I don't got actually Xbox-Live...yet, but i play with my brother story mode and terrorist hunt, but i usaly choose diffrent weapons cause of the situation...Like a shotgun for close range spots, or a rifle for long ranges(That one only in campaign), and SMG's/Assault's for all of them, i tried all the weapons once or more, but only liek a few for most sitations...Like the MP9, P90, Xm for terroist hunt, 552 Commando, MP5N, Ak-47 and a few more...

I like the 870/raging bull for live, but for a general multi-purpose weapon set, I get the G3, 870 and USP 40.

Excellent choice. For me it's the MP9 for close quarter work because of the high rate of fire. And the M21E light machine gun for when the shit hits the fan outdoors. Just open up and everthing either dies or takes cover! :o)

@John234pwns In real life shotguns have a bit more range than you see in the average first person shooter (short range devastation). The Rainbow Six series is one of the few games to get shotgun range right.
