The "Split or Steal" mechanic is not entirely fair. With Split, you either get half or nothing. With Steal, you either get all or nothing. Mathematically, you'd be stupid not to choose Steal. This is clearly meant to keep the show from paying out more often.

Now, if a Split-Steal outcome meant a 25-75 respective share, then you'd have a fair game. Do you choose Split, which guarantees a cash outcome for you, or Steal, which could mean big bucks or big bust?
