  • thank the lord this is an alternate

  • wait, so they aren't innocent...he says they did a few human sacrifices...? why are they whining about all the distrust when they ARE guilty?

  • The real ending was much better. Carol guilting Art into apologizing was hard to watch. And not very believable. Since when does Art care what anyone thinks? He's an irrational nut case and that's why we love him. He's a contrast to Ray's character. Oh well, the real ending was just right.

  • This ending is hilarious but the other ending was the better choice. still love the "sometimes I get carried away"

  • In LA...no one said anything!!! Oh Shit!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • maybe somebody someday who owns the dvd that knows how to upload the burbs movie can upload it on here for millions of people to enjoy instead of just a 6 minute short

  • @ezescousin14213 or they (meaning you) can just fucking buy it and quit being a fag

  • So in the alternate ending, the Klopecks really are Satanists?

    OK, fine by me.

  • @Gigakoops they always were. there is only about 15 seconds different in this

  • @EscapeFromPenzance Yeah they always were satanists/wierdo's but all this footage in this is different, with some similarities.

  • Glad they used the other one :P It was so much more exciting.

  • "... there goes the weirdo!" ... Lüv it =D

  • 0:07 lmao =)

  • This was the ORIGINAl ending.

  • Off the subject but it's funny that Ray reprimands Art for stealing Walter's lighter, but himself steals Ricky's lighter earlier in the movie (just before Art's Skip-killings monologue).

Yeah I've seen this film a lot.

  • I think this ending only seems really bad because it's not finished. It's lacking the music and some tighter editing. I do prefer the proper ending though.

  • i think hans says more in this tiny clip than in the entire movie

  • "The Art and Ray show....Live!" Now THAT'S a show I would watch. Love this film. I've never seen this ending though.

  • 00:15 i cry with laughter :P

  • I like the one they used but this ending is awesome. Bernard Herrmann adds to anything.

  • This one was boring. I like the other one

  • Yea I c why thy didnt use ths one. So aniclimatic. Th other's better.

  • art you house is on fire ... and you wife is here

    MY WIFE????

    yeah, fuck the house :D

  • the real ending is better

event though, thank you sir for sharing this w/ us

  • Wow, this ending is awful. One of my favorite movies. No tan lines!

  • It's too bad they didn't keep the " Hans send me a license plate " line into the film that's classic Rumsfield!!

  • I love this film but I didnt know there was an alternative ending! Still prefer the original one though :)

  • The original ending makes much more sense as in a fucked up kind of way, they suburbanites were all absolutely right also justified in their suspicions and actions. It still doesn't quite clear up who were the crazy ones. Both I guess.

  • God,I love this street.

  • Klopeck..? Is that Slovic...? NO!

    HAHA

    Love this movie

  • rube's goin to the bighouse

  • 2:58 Yeah, Danny Elfman is correct; L.A. is FULL of "veirdos" like The Klopeks

After a year, you get used to seeing all the oddballs, smells, and human sacrifices... and the drum circles UUGGGHHHhhh...

  • I've watched this show a thousand times since it was new and never ever heard of this alterante ending.....WHERE IN THE WORLD did you get this from????

  • @Ooberpoonage

    ripped it from the dvd

  • This ending really didn't match the mood of the rest of the movie. Its a bit too subtle and slow. Glad they went with the one that they did.

  • Yes, the theatrical version is better, but this alternative ending is very interesting, and has some excellent parts too.

  • We got the PIZZA DUDE COMING

  • The Original ending is a thousand times better than this, Also in Original ending i like the way Corey Feldman says "god i love this street" right at the very end.

  • Henrik Ibsen is purdy. He can wrestle with me in an ambulance any day.

    Bwa ha hah

  • I wish they would've kept that ending in

  • The ending they used in the movie is much, much better.

  • what a bad ending

  • I like this ending, although the original is superior, I wish this was included on the DVD...

  • @GearMonkey75 it is

  • The other way is better, but I do like a few scenes here. I like how Reuben and Hans got more to say, and how the Rumsfelds went into their house. They should of left that, but I think they did the right thing with the other ending.

  • i love rumsfield and the burbs

  • I LOVED the original ending and am very happy they ended the movie with that ending, however, this one had a couple aspects which I liked. I liked the explanation The Doctor gave, I loved the birthday thing, and I LOVED how they ended it with the Mr. Rogers theme. I think that if they added these things into the original ending and combined the two, the ending would be perfect :D

  • Other ending was way better. They made the right call.

    I absolutely love this movie!

  • supposedly there is another ending where Ray is killed by klopeck but this was never released in any form. They shot 3 endings.

  • this is the wrong one

  • I want to see the part right before that when Tom Hanks throws himself in the back of the ambulance. Gahd, that's hilarious!

  • @chrisanthemum7 That is one of my fav. parts as well! hilarious!!!

  • Agreed... they chose the proper ending for the movie. This was probably in my top ten favorite movies of all time- perhaps only because I first saw it when I was 12, but you can't say it wasn't an awesome movie.

  • pizza dude!

  • lol ywah, the original ending is much better... love this movie

  • this ending was not good at al

  • There are some good lines (like Dr. Klopeck describing why he wanted to live here - "the quiet, the privacy, the convenient shopping and ample parking!"), but this ending is anticlimactic. Doesn't fit for the overall movie. Glad they went with the other one.

  • yeah this ending is lacking...them flying out of the ambulance on the stretcher and tom hanks yelling citizen's arrest is one of the best scenes! i did always wonder why they wanted to move into the knapps house so badly that they would kill them for it and this one answered it.

  • this version is really bad

  • Definitely glad they went with the other ending. In this one though I love when Rumsfield says "Rube's gonna do time, goin to the big house". "Hey Hans, send me a license plate" "A little of the old debriefing" then when he carries his wife into the house

  • I can't believe Henry Gibson passed away this past year

  • Thanks for posting this. Clearly the wrong ending.........

  • corey feldman at his best but this ending does suck, the original is much better

  • original ending is way better

  • boy am I glad they didn't use that ending! unsatisfying and boring.

  • This ending sucked, Corey Feldman's last line seemed so out of place in this version.

  • i like both endings. :)

  • the other end is better

    "art your wife is here"

    "MY WIFE?"

  • @crieff405 and your house is on fire! but hes more concerned that his wife is home! i lol'ed! love this film! thanks for the upload.

  • @crieff405 actually it was: "Art, your wife is here.. and your house is on fire." -"MY WIFE IS HERE!?"

  • Thank God they deleted this ending

  • Thanks! -Been meaning to buy the DVD for this ending. Original ending is still the best; nothing beats Cory Feldman yelling "PIZZA DUDE!" at the end when the ambulance is crashing, hahahahahahaa!
