Kart 7 and now I'm lucky to get to 8000.

Ok 150cc was hard but I have gold in everything! My overall grade is A and the no free for all battle doesn't mean much to me cause I mostly race. 150cc is there for the pros only so noobs should just stay away (no offence). My advice is to practice by doing the time attacks with the staff members to learn new tricks and to just get better at racing. 150cc is brutal but you at least get a reward for your hard work. If you think this is unfair then you obviously never played a rayman game.

@xXDottyBoyMeXx My issue is that the mode isn't hard...it's just too luck-based. You get punished by these over-powered items hat you can't stop constantly. Glad that they took out the Mega Mushroom, Thundercloud and POW Blocks in the new one for 3DS.

the items are HORRIBLE in the game. Thats my only one complaint. Red shells are far too common, bloopers are pointless torture, and a cloud is STUPID. Other than that though its a good game.

@Shriffican I am. If you consider "Hardcore" to be crazy into FPS and all that, then no. But I'm hardcore with the titles that Nintendo gives me. I'll do tournaments on MK Wii and get into it. I've pulled all nighters with friends on Brawl, doing 99 minute matches, and I'll play through the classics on Super Mario All-Stars. I guess it all depends on your definition of hardcore. But you have to remember that it doesn't necessarily mean FPS after FPS, or bitching about a headshot.

Getting a gold trophy in 150cc isn't difficult, but I wish the AI didn't punish you so much for being in 1st place. The main difficulty comes from attempting to get the 3 star rating at 150cc, but even then, unless you have terrible luck, you'll get it pretty quickly.

My main problem with this game is the HUGE lack on online options, Nintendo decided to make continental and worldwide (FOR NO REASON!!! THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO MODES!!!!) instead of what anybody with half a brain would've done which is separate it out according to vehicle options or maybe cc clases..... Also the worldwide top10s should've had separate leaderboards for karts and bikes.....

The only issue I have with this game are some of the items being unbalanced. Blue shell, I'm looking at you. Blueshell should go back to it's Mario Kart 64 implementation where it hits like a red shell, but can hit players on the way and can't be destroyed. Infact, if it homed into players in front of you on the way that would be interesting too.

Overall this is one of the best games I've ever played, 8.5 really isn't fair in my opinion. 9.5+ is more like it.

I don't like Balloon Battle. It was much better (in my opinion) when the game would end if you lost all of your balloons or knocked out all your opponents. It was my favorite part of the DS version; made it a lot more competitive. Now, to me, it's just not as fun...
