you know what, I am a christian, but still like old Fred, Yes it is true that some of his teachings are not from the "source" of all sources, but there is a lot of christian truth in lots of it----I agree that if it softens peoples hearts to be open to Christ, then it is a good thing......all roads, lead to Christ...in the end........Amen!!!

Even so, Taosim is not a religion, it is almost synonmous with intuition, and, in my opinion, will ultimately lead others to Christ. Do not ever underestimate just how much "God works in MYSTERIOUS ways".

I meant that some people need to be exposed to some kind of spirituality first (the idea of God) before they are ready for the exclusivity of Christ's teachings. If Dyer is doing what you are saying he is doing, then that is on him, and he will be judged for it. God knows people's hearts and will draw them to Christ if they have an open heart.
How is it deceptive? If you know what is true, you cannot be deceived. Dyer's 'source' cannot be named---if you watched his program, you would know that.
He doesn't even talk about Christ. He speaks of God. And God, or Christ, or whoever, is a non-changing being. There is nothing new-age to speak of. Only new ideas. Remember, Christ was a new idea 2000 years ago. And the Catholics removed MUCH scripture from the Bible. That's historical fact.
You should check out the debate communities on livejournal. You'd probably like them a lot. And it's certainly a better forum for this type of discussion.
