I got T-Boned in my 2011 Subaru Impreza on my way to school yesterday. The SUV hit me straight on the driver's side, and after the crash I noticed that the door was only a few inches away from my face. Looking at the damage now, I am lucky to be alive. My Subaru really did save my life.
Saw my comment is at the top; it's nice to see that there's some other Subaru faithfuls out there. Since my accident on March 7th, I got myself an 06 WRX sedan and love it to death. I owe my life to these extraordinarily engineered machines.
The music was written and performed by Lee Blaske, who did the "Journey of a Vampire" CD, and does lots of other movie, commercial and orchestral/band work.
After watching Subi dominate WRC, then it can save your ass on the shared flat ground called the streets where your a good driver, but you cant really say that about the person comming right head onto you >.>
I'm not a fan of new cars at all, i can't stand most of them, but the new expedition and this subaru legacy are ones i can make exceptions for.. theres something about the one in this commercial that looks so right..

My side airbags deployed and the side impact beams kept me from being seriously hurt. God bless Subaru.
Oh yes, one other thing. That wagon now has over 236,000 miles on it. The second incident involved my 1993 Legacy Sport Sedan. I was rear-ended on the way to work by a Ford Expedition. No visible damage to the Legacy, the Expedition front bumper was clearly tilted down and-no joke-you could clearly see the imprint of the other guy's license plate in my rear bumper. This was before cell phone cameras so no pics. Sorry. Subaru High Mileage Club dot com - yeah baby!

I skidded down a hill into an intersection and t-boned another vehicle. My wife and then 8 year old son were in the car with me. No air bags, but we all walked away. That happened to me afew weeks ago. This big truck came out of no where going 60 Mph, but my little impreza took that big hit like champ, I didn't even get a scratch. And I got a Subaru again.

okay follow me on this.. at 0:39 he unscrews the clutch knob, and at 0:44 he puts in his pocket.. and at 0:56 its in the passenger seat!!! how the hell does that happen?!?!?
@xvise66 is that really hard to understand? first he unscrews yes and places in pocket he would have thrown it in the passenger seat before driving off cause he felt uncomfortable with a large knob in his pocket.... we the viewers of this commercial wouldn't see this cause the producers thought that having a longer commercial so they can explain how a knob moves around.... put yourself in his place everything he did was normal and confusing...... I have a problem with this commercial, because he states that the Subaru saved his life; but the crash was head on- meaning that either he didn't see the other driver, or his breaks failed. If it was a side impact or rear impact, he would not be the one at fault, but a front impact means that it was either mechanical or human failure...

My mother crashed her car head on because the car infront of us actually goes in reverse coming out of a parking space, FAST. Since our car was hit head on, we were at fault. (Parking space next to the fast road)

(actually happened to someone i know and nearly got killed, luckily he was driving an armada and crushed it like a tank, otherwise if he was in a smaller car he'd probably be toast)
Great ad. I only caught the end of it on TV so I'm glad I was able to find this on here and see all of it. It also reminds me of when my ex-husband was in a very bad accident in his Saturn VUE - we saved a tail light from it as a reminder that it had saved his life.

i wanted to cry when i saw this commercial
reminded me of my accident ha i took my cars gear shift knob off, too. then i put it on my new car. i loved my old car. he was my first car :(

I have a problem with this commercial, because he states that the Subaru saved his life; but the crash was head on- meaning that either he didn't see the other driver, or his breaks failed. If it was a side impact or rear impact, he would not be the one at fault, but a front impact means that it was either mechanical or human failure...

@drummermg131 Maybe, maybe, maybe... In the state of Florida, the one that gets hit head on is at fault... Even though they have the law of Florida no fault... that is only for $10,000 coverage... You'll still get the citation.
My mother crashed her car head on because the car infront of us actually goes in reverse coming out of a parking space, FAST. Since our car was hit head on, we were at fault. (Parking space next to the fast road)

@drummermg131 Oh yeah, she played it out... Walked out of the car to complain, but sat back inside for the paramedics to extract her on a stretcher... The state sees it as: If you can see it infront of you, you have time to react and the other person does not. Go figure, and thanks :)

maybe he was going 90 mph at night on the highway and hit a broken down car blocking the road with no hazard lights on. (actually happened to someone i know and nearly got killed, luckily he was driving an armada and crushed it like a tank, otherwise if he was in a smaller car he'd probably be toast)

Great ad. I only caught the end of it on TV so I'm glad I was able to find this on here and see all of it. It also reminds me of when my ex-husband was in a very bad accident in his Saturn VUE - we saved a tail light from it as a reminder that it had saved his life.
