watching this video makes me really ready for this pheasant season in NW KS. as far as dogs go i perfer flushing dogs mostly because they retrieve better than a pointer.

i just finished hunter saftey and i was wondering when you go hunting for pheasant how are you suppoded to hold your gun is it with the action open or the saftey ??

@pnstate40 When I go hunting, I bring a break barrel shotgun, and the gun is always open until my dog goes on point and I'm ready to shoot. With the action open, the gun can not fire. Safety first, always.

Those birds used to jump the hell outa me playingin the woods growing up. Thats the best kind of snow to be walking in. Good and dry. Doesn't stick. Dove and quail is all I've hunted. That looks like fun.

It's a lot of work, but when I know folks are actually enjoying it, that's all I need. By the way I liked how you showed the process of trapping hogs. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. Right now I'm working day and night on a commercial, so I haven't had much time to sit down.
